Superb Indian food in a great location. We had poppadoms and pickles, Chicken Tikka Nargah and Duck Dhansak both with pilau rice, plus a couple of pints of draught Kingfisher. Delicious.

Food is delicious with plenty of staff waiting on so you’re will looked after and the place has a nice lark lane atmosphere
My husband and the squash gang have been coming here for years - the food is excellent and the staff are friendly and so hard working.
Celebrated my Dad’s 75th at the restaurant and nothing was too much for Baz and his team. Everyone enjoyed the meal and had a good time.
Without doubt, one of the finest Indian restaurants in Liverpool. My standards are high as I’m from Kashmir :)

We have been going to The Taj for a number of years now, taking a large group (30+ people) at least 4 times a year. We visited Saturday for our Christmas meal and as usual we were not disappointed.
The staff looked after us extremely well for such a large group - always on hand for extra drink and food orders.
The food was amazing as always - Chicken Sagwalla Balti Madras hot my personal favourite - and everyone in our group agreed.
I can not fault anything about The Taj and looking forward to getting back there soon for more amazing food and service.

Relaxed atmosphere when we went in , not busy and called in no booking made. We had bindi okra, with chicken sagwallah, rice, and onion bhaji, filled naan shared as generous portions, and we were comfortably full ! I've been to a lot of curry houses in our city and others too, and this was one of the best.

We have gone back to this place a few times now and it does get better and better, all the staff are very welcoming and attentive.
Food is well prepared and very tasty, although some spice level 3 curries are not as spicy as they could be.
Does get very busy on the weekends so would be best to book but they do try and accommodate as fast as possible if you don't have the booking.

Some of the best Indian food that I have had in a long time. Service was attentive and friendly and food was fresh and delicious. All four of us dining had different dishes and everyone thoroughly enjoyed them and also the vegetarian options for one of our party.
As a lover of spicy foods my Lamb Jalfrezi certainly gave me a run for my money but was excellent 🥵
