Wow!!! What can I say about this little jewel of a place?!
The decor is an amazing mix of industrial meets luxury, combining rustic wood, sumptuous velvet and crystal chandeliers. The atmosphere in Hampsons is lovely and friendly, including a chilled mood music which adds that little extra to the experience.
I had a few dishes off the tapas menu, meatballs, king prawns and chicken and chorizo all were fabulous and 2 were served with local bread (which is unusual for tapas), but greatly received. The presentation was great and tasted delicious.
I had the most amazing experience at Hampsons and I cant wait to return for more!!!
For many different reasons, Red and I have been keen for a successful bar and restaurant to be established on Coronation Road, not least because it is on our doorstep. First we had Albion, and following a ridiculous example of belligerence from Terence Conran, presumably worried people might mistake his London restaurant with Coronation Road, it became Albina and then ’55. One thing all of these had in common, was excellent food. In late Spring 2017, the latest reincarnation was Hampsons, and we all watched and waited with baited breath. In fact Red and I visited and ate in the early days, and it honestly wasn’t great, sadly. However, a year later and, with owner John and his partner more experienced and wiser in the business, we tried again.
Wow wow WOW!! What an amazing treat for us, having enjoyed the best bottomless brunch with a group of friends, celebrating 50ths.
So, first of all, the selection available is amazing. This is for both the food and drinks. Can personally say, I sampled most of available drinks, and all cocktails freshly made and delish! They even have 2 incredible mocktails.
Secondly, the staff worked hard and catered for us all so efficiently and well, never having to wait long for our drinks to be refilled.
The food arrived and certainly no complaints from any of us 9. Absolutely gorgeous, plentiful and all piping hot.
Final verdict - an absolute hit!! All agreed it was an amazing experience and certainly worth every penny. Bobby dazzler!

Came across this place by accident yesterday. Glad we did.
Had a couple of the tapas dishes which were all delicious. Staff were very attentive, atmosphere was chilled. Will certainly be back.

Wow. Great service, great food and great prices. We were recommended to try here and it has a really nice decor, the tapas are a great price for the amount of food you receive.
Love the ambiance of this place, lots if fairy lights, great atmosphere and efficient staff.
Been many times, always fab food and atmosphere, had Gammon Sunday Roast, great value. Recommended.

One of the tastiest roast dinners I've ever had. Don't let the picture make it look like the portions are small, it's the angle and the fact the yorkshire pudding is so big that it hides the rest of the amazing food. Staff are really friendly and welcoming, atmosphere is cosy. Will be recommending this place to family and friends and definitely coming back to try more.
Friendly, helpful staff. Food all cooked fresh using the finest ingredients. The breakfast was served on warm plates and the best I have ever tasted. I'm no spring chicken either. Brilliant value, going again soon. I travel from Southport its that good.
This place has a fantastic atmosphere, the way it is lit and the wonderful scenery. I always come here with my work friends and we always have a blast. The food is great and the drinks a amazing. I love this place 10/10
