I love this place! It's clean, beautifully furnished and lovely staff. They are so friendly and helpful. We've had breakfast there in the past and it was gorgeous. Today I've been with 2 friends and we've had afternoon tea. Being a big fan of an Afternoon Tea I've had them in hotels, cafes, garden centres and restaurants and Bennett's beats the lot!!! Finger sandwiches, savoury pastries, jam and cream scone, cake and other sweet treats. All beautifully garnished and presented. We sat outside and today was glorious weather. You can choose speciality teas and coffees (not just filter coffee or a plain tea). Can't recommend highly enough. They even rang the day before to check if we'd any food allergies. Brilliant all round! Thank you x

Great little place. Food was lovely, reasonable prices. Service excellent. Cafe within the shop which has lots of cute gifts. Also a lovely outside area which will be nice in the summertime. Cakes looked great. Will definitely be back.

Lovely place to eat!
Nice setting and ambience.
Good selection of dishes, tasty food and good portions.
Staff are professional and friendly.
There's also a shop selling a range of foodstuffs (inc. eggs, of course), and gifts.
Recommended.

We moved to Heckmondwike in 2021 we have never gone for breakfast locally but it was my birthday so decided to find somewhere local for a proper full English breakfast. Bennett’s did not disappoint we pre booked a table for two for 10 am which was super easy,we were really impressed with parking and were pleasantly surprised to see a petting farm area when we arrived. We were very smoothly shown to our table and the staff were so friendly we were offered plenty of toast and the breakfast was fantastic and the sausages were the best I’ve had in while, all the food that passed us looked gorgeous and we’re tempted to stay and share some pancakes. We went to pay at the till
and couldn’t really bypass what the place is famous for eggs. So we bought a tray of 30 large eggs. Had a quick round of the petting farm all Animals looked after. The donkeys and pony looked a little cramped but generally a lovely addition to going for breaky. I write this review a week after our visit because I’ve just started using the eggs and I was pleasantly surprised to find the yorks beautifully orange and I was overjoyed which means I won’t be buying eggs from the supermarket. Thank you for doing great work! would love to see that telephone box out in its full glory too. Wai and Joe

I liked it, but wish I came after breakfast.
The breakfast menu didnt appeal to me as much as the lunch menu but we arrived 30 minutes earlier so couldn't have anything other than the breakfast. Bacon was reeeally well done.
We had a baby with us and it felt a little hostile or abrupt from the servers, we all felt a little uncomfortable because of one server in particular. Until we obviously cleared away the floor/table etc after the baby finished, and they she was lovely with us. Not sure if she thought we'd make a mess and just leave it. But it had already left a negative impression.

What a wonderful place.
Our first visit today and will not be our last the team in the coffee shop were lovely and created a very friendly atmosphere they could not do enough to make our experience a happy one.
The Victoria sandwich cake was gorgeous and a decent size one of the best we have had.
Well done Bennetts you should be proud of your team looking forward to our next visit.

I have been twice now and loved it. The staff and food are amazing. The staff can't do anymore for you and are great with kids. There's a great choice on the menu and if you want to change something slightly on the menu they're more than willing to help. I always book to avoid disappointment! 100% recommend.

I have eaten here many times and have rated this 5/5 in the past.
Today, however, things weren't quite perfect.
Booked a table for 11.45am, so we were in between menus !
Breakfast finishes at 11.45am and lunch starts at 12 noon !
We could order drinks, but not mains until 12 noon, so we had to sit and wait, or order from the breakfast menu even though it was after 11.45am ?
We waited, but another couple ordered from both. The female had food from the breakfast menu and began eating, and the male waited and ate from the lunch menu after she had finished.
It's very bizarre and so inflexible.
The food was great, beef briskett sandwich and lambs liver cooked to perfection.
Unusually the service wasn't as attentive and nobody asked if everything was alright. I also had to try hard to get the waitresses attention to order another drink.
I love this place and will return and would recommend it for either menu.

This place gets a solid 5/5. Food is amazing, atmosphere is lovely and the animals are well cared for. Will definitely be returning here, well done 👍🏼
EDIT: Returned for a breakfast and was blown away by the quality of the food and the coffee. You can tell that everything is locally sourced, everything tastes so fresh. The presentation was spot on too, this place reminds me of a garden centre cafe area but cranked up a few levels. Bravo.
All the staff are really friendly and attentive. James was hilarious, really enjoyed his banter 🤣
