Regarding the review below - Just returned for the first time in a while - it seems to have changed hands I’m afraid.
It has to be said - it wasn’t great.
We missed Bieging City when it suddenly closed and Allerton Road was bereft of a decent Chinese Takeaway. We had to wait a while but Lau’s was worth waiting for - They opened during lockdown V1 which was a shame - it is a small restaurant but mainly takeaway. Consequently the food is restaurant quality - it’s spot on, a couple of bob more than your usual Chinese takeaway but worth it.
Only problem is everyone else has found out too so at busy times you have to wait a while to pick your food up.

Delicious clean affordable Chinese takeaway. Literally no other Chinese in the area as good. Not too greasy, good portions, quick delivery and tasty as hell. Char sui pork buns super soft with a delicious filling. Meat dumplings were perfect, salt'n'pepper ribs crispy and tender and not oily in the slightest. 2nd time ordering from here and both times didn't disappoint. Singapore chow mein is delicious too. All very good and I think my friend is a convert too.

These people are so friendly, the food is lovely and the delivery was on time. What more could you ask for? Ive just read Julie Green's review below and that woman has got some cheek. Sure, her delivery may have been late due to an inexperienced driver, and the open box (I assume accidentally) contributed to a poor texture, but they went and refunded her half the money! Not many other places would do that! I can confirm their chicken is lovely jubley. May this place live long and prosper

VEGAN FRIENDLY! Delivered in less that 10 minutes - piping hot. Called them and asked if they do vegan options as its not specified on website and lady was so lovely and accommodating as all food is cooked fresh!
We ordered an absolute feast! Tasty and scrumptious.

First time I've used Laus18 since I moved house. I've ate a lot of chinese takeaways over the years and I'm hard to please.
It more than met my expectations, very good if a little expensive, but will use again . Very good front of house too

Ordered banquet for three on a busy Saturday tea time. Text received when it was ready to collect. Soup, appetizers and main meals all delicious. Plentiful. Will order again.

Used L18 twice now and can honestly say that the meals have been beautiful. Highly recommend but it’s very busy and waited 1.25mi a on Saturday evening for our delivery, pick up time was also the same (we were told this before hand)
