My friend and I ate here twice in two days, it was that good!! For lunch my friend and I both decided on the veggie burger and we were so glad we did! It's a spicy black bean & corn patty with poblano avocado sauce, pickled red onion, grilled pineapple, tomato & greens on toasted brioche. Although the brioche reminded me more of a plain hamburger bun, this dish was super tasty even though I was a bit hesitant about the pineapple. The pineapple in this burger was fabulous! On our return trip we both opted for salads. I had the large garden salad with Greek dressing on the side and a grilled chicken breast and my friend had the small beet salad with chicken which she thought was really good. My salad was enormous! I was delighted with all the greens and everything in that salad was super fresh! My friend asked for some bread and the lovely server brought us the most delicious biscuits I have ever eaten. We asked for more and savoured them slowly. It was the perfect compliment to the salads. The service was 100% and the prices of each dish were incredibly affordable.

What a disorganized mess! We went to the restaurant for takeout, they told us to go to the front desk to place our order. The front desk said to go to the restaurant. We finally placed our order… 3 orders of fish and chips. The front desk guy asked what side we wanted and said we could get fries with it. This confused us as we were ordering fish and chips. We asked him to clarify as we just ordered fish and chips. Why would we order a side of fries? He said yes you’ll get a fish and chips and can order a salad as well. So we said sure we’ll take a garden salad. We asked again to make sure we were getting fish and chips just to be sure. We got home with the food and of course we got fish and salad! Unbelievable. We called and asked for the manager who dismissed us. Told us to come back. We live almost 40 min away. So he told us he wouldn’t do anything. They seemed like they didn’t want us there in the first place. Well message received. We will not be going back there.

Didn't stay here so can't comment on the accommodations. The staff was great, the dining room is lovely, but the food on the night we visited was fair. Unfortunately we were not the only ones to think so the evening we visited as a table next to us sent their soup back as being cold. Wanted to love this place, the building is amazing, but the food let us down. Beer was good though.

Restaurant was good, good food and good service but we were disappointed in the room. The king bed was actually 2 twin beds and the water from the shower did not drain. After one shower the tub was full of water. We advised the front desk but no one looked after it. There was still about 3" of water in the tub the next morning. So no showers before we left. Could not recommend a stay at this Inn but would recommend the restaurant.

Accommodations were okay, definitely not $150/night worthy. The bed was probably older than I am, very squishy and slid around when I rolled in the night. We were told it was a queen bed, but it was small. There was garbage still in the bathroom can, and dust bunnies under the bed and in the corners. Looking under the bed was gross. Our toilet made noises all night, loud enough to hear through the closed door. There was a loud “fan-belt” sound coming off the building, so leaving the windows open was not an option. It is across from a seafood plant, so the smell outside was strong. The room was cramped and difficult to move around in. There was a crack in the sink counter. The shower head was cheap and plugged with lime. The door is separating and cracking enough that we could see sunshine from the bed; it also did not latch properly, swinging open unexpectedly. The restaurant closed at 8:00pm, and was slated to open at 8:00am, but was still dark when we went downstairs at 8:00am. It seemed expensive, $18 for fish and chips when we are in The Maritimes. The food truck parked across the way $14 for a 2 piece meal. On the bright side, we could hear the loons on the water; also, it was only a 15 minute walk to the beautiful Light House Park.

Check in was quick and pleasant. The room was below standard. The furniture looked like it was purchased at a second hand hotel furniture auction house. We spilt some water on the floor....when I cleaned it up the towel was black. This is a clear indication that the floor was not cleaned properly. The shower had a used bar of soap on the shelf....This hotel is not good value for money spent. I realize Air BnB have taken a percentage of guests away from this establishment. Instead of running the business into the ground. Compete upgrade the rooms create an ambience. The location is outstanding...with a little love and imagination this could be a real gem of a property. The current management needs to wake up before all potential guests avoid this property. Also wanted to get an early morning coffee at the coffee shop in the hotel and it was closed. There was a coffee machine in the room but no coffee or suitable condiments and only 1 cup .....how cheap is that? You got me once but never again!
