Great wee find on a day out sightseeing. Excellent choice for lunch, including gluten free options, which was a welcome bonus! Staff were really friendly and knowledgeable about the menu options. The value for money was fantastic. Really enjoyed our food, we'll definitely be back!

We had lunch here, dinner for 5.. the beef was absoloutely delicious, fresh fish cooked perfectly and the steak cibatta amazing. Even the balsamic sauce that came with the salad was lovely. The salt and chilli chips were delicious. Everything was amazing. A great menu to choose from, hot delicious food, very tasty, very friendly service and a real cosy atmosphere. An added bonus, the guiness is really nice too!! I would highly recommend and will make this a stop for sure on my next trip here.
The food is very delicious, the only caveat is the fries that were probably baked in the same oil as the fish because they tasted like it.

28th April....Went tonight 8oz Rump was like butter, most definitely the best steak ever.
1st night of the new season, didnt disappoint.
Back tonight for our last steak night of the season. Back to the sirloin and it was pretty darn good. Next year if you could deploy an open fire grill, would give a better char to the steak and change really good to epic. Not pleased having to pay £1 for English mustard though. Still great value, still great staff, still great atmosphere, hoping you survive the winter and we'll be back next April. As a last evening will be back next Saturday night, think I'll have a change though....battered fish methinks!
Happy to update my previous review. Had the 8oz Rump tonight, was tender and flavourful, as were the sides and sauce. Staff, as usual, attentive and efficient. For £24 for 2 who on earth would bother ever cooking at home.
Have a table booked for 8 people for end of season. Looking forward to it already!!
Totally top class establishment. Catered for our allergies, staff were really friendly and accommodating. The best meal I've had out since allergies (6 yrs). Chef told us what he could prepare and the food was amazing. Beautifully presented and delicious. Restaurant was clean and really nice. Will definitely be back!!

Fabulous place, so friendly, comfortable and the best of food. Every single thing I have eaten here in the past two days has been so tasty, presented well and cooked and prepared exactly how it should be. I cannot recommend this place enough. I will be back in the future to taste these delights again for sure.. some of the best food I have had the pleasure in experiencing for a long time. Well done to all the staff and owners here, a fabulous place.

We visited here yesterday (Sunday) party of 6 adults and 2 children. We had the carvery and it was absolutely delicious! The meat melted in your mouth! The staff were very attentive asking if everything was ok or if there was anything else we needed! Was our first time here after recommendations from a member of family. I can honestly say we will definitely be returning. Thankyou
I was there last week and the food/drinks was delicious. I was very pleasantly surprised to see the many gluten free options. I highly recommend if you have celiac or are gluten-sensitive. My boyfriend loved his meal too, and he's not celiac.

Had the pork belly main with garlic chips and the lemon posset for desert. All of it was simply incredible. Pork belly just melted in the mouth and the lemon posset when coupled with the berry compote was perfect. The staff were all very friendly and the service was excellent. Great place.
