Overall the food was excellent and service second to none it was a fab day out for me and parents and partner
Found the bar I bit expensive though £9 for a glass of wine and a pint???
It was the best carvery ive ever been to, food was hot & fresh not to mention a nice choice of 4 meats as opposed to3 at most other carvery places.It had great atmosphere staff friendly,would definiatly recomnend to friends & family.
Had a very nice 2 course carvery on a Saturday afternoon. Nikki our server was warm and friendly and provided great service. The food was amazing, looked and tasted great. May need to make a Saturday afternoon carvery a habit going into the colder weather!
We came if for a vegetarian carvery. It was delicious. The refurb looks great and our server, Natalie, was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble - give that girl a raise!
We had a wonderful time here at Toby Carvery and since its had a refurbish, its a lovely place to go to and Carol who wad servering us was amazing, thank you to all the staff here. You have made us feel so welcome, thank you and we love your new refurbishment
Visited with two children aged 2 and 4. We were taken to our table and offered high chairs for the boys. Nice surprise some places don't even bother asking. We all had a lovely breakfast which was hot and tasty. The boys enjoyed their pancakes. There was plenty of choice and the coffee was much needed. The staff were all visible and doing their job. There was a lovely relaxed atmosphere and we will be going again to try both lunch and donner really soon. A++++
Went to visit with my Daughter, the gentleman behind the bar was brilliant called Dan, he was very welcoming and made my day with his kind words! Then when we went the deck the food was unreal. I used to go Aigburth Toby years ago but its so much better now with Emma there. The lovely kind Chef Mathew made us laugh and had a charm about him
All in all 10/10 definately making this my new regular Sunday tradition
Fantastic as always. Marvellous food and the staff team are very friendly. Vicki served us - she was very helpful and made us feel at home.
Lunch with my mother and son all having carvery. Turkey a little dry, we prefer our cabbage a little softer and son said the pigs in blankets were OK. Two desserts ordered both very lite and soft haven't tasted good desserts for a long time ago. Our server was helpful and polite and we were discussing broken phones whilst paying she told us about her mishap with her new and old phone. I hope server will still be there next time we visit.
Great food but some teething problems after refurb.
Sunday night carvery was absolute carnage. Massive queue but worth it in the end.
There's obviously a couple teething problems after the big refurb, ran out of mash (my better half was livid), half tray of burnt spuds, no ice for any drinks, air con in limited areas, queued for 40 mins before getting my hands on some scran.
Mac n Cheese was a boss bonus to the meal combined with gravy... Wow.
We're keen to come back through the week and see if it's a bit of a smoother experience.
The food was fantastic everything piping hot and delicious
The staff are all amazing, nothing is too much trouble but there was one member who stood out. She went above and beyond her band is Nikki, I would definitely recommend anyone to come here and hope that Nikki us on that shift as she looks after you like nobody else.

Not our usual carvery as we live in L23 but would return due to the lovely atmosphere, the organisation and the friendly staff
The staff member carving the meat said he was only on his 2nd day yet had a very professional, personable and fun manner, as if he had been there for years.
George our server was fantastic and really catered to us as a whole family, making a fuss of my 1 year old which was lovely especially since it was busy.
The general atmosphere and level of service was beyond expectation!
