Los Banditos

The restaurant is lovely, was greeted at the door and the music/singers were fabulous and added to the atmosphere. The food was ok, we have been before and the food was nicer last time, maybe a different chef. Twice we had to go up to the bar for our drinks as we were all dry, we would have had more drinks and spent more money if the service had been there.

Looking for a meal before a theatre show, the menu at Toluca looked really good, which is why we chose to come. We were there before 6pm on a Tuesday night and it was virtually empty; it would be unfair to comment on the atmosphere without seeing it more full. We were looked after really well and the food was delicious. It took a little time to arrive, but the menu states that it is all cooked fresh. I forgot to take a picture of my main, as I was so excited to eat it 😂 We chose from the set menu, so our meals were good value for money and we were both stuffed after our starter and mains. Will definitely come here again when I'm in Lichfield... and I hope they open a branch in Birmingham!

We visited for lunch today and the food was really tasty. I had a beef burrito that came with fries and a salad. My fiancé had the chicken tacos and dirty fries. We both really enjoyed the taste of the food. We also liked the portion size as our food comfortably filled us up. The pricing was really good. We also had some tasty milkshakes. Service was brilliant aswell.

GLUTEN FREE! For all those like my wife. The food, the food! Next time I'm taking pictures, the presentation is perfect. OK the nitty gritty. The 1st time we went they had a new chief and like anyone at a new job they were slow and it did take longer then it should, but wow, when the food came my and, mouth, eyes and ears were watering. I'll be honest, I would never had thought the food would be this exceptional, everything was like it just came off the stove, nothing under done everything steaming hot. The second the food took an appropriate time to arrive. The staff is very friendly and look after you. Now you asked about the gluten free. Well my wife who can not have any gluten what so ever, has not had any problems at all, this is always an issue when we eat out at somewhere new. We have been twice snd neither time did she have any problems. The menu being Mexican is really mainly free of gluten so it's easy pickens for those with the old gluten allergy. Oh, the cheesecake, well it is no longer gluten-free, really sad to say. My wife had just plopped a fork full in her pie hole when I released it had a cookie crumb base and being that she has celiac disease, well we caught it on time, and she spat it out. Oh yeah, live music locals on the weekends.
