Nice old pub. The wooden bar (pre ww1) is impressive as is the tiling throughout the pub. . Serves a wide range of real ales and ciders. Has a couple of snugs🍻
Listed grand ll. Named after a steam locomotive. Mosaic floor. Tiled walls. Etched + stained glass. Good selection of real ales.
The Lion Tavern is probably my favourite pub in the city. Its got everything you could ask for in a local. Great selections of beers and ales changed regularly. This is a good old fashioned real-ale pub. A great place to meet up with friends. Service and atmosphere are good, only marked them down on food as they only have a very limited range....

Wonderfully well preserved pub serving real ales. Apparently the 2022 regional winner in the best pubs awards by CAMRA. Would come back every day if I could.
This is absolutely superb. The original features and decor are to be marvelled at!! Add to that the superb range of real ales it a must visit for all!!
