Friendly staff and tasty food! Menu could do with some better healthier options. Chicken ceasar, for example, but what we had was super tasty and a decent serving. Staff friendly and a good place to stop off when visiting Limekilns.
7 years the owners have run this place and you can see why they are still popular. Nice food, nice staff and nice prices.
We were visiting Limekilns for an early evening walk and decided to go to the Bruce Arms for a meal. Very friendly staff and a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Dog friendly! The food was fresh and delicious. A wide choice of interesting dishes on the menu - including a good range of vegetarian options. Thoroughly recommended!

This was my first pub outside London area and I was surprised to see a Goan fish curry being served and it was that day special … it was good in a unique way . Well done to the chef
We walked in about 6pm on a Saturday and the place was busy! A very nice server told us it was a busy day with all the reservations, but she would check with the back. She came back and was able to fit us in quickly 🙌. Such great hospitality for two wandering foreigners. And the food and drink were great too!
To be honest I’ve only had the steak pie. Also might be biased as on and off been eating here since the 1980’s. I can say when I bring people with me it’s a winner. Best steak pie in my opinion and this fat kid loves pie. My friends and family are always happy with the service and quality of food. I recommend the sticky toffee pudding with custard. I’m loyal I’m biased and I’ll be going here until the day I expire.
We really like this place, a wee local family pub with a great atmosphere. Food portions are a good size and they are tasty. Being dog friendly is an added benefit :)
