I've been here twice now on a Sunday. Lovely restaurant with super efficient and friendly staff. We felt very welcomed and enjoyed the food. Very fresh and good quality. If you visit be sure to taste their HOMEMADE sticky toffee pudding. Its delicious! Lunch menu was really good too TWO COURSE £16.00, THREE COURSES £20.00

Passing by, I had never until a few weeks ago, found Lawson’s open. An A-board in the street with the lunchtime menu. First impressions, an old stone building, as are most of the buildings in the street, the restaurant had empathy with the building. The first floor opens out onto a courtyard. No shade, and a high wall blocks the view of the surroundings. I was directed to a table for two. A menu was brought, I decided upon soup of the day and slow roast belly pork, and cold water. The vegetable soup was excellent, with two large chunks of bread and a tiny pat of butter. Followed by slow roast belly pork with vegetables. The spices in the mash was overdone. I would have appreciated an additional slice of belly pork, on the other hand, it was lunchtime and probably would have been too much A short cocktail list on a board by the bar. I was brought a dessert menu. Nothing I fancied. In the evening it closes quite early at nine. Maybe due to the binge drinking bars nearby, it would not be safe for diners or staff. Staff pleasant and helpful.

Amazing food, wonderful service, and lovely setting. So good we stopped for lunch and went back for our evening meal on the same day! Cannot recommend this place enough, in fact we have...to everyone! We will definitely be back on our next visit to Lincoln.

Came for the lunch menu and had 3 courses for £20 which really was excellent value given the choice and quality of food served.

First time here and had very high hopes. We were not disappointed with the greeting we received and throughout the service was excellent. Very friendly and professional. Initially we had opted to eat outside in the courtyard but it was way too hot so moved indoors. The courtyard itself wasn't very welcoming. A little sparse. But inside the dining area was beautiful. A lovely light, bright room, ideal for lunching. And then the food. Firstly have to say the junior meal was great value for money and quite large portions. But my wife's vegetable tart was very disappointing. Not very inspiring. I had the belly pork and it was just a bit ordinary and bland. I still have most of my own teeth so passed on the crackling because it was rock hard. On a positive note the desserts were good and we all enjoyed them.

Really lovely place. The food was delicious and the service was really good. It wasnt busy when we there (Thursdsy evening) but I can imagine it does on the weekend. We both had the twice cooked cheese souffle to start, followed by the pork belly (for my mum) and the lamb for me (the lamb was cooked perfectly and the haggis bon bon was so yummy). To round off I had some ice cream whilst my mum had the pecan pie. Overall, we highly reccomend this restaurant.

Beautiful, historic building at the lower end of Steep Hill, offering semi-formal dining with a relaxed atmosphere. The lunch menu was appealing, with quite a large range. Food was excellent. Super quality, cooked and presented beautifully and priced very reasonably. Small range of beer/lager, but wide range of wine. Fabulous lunch experience!

I dined at Lawson's last night with a group of friends and had a great experience. We pre ordered food due to the size of our party and made a few requests regarding tweaks to dishes and consideration of allergies. On arrival the team warmly welcomed us, were aware of our requests and the service ran like clockwork... nothing was to much trouble. The food itself was of a very high quality and delicious.. and it was a lovely environment to dine in.

A random choice of eateries as we wanderered aboit Lincoln looked good from the outside and the inside didn't disappoint. The mix of contemporary style with old architectural features works really well. The staff were attentive and friendly and the food was superb, fancy restaurant styling with moderate prices. I had the chicken and ham kiev with pesto mash and a balsamic glaze, my lady had Beer battered Haddock with chips and peas and my step daughter had Rigatoni pasta. All the dushes were fabulous, we will return.

Ate here last night & had a wonderful dining experience. The staff are very friendly & very attentive. For starters I had mussels which were incredible & the portion size was enough for two. Girlfriend had the pate which she said was delightful. For main I had the lamb shank which was superb & girlfriend had one of their signature dishes the 12hr beef blade which she said just melted in her mouth. Lawson's is a quieter more intimate place to sit & eat & can't reccomend it highly enough!
