Even though I’m born and bred in the West Midlands I’ve always felt like this place is a second Home, I’m a huge Beatles and LFC fan and get such a strange feeling I get when I’m there, but a positive one, I love this place, we travel up as often as we can, sometimes stay 2 nights and just drive around the city and take it in. I don’t like to act like a tourist and I like to look at and go places that tourists don’t go to, inner Liverpool and outer Liverpool, the people are great, very warm and friendly, great atmosphere and a special buzz, it’s history and what it’s given to the world. Liverpool will always have a place in my heart!
Was here for 3 days, 2 nights. Done the Mersey cruise, visited the shopping centres and sampled the many pubs including the world famous Cavern club. Great place would definitely come back
Location and Quality. The location is very historic and docks beautifully restored. It was a bit cold for us to go outside but the inside was spacious. Lighting and decor were very pleasing and modern. I can't remember the food too well as I was filling up and the cheap massive glasses of Hoegaarden. Our food was top quality and our drinks were worthy of the restaurants name. We had a great time for a good price.
Went here once or twice while on a mini Liverpool break.
Drinks and service was good, disappointed with food though. Had a chicken sharer but the strips were overcooked.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Worth a visit due to location, right on the Albert docks
Such a nice surprise!
This is probably the nicest terrace around but I wasn’t sure, at first, due to some bad comments on the food here.
Those were totally unjustified as my fish and chips was simply perfect.
Don’t hesitate and give it a try, they deserve better ratings.
They made every effort to get me my pub maquette scan which they already had, but they had no picture due to life and it getting used. I just happened to be the one who wanted the scan. Very nice staff. It's a green king so what to expect is like spoon's. Made every effort to to get a scan, but you can't force him it
Beautiful place excellent food service abit slow but food made up for it
Visited for evening meal as part of my Sister In Laws Hen Night.
Very nice pub - good range of drinks. Was a little disappointed that the peach cider wasn't available but still enjoyed the strawberry cider as an alternative.
Was able to sample an ale which tasted good.
Food was lovely and the staff were friendly.
Good atmosphere.
Great food, service and atmosphere.
Servers were attentive and friendly.
All our food was served hot and tasty. Good variety on draught and food menu was also quite varied. Atmosphere was casual, relaxed whether dining as a family or dining for one. Lovely views too, would definitely recommend
Really nice pub for a bite to eat, it was very busy when we arrived and very very loud which is why we are only giving 5 stars, for a midday lunch we expected it to be a little less rowdy but understand it is a pub so some noise is to be expected. Otherwise service was great and fast, we had some issues with tables as many were reserved for 3/4 hours after we arrived but they were reluctant to let us use them despite the long time before reservation. Would recommend :)
One of my favourite pubs in the city and probably the best beer garden location in Liverpool ✌️
10 different cask ales available as well as 7 different beers on keg ( + bottles & cans in the fridge) so there is plenty to choose from 😉
