I have eaten here many times and have rated this 5/5 in the past.
Today, however, things weren't quite perfect.
Booked a table for 11.45am, so we were in between menus !
Breakfast finishes at 11.45am and lunch starts at 12 noon !
We could order drinks, but not mains until 12 noon, so we had to sit and wait, or order from the breakfast menu even though it was after 11.45am ?
We waited, but another couple ordered from both. The female had food from the breakfast menu and began eating, and the male waited and ate from the lunch menu after she had finished.
It's very bizarre and so inflexible.
The food was great, beef briskett sandwich and lambs liver cooked to perfection.
Unusually the service wasn't as attentive and nobody asked if everything was alright. I also had to try hard to get the waitresses attention to order another drink.
I love this place and will return and would recommend it for either menu.
This place gets a solid 5/5. Food is amazing, atmosphere is lovely and the animals are well cared for. Will definitely be returning here, well done 👍🏼
EDIT: Returned for a breakfast and was blown away by the quality of the food and the coffee. You can tell that everything is locally sourced, everything tastes so fresh. The presentation was spot on too, this place reminds me of a garden centre cafe area but cranked up a few levels. Bravo.
All the staff are really friendly and attentive. James was hilarious, really enjoyed his banter 🤣

Posh but not snobby and great for kids (there were quite a lot of families there and it was nice to see the kids feeling so comfortable at this venue)
Busy place but was a bank holiday when we visited and glad we booked a table friendly helpful staff and healthy portions of food that was delicious will definitely be going back
Visited for breakfast on a recommendation. Was not disappointed - food delicious, very reasonable, lovely atmosphere. I have just read two reviews from the same time we were there mentioning the coffee machine had broke. Yes it had - sometimes things happen out of the owners control but the staff went out of their way to ensure we had alternatives. All the staff were very smart and attentive. We will definitely return - lovely food and very reasonable. I have only marked down ambience slightly as we were loving hearing the birdsong (sat outside) and the chatter of customers but then the piped music came through which is always a bugbear for us - but this is just a personal preference. Unfair to criticise the staff over broken systems - they were all really lovely and helpful and the food was delicious.
Visited for lunch and it was delicious! Super varied menu it took us ages to decide but what we chose was amazing and had very generous portions. There is a small number of animals to see as well which was great- highly recommend!

Today was the first time that I'd gone to Bennett's. As I walked through the front door I was met with an establishment that was buzzing with staff and customers alike. The atmosphere was friendly and the tables packed, I am glad that we had booked our table. However I feel if we didn't, it wouldn't have been a problem as there was a constant flow of people coming and going.
I ordered the full English and it was definitely no disappointment! The eggs were an amazing orange colour and tasted brilliant, which reminded me of eggs from my childhood. The sausages and bacon were lovely too. I'm not usually a fan of mushrooms but I must admit I gave these a go and I ate them all in the end. After our meal we went to the petting zoo section outside Bennett's which our 2 year old loved, especially the goats.
All in all I would definitely recommend Bennett's. It's a great place for a meet up and the staff were great, especially the young lad who joked with us over our son's digger toys.
If you want quality food and service then Bennett's is the place to be!

Clean surroundings, delicious food, friendly, efficient staff, despite being super busy. If you prefer a quieter dining experience then opt to sit outside, weather permitting.
Maybe book a table. Parking available, though the area was pretty full.

Finding the right place for our parent’s 70th wedding anniversary celebration was no easy task but we nailed it!!
Bennett’s Garden Coffee Lounge was the perfect venue for our family event. Andrea, Oliver and James helped plan and coordinate the event
and Phillip and the rest of the staff exceeded our expectations! The venue was warm and welcoming, everyone’s choices from the lunch menu were excellent and the service was superb.
We enjoyed cake and bubbles outside on the patio and Phillip invited the kids in our party to feed the animals.
The staff could not have been more attentive and It was the most relaxing and comfortable event for my parents.
Thank you Bennett’s and all the staff for helping making this celebration a day to remember.
