Take a tip from a couple that dine out a lot - book a table and enjoy the sumptuous beautifully cooked food. We had Lemon sole served with a delicate sauce & Bass fish with tiger prawns presented on a full flavoured sauce. Desserts are exceptional, well thought out & unusual. Compliments to the chef. Very good selection wine. Polite efficient young staff. Atmosphere - comfortable. We enjoyed dinner once again tonight 24-9-16 for our wedding anniversary ... again the food was exemplary, good polite service good atmosphere. Recommended.

Even though they were a waitress down, the service and food were both excellent as ever. Easily the best restaurant around here.

Had lunch with my husband today - just went in after looking at menu outside. Gorgeous mussels with a nicely chilled glass of Chardonnay. My husband had the Gourmet burger and really enjoyed the twist (wrap instead of a bun). Very friendly service - thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommended. Thank you.

I am not keen on doing restaurant walk ins, have had too many disappointments. However sometimes you have no choice and occasionally you are lucky enough to find a gem.

Second time visiting 47 Mussel Row and overall pleasant experience. Service was friendly with the right amount of attention. Main courses were great and fairly priced - lamb cooked to perfection, enough of potato and veg (delicious dauphinois), generous portion of seabass and tasty prawns. The only disappointment was the scallops - would like to see a more elevated and sophisticated dish. On previous visit had the chowder and mackerel pate which were both delicious. The interior is quite rustic and not to our taste so don’t let it put you off as it did for us previously.

The food was excellent and they had smoked ling on special which had been smoked on the premises. Not a pretty looking fish, looks like a conger eel, but it is very tasty. It's a simple cafe setup inside, but you are well looked after by the serving staff.

A very nice lunch in Littlehampton. It is our first time to 47 Mussel Row. Firstly, it’s by the Littlehampton harbor with nice sea view, environment is very relax, it’s also very easy to park nearby. We arrived at 12:05pm as the first guest, waiter is very friendly and professional, he fitted us in a cozy table by the window. We ordered the Signature chowder, it is must try, very delicious with many fish and prawns inside. We also ordered Prawn Tempura, it’s not like the real Japanese style tempura, but the prawns are big and fresh and they are fried with coating to the best condition, we do like it. Of course, we ordered the mussel and it is really good, must must order. Mussels are very big and fresh, sauce is just right, everything is perfect harmony. Price is very reasonable as well. We really enjoy the meal and will come back soon.

We went to this family run restaurant and loved it. Wife was unsure about wine so they let her taste different ones. The food was amazing. Our host Rowan took care of us very well. All in all 5 stars. Happy to support local and this restaurant is definitely one of them.

Popular spot. Food and service equally good. Went for Sunday lunch and not disappointed though a couple of items on the menu not available. Wine a little expensive but that's just the world we live in... Will certainly look to return.

Had a lovely lunch food was great and service very attentive and pleasant. I would definitely recommend! The only suggestion would be slightly bigger portions but that has probably more to do with the fact that when I'm in front of great seafood, no portion will ever be enough.

Very sweet restaurant with good quality food. I reserve 5 for spectacular places but that is not to say it wasn’t very good. The waiter was lovely also. Recommend.

It was our first time visiting Mussel Row, it was clean and the decor was nice and homely. The young waiter gave great service and the food was absolutely delicious. We will definitely go back here. Would recommend! Menu is fairly small but I quite liked that as it was easy and quick to choose what we wanted.

Suspected (but not confirmed..) that this is a family run restaurant. If it is... it shows. Had really great service from two young blokes, who had the rare skill of excellent customer service, without it feeling forced or painted on in the slightest. Gave us really helpful tips for exploring the area, and were the key part of an excellent meal. Top tip is the mussels, although the only downside is the secret recipe in the sauce... Couldn't for the life of us figure out what it was, but it was delicious! I suspect we'll never know

Amazing food with brilliant experience. This restaurant is over the top, lovely riverside location, traditional English style interior. Me and my sister had a great lunch out, the meal was super fresh and very tasty. The chicken was juicy and the gravy was home made. I am such a foodie, this place is one of my favourite restaurant. It's a hidden gem- I highly recommend it. They served home made warm bread. The staff was really nice as well. Definitely worth visiting! Thank you X
