Fabulous old pub with some fantastic exterior window decor which has caught our eye many times.
This was our first visit and we weren't disappointed by the architectural features inside as well as on the outside.
Nice bar area with other rooms off, toilets were upstairs (awesome), spotlessly clean.
Good prices for our regular drinks.
Certainly a good place to call in if you're heading back to Lime Street Station for the journey home.

In general it was quite good, staff was friendly, prices were within expectation, pub is well maintained with a decent amount of beers and cider on tap, I didn't have food this time, but I had it years ago, it was quite good as well.
If there's any improvement I can think off, that would be maybe getting a different drink or two on tap on rotation just to mix it up every few months or so.

A lovely and welcoming pub built in 1905 with traditional features.
The menu is lovely with reasonable prices and suitable for all ages.
We had our money refunded for our meal due to waiting for so long but to be honest, we didn't mind.
When the food came out, it was hot and fresh.

Absolutely beautiful interior.
Great selection of ales and lagers served by extremely friendly and personable staff (lady behind the bar with curly black hair tied back).
Looking forward to my next visit already.

This is a very popular busy city pub with tons of character and amazing plasterwork designs on the ceiling's, it's close proximity to lime Street railway station makes it a must first port of call before we head into the city 😀 great choice of drinks and good staff make this pub an absolute winner 🏆

Art Nouveau style building built in 1905 . Conveniently located a stones throw away from Lime train station.
This is one pub I beg my husband to bring me to as I had passed here one afternoon and got very attracted to the decorative ceiling and wanted to go in. One has to appreciate the interior of this place from the carved walls , floor tills and the heavily corniced ceilings plus it’s got its own stain glass dome as u go up to the dining room and ladies room. My eyes couldn’t stop wandering trying to take in these beautiful artwork spread all over the place .

We spent Friday afternoon in the crown and enjoyed it very much. It is a busy vibrant pub with lots of comings and goings as people arrive from the railway stations. The pub is a traditional Liverpool pub it looks spectacular inside and the staff run it very well. We had the chicken burger and the fishfinger wrap both were delicious. The staff were very efficient behind the bar.

Always go in this pub whenever West Ham play Liverpool or Everton as an away fan and going off my own experience we have always been accepted and treated well great service and great banter as away fans we are not always treated so well. 👍🏻

Fantastic pub, right next door to Lime Street Station. Good selection of craft beers, and a very wide selection of food, with a few veggie and vegan options.
The building is beautiful, inside and out. The staff friendly, the good great for the money.
Hard to fault!

Excellent service from friendly bar staff and probably the best pint of Stella in Liverpool....went to the W/spoons nearby and it was shite so came back to The Crown...the pub has made our visit to Liverpool an enjoyable one.

Jewel in the crown , loved looking at the crown as a little girl early fiftys , with my daddy on our way to my nins at Gerard gardens ! Like this pub very much ,, the ceiling and fittings ! Well they are just beautiful !! Glad no body's allowed to smoke in pubs now !!!! Imagine the damage it must've caused to this lovely historic pub ! Tea rooms ! I always imagine the Victorian women swanning up the spiral staircase for afternoon tea , with a window view over the motherland !! Great draught Guiness by the way !!! Lol

Having met up for our first date here it was only right that we had our wedding here too. So three years to the day of our first date we got married and went to The Crown for our wedding breakfast.
To say the food was nice would be an injustice to the staff and a massive understatement. It was FANTASTIC. And those sundaes...... WOW!
The staff are all amazing and the manager Neil is a top quality bloke. Very friendly and always happy to help.
They went above and beyond what anyone and anywhere else would have and 5*s just isn't enough.
Can't thank them enough and can't recommend them enough.
Such a friendly atmosphere when just popping in for a pint too.
Love them all and can't wait to go back again.
Thank you so much

Glass of wine my friend had was in a cracked glass. When taken back to bar .he just poured wine into another glass. .as for the food. .we were a party of 4 so had a quick 4 items for a set fee .
Well I think the microwave chef needs to be retrained. The mushroom bites were laughable, a slither of sliced mushroom in overdone coating. And as for the nacho and cheese topping .microwaved into a solid lump.

Fab pub, friendly staff, food was lovely, always go here when I’m in town 😘👌😘👌😘👌
