First time visiting Welcome Stranger. A lovely place. Great welcome. Lots of choice on the menu. Food was very tasty and hot. Service was excellent and the lady who served us was lovely.Nice, engaging personality. A very reasonable price for the meal.
Amazing food! The most generous portions, and a varied menu, perfectly prepared and presented by the cheerful and efficient staff. Great value for money, and highly recommended!
We are a family of four + dog. We took a punt on coming here for a late, large, lunch. Booking on the website was very simple. The venue was lovely, plenty of parking and a very large garden with kids play area. The staff were attentive and the food was yummy... the light lunch 2 course menu deal w
The staff were all amazing, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food was fantastic with lots of choice, all served hot and all homemade. We are definitely planning a return visit, I can't praise this wonderful venue enough.
Superb. Solid pub fayre at sensible prices. If you want posh restaurant, look elsewhere. This is tasty, good, consistent quality with a relaxed atmosphere and a friendly feel.
Lovely roast today, big portions and all home made. Gammon and turkey was lovely. Dog friendly and had an amazing bouncy castle, live music and play area too! Highly recommend! Prices were too bad, 2 x pint cokes, 1 x j20 and 2 adult roasts plus 1x kids Rose was £54.
Stopped for tea here, what a find! Delicious food, mainly traditional, a warm and friendly welcome. Would definitely recommend, good portions too, homemade, served very hot, had to wait a few mins to cool before eating. Would love to try the desserts, but too full. Thanks.
Well what can I say. Found this place, it is beautiful. Clean. Food amazing. Dogs welcome. 3rd time back , met owner jade, what a pleasant lady. Took 2 friends this time, were all Going back again, before end of holiday. Make a visit and you will see what I mean.
Really good quality food at an affordable price. We were made to feel welcome, and the service was excellent. The light bites roast turkey and pudding was just what was needed on a rainy July day!
Really nice pub an easy drive from Bovey or Newton Abbot environs. Lots of parking, quiet location. Food was excellent! It’s a simple pub-style menu (a few offerings had already been sold out, but this can only mean they make fresh fayre, and when it’s gone, it’s gone. No bad thing!) We had steaks:
