Excellent Sunday Lunch, at a decent price, in a good old English pub. Staff attentive and very friendly. Really enjoyed our short visit, didn't get time to go outside into what looks like a lovely setting by a river. Will definitely be returning.
Lovely old traditional pub. No trendy cuisine here, just great pub food and probably the best Ham, eggs and chips on the planet. Friendly staff and beautiful garden with a large pond and wildlife
Lovely little pub in beautiful setting with delicious food. But shhhh! Keep it a secret.
Lovely old traditional pub with great food and beer. We had Sunday roasts which were both really good!
2nd visit in a month. Lovely lamb, crab salad a special was lovely as was the chicken and mushroom pie. The only place that has been consistently good in service and quality since covid, I think it's my new local
Went on Saturday... not as busy... didn't need to book. Table was laid for new customers, but was still sticky. We had sharing dish only. Very tasty.
Had the day special Lamb shoulder and it was very nice. We sat in the lovely garden at the back. Friendly service.
Really nice little pub with friendly staff and good traditional British food. Would definitely pay them visit again.
Came here for a lunchtime meal. Lovely staff very warm and welcoming. Food was delicious!!!! Roast beef and hubby had sausage egg and chips 🍟 roaring fire going was very cosy after a wet walk.
Great little pub for a Sunday lunch! Delicious fish and chips and ploughman's!
Charming pub in very pretty village in the Chilterns.Come here to enjoy a lazy afternoon sitting in the beer garden next to the River Misbourne, or sit out front under the umbrellas whilst the kids play safely in the village playground opposite. The Red Lion burger was delicious as were the fries.
Wonderful helpful staff. There is a garden with a lake and ducks and a motorcycle memorabilia museum at the back of the garden. A sheer delight of a visit.
Very nice pub in in country location with good food and a museum thrown in and a lovely garden
Friendly staff, lovely ambiance.
Lovely little old place. Full of character and in a picturesque location. Prices not bad either.
Typical village pub with several real ales and a very good, reasonably priced menu. Be aware that although there is a lot of seating outside the pub isn't very large. Feeding the ducks on the big pond at the back is a nice diversion for kids.
Really good garden alongside stream. Lots of seating and outside loos. Good range of ales. Mine was only OK on this visit.
