A decent Italian place around. The food was really good and the desserts made the experience class apart. Must try Italian food in this place
We had a lovely dinner here whilst on holiday in Liverpool. We were seated by the open kitchen which was great as I love to see whats going on!
I had the pumpkin risotto which was deliciously creamy, and Craig had the sausage pasta dish which he enjoyed. We also shared a garlic pizza bread which was tasty, but perhaps too much as we then had no room for dessert.
I would definitely recommend Il Forno as the food was brilliant and affordable, and the staff were very friendly and helpful too.
Always great quality food and great atmosphere. Top quality dining experience - guaranteed!

Absoloutly fantastic, I enjoyed a superb meal there last night, pizza was cooked to perfection and my pasta sauce was just delicious my friend who had the veal said the meat literally fell off the bone, highly reccomend it. 5stars.
If you like good quality food and have a bit of cash going spare this is a great place to eat. Some of the nicest steak ive ever tasted
It was a loverly place staff were really friendly and food was excellent really nice was a bit pricy but is worth every penny :)
For those working in education, summer is always a time of change and goodbyes and this year was no exception. After a meal at Esteban earlier in the week I found myself out again with colleagues to say goodbye to God (my work colleague not the omnipresent deity, though they have been mistaken in the past). So, on an exceptionally warm July evening, I entered Il Forno on Duke Street along with God and ten other disciples. Service from the off was very good and, in the comfort of the waiting area, we were offered antipasti nibbles and a Morretti beer whilst we waited for our full complement to arrive. “So, on an exceptionally warm July evening, I entered Il Forno on Duke Street along with God and ten other disciples” Some short time later we were escorted by our waiter, Salvatore (more of him later), into a large bustling dining room. We were seated along the window on a slightly cramped banquette, though this was our own fault, not the restaurant. I always find it funny how groups arra
We had a delightful evening here. Randomly chosen as we walked past but such great food and service. Some special dishes prepared at the table are a nice touch and fun to watch.
Very delicious foods …
Every single plate is delicious…
Place and vibes are great …
Very nice and friendly staff …
Service is outstanding
Wonderful valentine's menu, and we were well-looked after by the excellent Daniele.
In terms of food, the lobster thermador was delicious, and the perfect size for a starter. The fillet steak was melt-in-the-mouth, and definitely a good choice. Shared desserts were decent too.
The second time we've been here and it was just as amazing as the first. We initially sat down at another restaurant and decided it wasn't for us. We ended up in Il forno and it didn't disappoint! Delicious food, luxury surrounding and fantastic service will have us coming back again soon. My husband is Italian and enjoyed every last bite.
Stunning food, delizioso!
Beautiful restaurant, so stylish. Lovely, warm atmosphere with friendly, attentive staff. Will definitely return and would highly recommend.
Really enjoyed it. Lovely staff and place. Food wasn’t excellent, particularly the pasta. The steak however was very good and IMO the pizza is far better than rudy’s (my daughter’s favourite)
Great atmosphere on a Friday night with really friendly waiters and fast service. Fun to have the carbonara served at the table and the chocolate bomb melted for us for dessert. The ox cheek was absolutely incredible, definitely recommend that dish!
What a gem the food and experience was exceptional a special thank you to Ivon who looked after us and recommending a dish for my Mrs.
They accommodated seven of us at short notice and provided us with everything we needed, I would come here again.
Excellent.
A very nice Italian restaurant in the centre of Liverpool. Great service and atmosphere.
Make a reservation!! This place was delicious and I wish we had more time here. We were lucky to get here around 5:00pm and they allowed us to have a table until 6:30pm. I did feel rushed, but only due to time. I’m hoping it would have been different if we reserved. They have a large wine selection and they have options that are not very pricey. The food is delicious, this is hands down the best calamari I’ve ever had as an appetizer. I ate the Spaghetti alla Carbonara and they prepare it in cheese in front of your table. My husband had the Ravioli di Cinghiale. We ordered a bottle of 103 Sauvignon and two glasses of white wine recommended by our waitress. We also had the cannolis for dessert which was recommended by our waitress as well, but to be honest was a little too sweet for my taste. Everything was delicious! We would highly recommend and return.
They were very busy and had at least 3 reservations for large parties especially bachelorette parties.
