Fantastic place, great food and choices. Breakfast can be included if wanted. Quiet place to unwind and chill. Beautiful an hour walk along the canal to Lincoln. Great shopping center at Lincoln City centre. Bus runs every hour from.the complex to Lincoln.

Food and service was very good and the menu was priced very competitively. The food was hot and enjoyable and our waitress was very attentive and helpful. The initial reception on first arrival was a little slow but the staff were busy and it was not a major issue. We had a frail pensioner with us and the lighting at the front entrance could do with improving to light the pathway from the car park.

Generally good food, though it was relatively long wait. This we were made aware of on arrival so was not unexpected. Food came and was good size and tasty for pub food. The brownie dessert was very tasty. Staff were friendly, though could have been more available when waiting for food to give an update.

We stayed here 3 nights while on business in Lincoln, the rooms were clean and tidy. First night a little noisy, doors rattling and water in pipe noises. Second night got the ear plugs in and everything great.
No reception at the hotel you have to go into the bar to check in , never like this system but guess it cuts down on staff. Talking of staff all very friendly, great people but lacking the amount of staff.
This was apparent in the restaurant very very slow service due to lack of staff. The staff that were there were run off their feet, but always with a smile. Couldn't fault them.
Food, well mostly average but at this price point can't really complain having said that the ultimate chicken burger was good. Not a large selection for breakfast but again ok.
Would I go back, yes I would.

Wonderful place to relax, talk and eat great food. We stayed in the accommodation block next door for two nights. Really good.

Parked at woodcocks pub so we could go out on our stand up paddle boards on the river which runs adjacent to the pub, we have paddled from there before during time trials. The staff are friendly and don't have any issues with people using the car park. Once we had finished the paddled we went for a well deserved cold drink after been out in the sun for a couple of hours. The staff was lovely and friendly, very happy to welcome us. Lovely atmosphere, with all types of people from younger people, parents with young kids and slightly older people all happy and enjoying the weather

Absolutely stunning location. Not much around but it's a great stop off towards somewhere else.
Beautiful and quiet, plenty of car park spots, a great pub with tasty food.
The rooms have everything you need. The beds are a bit narrow and the AC is making a weird noise but everything else is great.

Excellent accommodation. Staff very friendly especially Ally that booked us in and served us this morning and ordered us a taxis . Nothing was too much trouble. Food was excellent also. Would not hesitate to come again.

Nice Summers day out. It was very busy, so had to wait a while for the food. Staff very friendly. Had a memorable day.

Our room was excellent, especially to meet my wife's disability issues.
Our dinner and breakfast were absolutely fine.
Best of all were the staff, all of whom were friendly and helpful.
I must mention Beth, our evening waitress. She could not be faulted and improved our dining experience. As well as great service, she simply made us smile. I had 4 or 5 conversations with Matt..
He is super efficient and professional.
We would not be looking anywhere but Woodstocks the next time we stay in the area.
Thank you

Always fast and excellent service every time we visit, food is cooked well. Staff are happy to help. Would recommend more selection on starters.

Stayed here for work loads this year its absolutely brilliant, one of my favourite stops. Rooms are spotless and modern. Biscuits left every day and cleaned. Location next to canal is perfect for walks and runs. Love it. Been for food couple times which is great value when you do the daily offers. And double up on the chips!

Excellent arrived and was immediately shown to our table (we had prebooked on line)
Within a few minutes we were asked if we would like to order drinks which we did, and also gave our food order. Five minutes later our coffee arrived, on asking for some more sugar the lady immediately went to get some. About 20 mins later our main courses arrived, generous servings, tasty, and attractively served. The pub was very very busy so a 20 minute wait was more than acceptable.
After our meal we asked for the bill which was produced with the card machine. All staff were neatly dressed, friendly, helpful and professional and are to be commended as the pub was exceptionally busy and they managed to keep everyone happy. The pub was clean, with a pleasant ambiance, cutlery and tables were clean and the pub operated a table service only
Overall a good experience and we will not hesitate to return

Nice hotel, pub itself friendly and cheerful.
Breakfast a little dear for a small breakfast, but I think it's similar everywhere. Coffee machine both broke down. Beer garden lovely, food served to people looked lovely 😍

I was recommended the Woodcocks by a friend as a place to stopover whilst completing a charity bike ride.
Nothing was too much trouble from arranging an evening meal for 14 and breakfast the following day to the just simple courteous and friendly attitude of all the staff.
Well done to Matt and his team

Waited for ages. Drinks never arrived. Hunters chicken bake was like a dish of vomit- have pic if anyone wishes to see it. When I found the one piece of chicken it was approx 3x3 inch big. The supposedly crispy topping was never to be seen and something was welded to the side of the dish.
Partners had steak salad and the steak was stone cold. When waitress who was run ragged asked how food was I said not good. Showed her the meal and she just looked so embarrassed. She took 20% off the total as compensation which I guess is all she is allowed to do. Whole experience was awful and have complained to marstons head office now.

Waited ages to be seated although plenty of free tables. Staff walked past us ignoring us, one staff member said someone would be with us soon to seat us. Seater & greeter eventually came, we asked for a table for 3, she did not speak to us at all, she pointed to the end of the restaurant so we assumed she meant for us to walk down and find our own table which we did. Food and drink order was taken eventually, food arrived first, no drinks, the server carried 3 plates and my plate was pressing down on top of my son's food, my plate was handed to me and should have been placed on the table as it was extremely hot, no warning was given. We asked for our drinks again, the server apologised and explained the order went to the bar but the bar staff did not have it ready. Beef and ale pie was not good, all the meat was gristle what there was of it. My son had vegetable sticks with his meal they were not freshly prepared. There was lots of waiting, only one of the 6 staff members that dealt with us smiled and/or spoke. The restaurant was not busy so would have expected better service all round.

If you were to order chicken Katsu fries would you expect to have Some chicken in the dish? Came here Friday and after a really long wait i received this dish minus the chicken. Due to the wait it wasn’t worth the time complaining.
The hotel side is immaculate and nice it’s just the food side of the pub that lets the side down,

Fantastic for gluten free menu, coped very well with our large party without much notice and even brought some garlic bread for the kids because we had a little bit of a wait for our food. 241 offer cut a huge slice off the bill for our lunch.

very poor service poor food and management are a disgrace to Marstons - waited an hour and half for food which was poor to say the least then called a lier by the manager - won't be coming back

Been a couple of months since our last visit, and will not be calling again,my lasagna was the size of one Weetabix,my husband had scampi and about 8chips and mushy peas he said he didn't ask for a child's portion?and our granddaughter had the chicken and bacon,we had a small red wine, lemonade and a Pepsi for the bargain price of £30 so cannot say it's good value at all sorry!!!

The staff worked very hard considering they are expected to serve as a reception area for rhe hotel on site.
Breakfast was lovely and we had burgers in the garden grill bar in the evening which were delicious.
Too much is put on the staff in the main bar, more should be done to assist them.
I spoke to one of the members of staff and said l would send a letter to head office as that is where the instructions come from.
We had a lovely weekend there staff very friendly and reasonable prices for food and drink.

Very warm day so sat outside and had a chicken and bacon salad with chips , endless lemonade and on a meal deal great !

The food was insanely good! Was just a shame about the waiting service ! Stood there like a lemon for about ten minutes until someone eventually came over and said , oh just take a seat where ya want! lol thanks for letting me know love ! but food was spot ON! Compliments to the chef on Sunday about 5pm ish.

I'd organised a walk for my walking group Wobbits of Lincolnshire from castle square to the pub and a group of 8 of us dropped into the pub for lunch on Saturday the 24th. We were greeted as soon as we walked in, shown to a table at the back of the restaurant with a nice view out of the windows and were pleased with the service we received. The food was lovely and our overall experience was nice.

Aweful Luke warm tasteless rice, peas, bloody aweful thin lukewarm gravy, nice pie tho (bought in) thankfully...and mega aweful lukewarm tasteless tea...& apparent lack of sugar...thank god it's not our regular eatery...pretty dismal place folks !!
Jason Blanchard
Waited nearly 30mins for drinks to arrive then 45 mins for food to arrive , my sauce didn't come with my steak when I asked where it was I was told to order some which I already had then he said he was going to get it and he never did so I had to go and complain , my wife's food was also incorrect and no ones steak was cooked properly , so after the horrible experience we will not be coming back

We had a private function yesterday to celebrate my husbands 70th birthday and 20 people joined us for lunch ! It was just lovely , tasty, hot food , all served swiftly by friendly, eager to please staff . Would not think twice about using them again! Thank you Woodcocks staff

I was lucky enough to win a competition for four free meals and a bottle of wine. Not only did I get this all free but I also received the children’s meals free. The food was lovely, really tasty, and the kids had an absolute blast in the play area! They made lots of new friends, enjoyed playing football, and we got to watch the boats (one generous boat stopped and let the kids on board and gave them a guided tour). What a lovely atmosphere. Thankyou so much for your kindness and generosity!

We had a party of 18 for a birthday meal. We were seated and left a while to look at the menu. The waitress took a while to take the order and some ended up going to the bar for quicker service. Food was ok but took a while to the plates to be moved from the table. Some of the party wanted desserts but again had to go to the bar to be served, they were then told at the bar they couldn’t have dessert because the kitchen was closed. However this was before 10pm. Overall I was very disappointed with the overall service of the night.

I also had the Mega Mixed Grill. Absolutely fantastic. All cooked to perfection. Can't say enough about the place and the staff

Old and tatty. A once lovely venue that is now past its best. service is slow and food unappetising even for a buy one get one free pub.
