The Spread Eagle - Liss - Photo album

Stopped in here on the way down south. Very nice burgers 🍔. Quick, very friendly staff and and tasty food. Forgot to take pics of the food as it tasted too nice!
Great pub grub. 👍 Good menu choices and food was great with a ample portion size. Nice atmosphere with a very traditional old pub style feel; 🍺 Very friendly and welcoming staff. Plenty of free parking and large outside space for when the sun is out.
Went to the spread eagle for their quiz night. Such an amazing atmosphere and Steve was amazing with the quiz. Had such a good night with very quick service and amazing food. Will definitely be going back to try more items off of the menu and to try the Sunday roast. Loads of car parking spaces and
Ambient is very nice, in a quiet location. There is plenty of free car parking as well. The food is very good, but on my plate, the black pudding was a bit too dry, but not a reason to reduce from 5 stars. The prices are affordable, and the atmosphere was great. Good place to go to.
Discovered this lovely place by accident on our way home Saturday night. The food was great as was the service and ambiance. Excellent value for money. Will certainly be visiting again.
Just pulled off the A3 for lunch, and chose Liss because it was so close. What a find in The Spread Eagle! Beautiful quaint country pub in a little village. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Beautifully presented delicious food. Will definitely go back, and next time with the whole family,
Been going to the Spread Eagle for a couple years enjoying their fabulous burger offer on a Tuesday evening, we were not disappointed this week. The pub now under new ownership has changed the decor some what , now much lighter and brighter the cluttered window sills have been replaced with simple d
First time today coming to spread eagle and we were so impressed with everything! The staff was so lovely, the food was incredible and fresh, the play area is great for kids and loved the atmosphere! Would highly recommend and will definitely be coming back again soon
This place was recommended by a friendly neighbour whilst on holiday in Liss, so glad they did. Was def worth the trek! - staff were nice enough, our table was shown to be reserved in advance. - sunday roast was best ever had, great portion size and extra side dishes of creamy broccoli. - outdoor sp
What a pleasant surprise I had when visiting a friend for lunch. We traveled to the UK from Bermuda to bring our daughter to Uni and met up with our friend from this area. This is the pub he chose for lunch and it was worth the drive!! My husband and I loved our meal very much. Thanks to our frie
Very tasty food and a decent selection of beers. The Spread Eagle is situated on the outskirts of Liss and caters for families of all ages. There's a decent sized childrens play area outside, although it's starting to look a little tired, and the inside is well furnished and decorated in a tradition
The pub has been given a lovely fresh modern feel while keeping the country pub vibe. Busy, even mid-week, which is always a good sign. Food and service were excellent. Great beer too.
Came in for lunch. Had the rare beef and horseradish sandwich, which was excellent. Served with great chips. Service was excellent and very friendly. Prices seemed fair. Only minor downsides - coleslaw wasn't very good at all, also the beer selection wasn't great. There's a great beer garden outs
A really nice pub. Understated. But really good (vegetarian) food: several options and much better than I expected.
Great pub lunch with excellent staff that we reassuringly strict with Covid guidelines. Excellent choice of gluten free main meals and the burgers were fantastic! Mixture of covered and open outdoor tables and a play area for the kids 👍
Wonderful food and so much choice! Very reasonably priced as well. We popped in on Sunday and despite not booking we were squeezed in even though it was very busy! Burger was lovely as was the whitebait, eyes bigger than belly so had to take the burger home, which they popped in foil and tupperware
Stopped off on the way back from a trip, what a lovely pub, food was spot on, staff were really friendly and polite, plenty of parking for the bikes, which you can see from the beer garden, bonus when you're fully luggaged up. Some of the garden furniture could do with replacing, but didn't detract
Just stopped for a couple of drinks on route to old thorns great pub huge garden great service will definitely be returning didn’t have food but what was coming out look great so will return to sample it
