Rooms are comfortable. Clean and well decorated. We found the bed in "Prospect" room too small for two. (I am 6'2"). Food was excellent and the place is often quite busy. Best advised to book a table (in the extension if available). A friendly clientele, happy to chat with visitors. A very friendl
Lovely room modern bathroom, each room had a different theme name. The food was delicious and the choice was very good, prices were competitive. This Inn was out in the middle of nowhere with housed scattered and no street lighting. For a wonderful getaway anlong with peace and quiet this is where
Haven't eaten here yet, but fully intend to. Stopped off on a sunny Sunday afternoon. They have a great selection of craft ales and ciders. They were so busy we were queuing out the door but it was worth it. I watched some of the food coming out and it looked tops.
Really lovely pub, great accommodation, spotlessly clean, attention to detail and a very comfortable bed(I’m in need of a comfortable bed due to arthritis) so this was such a relief to have a great bed. Lovely breakfast and very friendly staff. Thank you for a great stay. I will recommend you withou
We stayed here the weekend and it was great. Our room was lovely , the bed was very comfortable with lovely crisp bedding. Staff were very friendly and Paul cooked a delicious full English breakfast. If we were ever in the area again we would definitely stay here.
A lovely old inn set in beautiful countryside that offers excellent rooms that leave you wanting for nothing. The Inn offers a very wide selection of great old English fare toeat in very traditional surroundings. I recommend this establishment 100%.
Very nice place and very clean but super expensive. Food is really good as well but again very high priced. The pub is always full so expect a line for drinks and dinner. The fish and chips is really good. Very quiet location but also out in the country.
Lovely pub. Food was really good and the prices are reasonable. Syrup pudding with custard was delicious. Nice clean pub and polite service.
A stone's throw from Chelmsford this rural gem of a pub provides staff with a sense of humour, lovely well made food, good range of drinks, a good terrace in the sun on summer evening and decent loos. We went as friends reminiscing had a lovely meal and enjoyed everything - lovely coffee too. Will b
