I have stayed in many premier inns and eaten at many Beefeater restaurants.. I have to say this is the nicest one I’ve ever been to.. apart from the food being fresh, hot and absolutely delicious (believe me I’ve eaten a few plastic steaks in my time), the staff couldn’t be more helpful and they certainly make you feel welcome. Everything seems to run like clockwork, everyone has a role and you couldn’t ask for friendlier people.. especially Jean with the lovely pink hair! What a lovely person.. I am still sitting here enjoying a glass of lovely red wine and I might even have another one as it’s such a lovely atmosphere!
My husband and I were on a weekend break and we were staying at a local inn. It was Mother's day and we had set off on our day out forgetting to book a table for our evening meal. Half way back to the inn at 7 pm we remembered that we had no where to go to for our dinner. As we travelled along the road I saw the Beefeater Stag and Rainbow and pulled into the carpark on the off chance that we could get a bite to eat at the establishment. The welcome we had was exceptional, nothing was too much trouble. The assistant manager found us a table even though the restaurant was already fully booked. The waitress Sharon attended our requirements with utmost friendliness but professionalism and the food was delicious and hot which went down a treat on the cold night. We would definitely recommend a trip to this Beefeater and will call again when we come back to visit Liverpool. Well done Stag and Rainbow, 10 's.
Great place Great food fast service can not fault place food or staff 100% all round
Really good food, nice atmosphere, pleasant professional staff. Would definitely recommend this place.
Love this place, never had a bad meal.Staff always friendly and work very hard, keep the good food coming your excellent. Will be back again :-)
Didn’t book a table. It was a spare of the moment visit .arrived to find it was really busy we were told there was no tables till 8.30 pm... another member of staff approached us and went above and beyond to seat us and serve us food there and then ..can’t fault anything about this place . Clean ..nice food ..the prices are very reasonable and the staff are very very friendly and accommodating ..10 outta 10 for this place.
Can’t find any fault with this place. The staff go all-out to be helpful, food is good. Well done!
Went for catch up with a friend, We had a Main Course and Dessert with Coffee.
The food was lovely and excellent value for money, the service was also excellent.
Would highly recommend your Restaurant to my friends. x
Would highly recommend Amy's special desert vanilla cheesecake with sliced banana with toffee sauce
Me and my family have had a few meals here and everything always been fantastic the staff are very friendly and helpful will definitely be back again
Able to book online very easily. Table ready when we arrived. We shared a starter, chicken wings, and both had steak, cooked exactly as requested. Staff were friendly and efficient. A great birthday meal!
Lovely place
The staff very friendly and food was gorgeous Definitely go back xx
Thanks to the Ambrose family for inviting us xxx
Yummy-ness at it's most. Friendly staff and the food is amazballs, deffo well worth a visit.
The two of us had booked here for the Friday late afternoon that we were booking into the Premier Inn next door.
We weren't made aware of an offer for patrons of the hotel but this wasn't a fault of the restaurant. Luckily we arrived whilst the daytime menu was still open.
Staff member greeted us at the door and we were promptly seated, informed about the different menus, asked for allergies and if we would like to order drinks whilst we viewed the menu. Tables and cutlery were clean.
Drinks arrived within 5 minutes and we were given as much time as we needed to make our decisions. Food ordered and any changes noted with a smile.
Restaurant and bar area started filling up quite fast after 5pm but this didn't delay Food. We received what we ordered and everything seemed fresh, hot and delicious.
Staff checked that everything was OK with meals and asked if we would like more drinks etc.
When we had finished up we were brought the bill and paid up.
We booked two mornings of breakfasts through the hotel and attended each morning at 7am.
Doors were open at 7am on the dot, greeted again by staff member who confirmed our room for payment and asked if we had any allergies or if we had been for breakfast. We're were shown the coffee station, continental breakfast buffet and where hot food is served. Previously I have been to another beefeater for breakfast where you had to order and breakfast was made fresh. We actually preferred serving ourselves as we were tight on time in our schedule so we weren't sat around waiting for our food to be ready.
Very friendly chef that said hello and greeted us with a smile each morning. Nice thick bacon, tasty sausages, two styles of egg, beans, mushrooms and hash browns meant there was plenty of hot options to choose from.
Fresh bread out every day and a perfectly set toasting machine. Nice range of yoghurts, pastries, fruit and cereals available. Huge bonus for me was having decanted with big ice packs in for the water and juices which made drinks nice and cold. Cant comment on hot drinks as we don't drink them.
Validate your reg to qualify for free parking at the venue.
All in all, we were super impressed with this branch of beefeater considering some of the others are a bit hit and miss, the Stag and Rainbow were consistent in their good service all weekend. We will definitely return the next time we are in the area.
I took my son for a meal. It was weekday and late afternoon so it was not very busy. The weekday daytime offer is good value. My son had steak and dessert and I had open chicken and bacon sandwich. I have to say that the service was really great and staff was very nice and attentive. The food was served quick and it was lovely. It wasn't our first visit and every time we return, we are happy and have a nice time.
Stayed at the hotel nextdoor for a week and had a meal deal, was able to book a table each day.
Staff are friendly and attentive.
Breakfast buffet is easy to get started for the day, fully stocked and has a large variety.
Food was warm and served quick after ordering, sometimes difficult to get the bill but understandable during busy times.
Has a choice of different options if you're not big on chips, and the menu had a lot to choose from.
Calamari was oily/stodgy but everything else I had was well cooked and enjoyable.
Had a nice meal here yesterday. Excellent service by server Lyndon. Steak cooked just as I like it, really enjoyed. Prices reasonable also. Would’ve preferred to be seated further away from large family group ( to give them space more than anything) as the place wasn’t full at this point. Also the music was a little loud. But will definitely be back
I was booked into the Liverpool (West Derby) Premier Inn which was conveniently attached to this Beefeater, as they all are for two nights for business.
I was provided with the meal deal for each evening which is decent knowing I dont have to wonder from thr hotel to get food.
On the first evening I had the wings to start with the 74 (not) hot sauce which taseted good but not hot, this was followed up by the 74 burger stack I think it was called and I couldnt not finish this.
The second evening I opted to begin with the chicken goujons with the 74 hot sauce, nice but not hot. Following on I had the lasagne with salad and lastly the banoffee waffle sundae.
A few things to note here, the meal deals only include a few mains, some require a surcharge which I didnt know about until I recieved a bill on the first evening and the salad on the second night had a dressing on which was not to my liking.
The breakfast was again as you would expect from a buffet style pig out session, had all the required ingredients and tasted nice.
The staff were all pleasant and helpful and did amend the bill on the second evening as a good will gesture for the ambiguity over the first nights meal, my favourite part was the brief cool air walking to and from the restaurant.
Overall this restaurant is great for convenience and I would of course eat here again if I stayed at the hotel. I think if I lived in Liverpool then id probably dine at restaurants more to my tastes but this served its purpose for me perfectly and as said above, if staying at the Prem Inn, id eat here.
Visited for breakfast on a Sunday. It was very busy and I'm glad we pre-booked a table.
There was lots of choice of food and drinks. And all were good quality.
I would recommend the breakfast menu.
I went to the stag and rainbow on Saturday December 30th for a family lunch. It was my first visit as my brother had booked it. We had a fantastic meal I had the mixed grill and my fiance had the half roast chicken. It was lovely. There was 11 of us all together and we all enjoyed our meals. Couldn't fault the staff we were well looked after from the moment we arrived. Even helping us register our cars. The food and service was fantastic.
Can always rely on here for a decent steak cooked to taste. Staff are lovely and welcoming, decent deals in the daytime, make sure you look for them vs main menu and halve the cost.
This is one of my regular go to restaurants as they know how to cook good food. One of the only cheaper places to get a good steak in Liverpool cooked just right. There lasagna is also really tasty.
The atmosphere is a mix as there is a bar and restaurant but it's mostly relaxed and not to noises.
The service is usually great the older staff certainly keep a professional standard of service, especially Sharon and a few other veterans of the restaurant. New staff could take a leaf out of there book on table manners and what's polite etc.
Majoritivly I've had very good experiences here there has been the odd blip when new staff have been less attentive or forgot things. I can say I've never had to send food back however which I have done at many pups and restaurants.
Lovely staff quick service, freshly cooked tasty food..clean restaurant, great value, and great atmosphere.
Good food , I had lasagne which came with fresh salad and not a wilting lettuce leaf or dodgy looking tomato in sight. The lasagne was freshly baked and was delicious.
Service was good . Husband had steak pie and fries that were equally tasty and clean plates were sent back. Would definitely recommend and I'm sure we will be back soon.
Parking free ,make sure you pop your reg in as you go in.
Easy accessibility for wheel chairs. Would recommend booking as can get busy.
The food was perfectly cooked and timely served just at the right temperature. Staff are always very welcoming, smiley faces, friendly and curteous approach to customer. This is the 3rd time I eat in this place and I am overall pleased and happy to return.
