Great venue for beer. Untappd verified. Lots of choice of beers to suit anyone. Also (obviously from the name) they do pies for about £6.

Food, drink and service all outstanding. Great range of beers, ales and Pies! Wish it was closer to home, would frequent more often!

Great beer. <- full stop. Best in the area. I love ales and there are always 3 on and usually in excellent condition, but I have friends who love the place for the continental beers and Belgian beers, which are on tap too and in bottles. The staff are spot on and the simple choice of pies is a great idea. Perfect place to wind away a couple of hours with a glass in front of you.

Great pies and world beers, a new favourite of mine!
Ben Stoker
Lovely staff, good beers from all over including an excellent selection on draft as well as bottled and a fair selection of wines and spirits including a wide range of gins and tonics.
Pies are excellent with a standard choice and usually additional guest pies, often themed to the time of year. Mash is a superb accompaniment and recommended.
Can be busy on weekends so head down earlier to guarantee a table otherwise may need to wait at the bar briefly.

Great food and even better beer selection. Spent an afternoon here on holiday from America. Had a great experience enjoying pie and mash for the first time. Bar staff and patrons were extremely friendly. Truly a memorable experience. Thank you!

Excellent selection of interesting local and foreign beers. The best place to go for a pie. And all the staff are very friendly. It's dog friendly too, which is great if you have one or just like to admire other people's.

Simple food but great beers. Only serve pies, but oh my, they are good pies. Sides consist of mash, peas and gravy. What more do you need if life. The beer selection speaks for itself. Love coming here.

This place gets 5 starts now it has expanded. My only gripe before was that it was too small and you'd end up waiting hours for a seat.
This place has a great beer selection and does some decent pies too. Not the cheapest, but if you like your beer it's well worth it.

Lovely little pub serving pies and other pub food but of a high quality so you forget youre in a pub. Priced nicely too if you get a pie and a pint, definitely good value for money however some pints alone are a bit pricey but also worth it as they are good guest ales, and locally brewed beers. Nice cosy feel to it, fairly big on the inside as well with 2 rooms with plenty of seats to sit in however never seen it too busy. Freindly staff and a nice atmosphere.

Excellent bar, one of the largest ranges of beers available in the city and regular guest beers on draught. Always a friendly atmosphere every time I've been there, and the recent extension to next door gives plenty more seating room.
Not the cheapest place around but definitely one of a kind and worth it in my opinion

Fantastic place, came late afternoon and it was really quiet. The staff were really friendly, helpful and extremely patient as I found it difficult to choose from the great pies on offer.
Food was great shame I couldn't sample the great range of beer as I was driving.
At least it gives me an excuse to come back again.

Lovely place to chill and have a few interesting beers! The Pieminster pies are amazing too and ideal for filling you up so you don't get too merry! We will be back!

Nice friendly atmosphere & good service, even though the barman was on his own, poor guy!
Didn't have a pie, but friends recommend them...but did enjoy the complimentary peanuts - a nice touch!
Dog friendly too!😁

My favourite bar in Liverpool. It's intimate, it's frequented by decent folks and it serves sublimely good beer from all over the world. The pie menu is another reason to drop in. Don't hesitate.

Out in the suburbs by mossley hill station. Conversion of 2 shops with the main bar being a great room with atmosphere and feeling whilst the other seems a bit in need of some help to make it as welcoming. Good beer range on draught and bottle/can, staff great, pies look very good too. Best place for a good distance!

Great craft beer and pie and mash. What's not to love. Lovely little bar in a great area of Liverpool. Big beer selection, lots of great pies, friendly staff.
Ifan James
Intimate small bar with no TVs or fruit machines, piped music at less than conversational level (Mostly jazz and light r&b).
Excellent and extensive range of local, British, continental and American bottled beers plus draught ales and lagers, all in good condition.
Good range of wines, and, especially: soft drinks
Pies served hot with (Optional) mash, minted mushy peas & gravy.
Overall a great venue to catch up and chat with friends or just chill out with a newspaper or wi-fi.
Great public transport hub as well.
Love it.

Great local bar with a more mature clientele, students probably put off by prices, they usually have 2 or 3 cask beers, a cask cider 8 other draught beers and a changing supply of craft beers. It's very busy Friday and Saturday nights less so at other times. Food is limited to Minster Pies, served by themselves or with mash, peas or gravey.
Christopher Hughes
Great bar, great selection of beers

Pi liverpool. On recommendation from our daughter who has visited the Chorlton Pi ,we went along to the Rose Lane establishment "on spec" to eat as we could not pre-book.It was full and we waited for a table but there is no order to being allocated a table. We were standing patiently at the bar when 2 girls jumped ahead of us onto a vacant table. I queried this with the young lady behind the bar and her respose was "you have to be quicker".My wife prevented me from querying this and we left after finishing our drinks.

Excellent. Went for the first time last week with friends after good recomendations, it was very busy, which was a good sign, and i was impressed with the good choice of beer on offer. it was very busy at the bar, but we were served promptly by staff who had good knowledge of what they were serving, , which is also a good sign, alot of people were eating so we had to wait a while to get a table. the food took a little while after ordering, but when it came was very tasty and good value. i will be going back, highly rate this place!

A let down!. I was looking forward to having an evening here with some old friends I hadn't seen for ages, I live in the next Rd and wanted to support a local business too. However, when I called the night before to enquire about booking a table I was told there wasnt any need, so great we were all looking forward to our 'Posh Pie' experience! On the night the place was so packed we could barely stand let alone sit down, fair enough it was Friday, but after 45 minutes of wating to get a table and getting jostled about we left disappointed! The food service was incredibly slow and hence there was no turnover of tables. I had been told this was very quick. Now it is obviously a hugely popular place, people were really enjoying themselves, the range of beer was vast and its great to have a lively bar around the corner. My point is, if thats what they do well, they should stick to that and forget the pies.......might have to change the name though!!
