Easily my favorite Mexican food in Lincoln. It has a nice selection of authentic dishes and the more typical Americanized dishes, all executed quite well. It's located in the back of a small Mexican grocery, so it's got a very unique aesthetic, but unlike a lot of places that I would describe that way, the dining area is spacious, comfortable, and clean. This is one of the few places my foodie friends and I (as not a foodie) can all go and enjoy both the food and atmosphere.

The Mexican food here isn't good any more, because this restaurant burned down in 2015 and has been a vacant lot for years. Unless you want to eat grass and mud, look elsewhere.

Alas, La Mexicana burned down a few years ago. Was my favorite when it was open. Rumor has it there's a new but different restaurant coming for this location from the same owners.

One of my favorite places in Lincoln. A lot of the dishes are authentic. The thing that keeps me coming back are the tacos de lengua. Simply divine.
