We come here every time we visit Central NY, as much for nostalgia as the hot dogs. Heid’s is the hot dog stand that many locals, including my wife, grew up on. There are two choices - traditional and a brat style “snappy” that is also referred to as a coney. Either choice is excellent. The dogs are hot off of the grill, served on a melt-in-your-mouth New England style hot dog bun, and topped with a nice selection of self-serve condiments including their a own brown mustard. This is the place where I learned to love hot dogs paired with chocolate milk.

Offer a delightful culinary experience with their unique blend of flavors. The perfectly grilled sausages are complemented by a variety of toppings that add both texture and taste. The cozy atmosphere of the establishment adds to the overall enjoyment of the meal. Whether you're a local or just passing through, Heid's is a must-visit for hot dog enthusiasts.

An absolute staple of the Syracuse/Liverpool area. The atmosphere is fantastic, really makes you about a bygone era. The hot dogs are always great and the service is always prompt and exceptional. If you are ever on the north side of the city it is always a great option.

Truly historical...including the taste.of their simplified menu...returened after 40 years and nothing has changed in terms of taste, quality and atmosphere

Beware of the BEES! THEY'RE VICIOUS AND the garbage is kept too close to the dining area. My son was stung while sitting and eating lunch . It ruined my little boy's day. And all of the diners whose lunch was spent listening to a toddler scream uncontrollably

Ample parking here . We waited in line maybe ten minutes. They had a line that was to the door in the hotdog place. The line moved fairly quickly. We ordered and by the time we reached the register they had my order almost ready. I wanted too go here because I saw pics of the meat sauce. I love a good meat sauce. Not chilli dogs I dislike chilli dogs. So I ordered three Texas hots(meat sauce , onion, mustard,)and a large order of bacon cheese fries. The dogs didn't disappoint. They were slightly spicy and were pretty good. I haven't found anywhere else that offers the traditional meat sauce. I did think that the large order of bacon cheese fries was a bit on the small size. It was around $33 total .For two medium drinks, three Texas hots and a large order of bacon cheese fries. It's worth stopping in and checking them out if your a fan of meat sauce. Apparently this place gets one heck of a line. So glad we didn't have too wait in line forever.

Wow, just wow. The Gianelli Italian Sausage was nothing short of incredible. In business since 1917, there's no wonder why. Great food, great service and a nice atmosphere.

We both had the daily special and my only “complaint” or request is there are no beef frank or kosher options on the menu and the hot dog was good but in general I don’t prefer the taste or texture of pork. The service was terrific though! Really loved how friendly the team was and how quick everything was served. Clean place

Husband’s “ treat” stop while growing up in the local area. Definitely worth the stop. Feasted on Hoffmans frank + fried pickles + a LaBatts brew. Brown mustard - whoa! good! Fried pickles a little too salty for my taste buds. Line moves fast.

First time coming to Heid's, and I brought my appetite. I had a coney, which was good, but it would have been better with a slightly toasted bun, instead of having it fresh out of the package. The Mac and cheese was excellent, and I highly recommend it. The fries felt under seasoned, so I put the Mac and cheese on top of them, which was a great decision. The Philly was good, and the cheese on it was perfect! Next time I will try the onion rings.
