Went for bite to eat with my daughter really liked the look of the place had big comfy chairs, staff were very friendly and helpful we ordered a wrap each one BBQ pulled pork with sweet potatoe fries and a chicken wrap with normal fries they were both lovely along with a beer and glass of wine, service was great girls were very attentive would highly recommend
Nice big railway themed pub, good pub grub, had a small issue but our very friendly server, Sarah, dealt with it quickly and everyone was happy. We would recommend and will definitely come back.

Excellent bar.
Couldn’t fault the bar staff, they were brilliant! Everywhere was spotless. Disabled facilities available, perfect for me. Wide range of drinks (craft beers-fab)! Only down side was the prices were a bit high, however, that was the only down side so I would highly recommend!

Sat down straight away and our food came within 10 minutes which tasted lovely. The lunchtime offer was really good value, and Leigh-Ann our server was very pleasant and helpful. Would definitely come again.

Came here for a couple of drinks and really enjoyed it.
The staff were really friendly.
They serve delirium red Belgium beer, which is delicious and packs a punch! A pint of that and you'll be feeling nice and happy!
They have a nice selection of beers, wines and spirits, and the pricing is fair given the central location.
It's a really nice bar, decorated well, and feels cosy, especially in the train style booths in the back.
Definitely recommend coming here if you're in the area and looking for a place for a couple of nice drinks!
Great selection of drinks and knowledgeable bar staff who are happy to suggest options and tell you about the beer. Lovely back room with video game character decorations, board games, pool and shuffleboard. Well decorated and tons of seating for groups of all sizes, always happy to pop in here for a pint since it's so central in Liverpool too, 2min walk from Liverpool Central station.
We got here at 6:30 on a Tuesday with 3 children. We were worried we wouldn’t get served this late, it was no problem to them at all.
The kids portions were large. The bar person said she could live off them alone 😃
I would highly recommend this place. The food selection was great, the beer selection even better.

Honestly hard to fault. Pool tables (with contactless option) in a nice room with Mario art and such.
I had a Vegan kebab and chicken alternative which were both pretty good. My girlfriend had a burger with "facon" (which they could've been slightly more generous with) and it was a little less impressive but a really good experience overall.
Definitely my go-to in the area.
Oh, and there was quite the beer selection!

Excellent food, but a limited menu for some. Burger in a brioche bun, so no good for those of us who don't like sweet bread. Also, no fish and chips on offer, but the rest of the menu was very good. Plus, there was a super tasty stout on cask from Small World brewery.
I have visited the Head of Steam multiple times in the last year. The staff are always extremely friendly and helpful. They have a fantastic variety of beers and ciders, there's always something new to try and something for everyone!
The atmosphere, regardless if empty or bustling, is always great and very appealing.
On my most recent visit, I decided to indulge in their lunch menu. I went for the Single Steam burger, which came with nachos included. The burger was cooked perfectly and very flavorful. The nachos were okay, though the cheese sauce was quite cold. Regardless, very good food and great value.
I would definitely recommend this place to grab a drink or even have a meal!
We visited for the first time in a few months. I had a lovely pint of titanic plum porter. Which was served by John, who was very knowledgeable and friendly.
I also had the pleasure of meeting Jade, who was very friendly.
We will definitely be coming back very soon. This is not only the great pint but the great service we received from Jade and John.

The bar staff are friendly. We watched the football here and it was a good atmosphere. There were girls out for lunch, lads watching the game and everyone in between, very inclusive and not just solely focused on the sports. Dog friendly.
I was meeting up with a friend on the weekend and decided to try this bar. Upon entering and being greeted at the bar by a staff member called Gina we asked about a few of the different drinks on selection.
Though the bar was busy Gina never made us feel rushed and gave us her entire attention while telling us about the different beverages.
One drink turned into a few as the service and collection of different drinks interested my friend and I. Each time we returned to the bar Gina welcomed us and continued to show exceptional service.
Will definitely be returning at some stage in the future.
Resently retired, I organised a get together at the H O S 23rd March 2024.
Many came along and each commented on how good the staff are and such a great atmosphere in the place. Very much recommend a visit. Danielle's management of the place shines through. Also a really nice person to talk too.
I'll pop in for a meal in the future. I'm sure that will also be top quality.
Nice place for a quite meal had one bad meal. Went back for a second a few weeks later to give them a second chance that one was reasonable nice. The beers and ales in there are fantastic!!! If you like your wide choice in beers. Bit on the expensive side but you get what you pay for.
Haven't tried the food, but the Bar is a great place to drink with friends 👍
The Customers are a mixed crowd of all ages and it has a really pleasant and relaxed atmosphere 😎
They have a great selection of Beers both bottled and on Draught, Service is really good, and there are lots of Tables and Seats.
Prices are really reasonable for Liverpool Town centre 👍🙂

The place is nice when I go midday and the food is amazing.
The 3x patty bourban maple burger was just simply delicious, with loads of flavour, from bourban, cheese, maple, bacon and the meat. Will certainly be going back again.
I also tried the cheesesteak burger, a patty with a 4oz steak on top of it was also tasty and tender.

This venue has easily became a my local and have been many times since the first time, with good food, great drinks and excellent service and good taste of music.
Harrison who works there has been great remembering what my usual is and always makes an effort to have a conversation even with other customers, great service every time.
First visit and I'm sure we will be visiting again. Excellent choice of beers and enjoyable food; orders for meals & drinks taken at tables by polite, helpful & friendly staff. A pleasant clean environment .
Note: The Ladies toilets are up a flight of stairs, which may be an issue for some visitors.
