A lovely village pub with friendly staff. We had Sunday lunch here, it was superb. The lamb was lovely and tender. A fantastic selection of vegetables. Beautiful little village pub, fantastic setting with very friendly staff, we visited as part of a Morris dancers trip on a coach, great beer as well.
We stopped here as a motorhome stopover before reaching the Harwich ferry next day. What a warm welcome by the owner and staff. We all had carvery and it was the best we have had for a long time! Fresh, local produce, meat cooked to perfection, potatoes straight out of the ground... Good quality and

Lovely pub great beer and friendly atmosphere, campervan friendly. Nice stop on the way to or from Clacton. Thank you for your hospitality
Lovely village pub, had Sunday lunch, which was great with great service from friendly landlord and landlady.
Stopped by @ noon sharp on a Sunday & although quiet, (3 other real ale drinkers @ bar!!) the staff/pub was gearing up for @ least 30 people for Sunday dinner!! I had Mole Trap by Mauldons brewery. Very nice.
