Had a complimentary meal on Saturday. The place was packed. Service was prompt and friendly. Advised our food could be 30 to 40 min wait as it was so busy. In fact we only waited 15- 20 min. Food arrived piping hot and tasted good. The pub itself was a lot bigger than I was expecting and decorated tastefully with a mood lighting dimmer switch in the booth. Including a power socket and usb port. The roof terrace is a great addition. The staff were working very well under such pressure and all had smiling faces. They all truly deserve every success in this new venture.
just been for the complimentary breakfast, the staff were excellent nothing was too much trouble, the food was great and plentiful, but what impressed me most was the size of the interior wasn't expecting that at all. I would like to wish The King Doniert management and staff every success in what can only be described as a definite asset to the town, lets hope the people of Liskeard and surrounding areas appreciate it and make good use of it. Good luck to all concerned xx
Went in this morning and the place looks amazing and we had a fantastic breakfast served by wonderful staff. I wish the King Doniert best of luck for the future and we will be back when they officially open next week.
Had the complimentary meal on Saturday afternoon, staff were friendly and helpful, food was really nice and the pub has been done out really well a great asset to the town long may it stay
Just had a complimentary meal and drink at the King Doniert and have to say it was amazing! The staff and the premises are absolutely brilliant, the decor and layout is fantastic with an outside first floor area unprecedented for a pub in Liskeard. Looking forward to supporting The King Doniert on a regular basis and wish them and the staff every success. Hopefully patrons will donate in the Clic charity bucket collection to show their appreciation for Spoons generosity this weekend!

We came in today a party of 8 and have to say the service and food was out of this world all staff where friendly and nothing was to much trouble even the manager made an effort and introduced him self massive well done to u all we will defo be back again soon xx ( from the liskeard tavern team )
It's conveniently located at the town centre and it's beautifully decorated! Friendly and welcoming staff during our visit... some drinks on promo worth trying
It was a fairly busy time of day and grey out so the roof terrace was unused, unfortunately. My mum found booths by the bar we wouldn't have guessed were there which had parquet on the wall and portraits of interesting local women. The staff we spoke to were very friendly and keen to help
We were in need of some lunch while visiting Liskeard. The King Doniert looked smart from the outside, as though it had received a recent makeover which encouraged us to give it a try. Entering the pub we were surprised both by how big it was and also how busy. It was at this point we discovered it was operated by Weatherspoons. Although not particularly familiar with the brand we decided to give it a go and were pleased to find there were one or two items on the extensive menu that suited us. The service was surprisingly fast, and also very friendly. The food was good and the price very reasonable. We could see other customers were enjoying themselves and the atmosphere was laid back and relaxed.
We called in for a quick pint, but we ended up buying lunch as well, but no, a plus the meals came with a free drink, so a win-win for us. The food was very nice and hot the atmosphere was very comfortable no problem at all.
Boiling hot when we visited Liskeard, so air con was a blessing. Good outdoor space with a lower and upper terrace and plenty of room inside. Overall, very good Wetherspoons and we left very happy.
Nice and clean. Friendly staff.
We had managers special meal and it was really good.
Great outdoor seating areas for sunny days. And last but not least a good pint at a very reasonable price. Well worth a visit.
8 plates for £35 great value, quick and friendly service. nice layout with booths, tables, netted non-smoking terrace and outdoor smoking area with seating. Pay and display parking within 3mins walk (albeit up steep hill)
Staff are friendly. The food was ok. It's wetherspoons, so don't expect gormet. Very loud man holding court whilst we were in. Spoiled the chilled vibe of the place. Some people just love the sound of their own voice, though.
Decent food and a well kept selection of cask ales at the correct temperature . I enjoyed a Leffe at the correct temperature which is more than I can say for the Union rooms in Plymouth who keep Leffe at freezing temperatures
This is a beautiful pub that appears to have had a recent refurbishment - huge seating areas and a lovely little suntrap outside garden area. Clearly a busy pub as there were a huge amount of dirty tables - however it was coming to the end of lunch so to be expected.
It's a spoons. What more can you say? Cheap and cheerful.
Saying that this one has a roof terrace and a small beer garden, which give it some more plus points.
The toilets are located upstairs right next to the terrace. This is refreshing for a spoons since most of them locate the toilets at least a half mile walk from the bar! If you happen to be seated on the terrace, you can relieve yourself and be back sipping your £2.80 glass of pinot within 2 minutes which I reckon is some sort of Wetherspoon record!
Large restaurant with plenty of seating indoors and outside terrace. Food arrived in a reasonable time, but on this occasion my nan bread was rather hard,( hence 4 stars). I always have chicken tikka masala. Seating varied to suit all types of groups. Wheelchair and pram accessible.
Very friendly and keen staff. Food is excellent and the beer. We'll worth a visit if your hungry.
Parking is a couple hundred yards away. Not a problem.
Great service, food piping hot, busy but seating available.
Pizzas were all out of stock at 13.30pm on 14th July 2022.
Can we please bring back the condiment bottles the sachets are a nightmare to get into.
Cheap and cheerful food and drink. No music as it's a Wetherspoon's, but very busy creating a good atmosphere. Some street parking, or council car park a short walk away.
Great for a Wetherspoons, definitely the cleanest I've ever visited, no messy tables. Staff look busy and know what they're doing.
