City Kebab

Meandering through the cobblestone streets of Liverpool, I perchance came across this haven of exotic ambrosia. As I entered the premises, my eyes wandered off to a chained bear in the corner. As we locked eyes, I felt the sadness in her eyes, acting only as a disguise. I just asked for some fries, but got nothing nice. The tray was filled with grease and the chairs smelled of yeast. As we acquired the feast, I had the hunger within me like a beast. However, when the cashier failed to smile, I knew it would be a while. It was when I saw the person next to me, I perceived the chicken to be vile. Filled with regrets and terrors to come, I thought maybe this food battle I had not won. After a 20 minute wait, my hunger I could not satiate. I waved the bear goodbye, and told the cashier a lie. He said “my name is Joan”, and I said “well, football’s coming home”.
