Best takeaway indian restaurant in the area. Always get the same dish. Lamb rogan josh with egg fried rice. Rice is a game changer and what they recommended. Nice staff too. They are very welcoming.

Went for an unplanned dinner with family. Was able to book table on the phone. Servers were quick to attend once seated. Ordered lamb kohlapuri, chicken mango and chicken amritsari. All dishes were cooked to delicious flavours. Will definitely go again with family.

Great meal, the service was really good and the food was hot, fresh and very tasty. Great value for money. Next time I'm in Scotland I would definitely make the effort to come here again. This is a restaurant that others should have as their benchmark. Congratulations on a awesome job!

Made a reservation and on entering were told to sit wherever? Customer service very poor and when ordering food got the order wrong! Starters were anaemic in colour both fish pakora and chicken pakora. Korma was bland and diluted (watery) . Ordered korma without chicken (came with processed thick tough dry chicken). Rice was congealed (lumpy). Overall customer service poor and food not so good! Very disappointing!

How have I missed this all these years. Just a ten minute drive from the Centre in Livingston lies this gem of an Indian restaurant. We were greeted by a very friendly smile and offered complimentary poppadoms. When asked if we would like some dip we opted for mango dip. Seriously, this dip was so good I ordered some as a takeaway! Totally packed with flavour it could well have been little more than pureed mangos with a little spice.
My daughter ordered the Goan prawn curry and I selected the Punjabi handi lamb. We both had pulao rice. As I had never tried the Punjabi handi lamb I explained to the waiter that I do like both balti and jalfreizi and asked if he recommended this, he said I would love it. He was so right. It was just about the best curry I have tasted.
As you do, we let each other taste our dishes, my daughters Goan prawn curry was creamy and smooth, no wonder she was raving about it. Quite mildly flavoured in comparison with my Punjabi lamb which had a very satisfying kick without being uncomfortable.
The rice alone was very tasty. Frankly, I think if I was pushed for cash I would be very pleased to have just the rice for dinner any day of the week, but coupled with these beautiful curries it truly enhanced the entire experience.
I think I have found my new local restaurant.

My partner and I love this restaurant and we placed an order for delivery tonight around 8:30pm. I phoned the restaurant around 10pm (after they were listed as closed online) as our order hadn’t arrived yet. The person on the phone told me there was an error with their delivery software and they unfortunately had missed our order, which is no ones fault. The man I spoke with on the phone was very apologetic and said they could make our order and have it delivered in 25 minutes, which I agreed to. The food arrived almost exactly 25 minutes later and was delicious! I really appreciate the staff making the food and coming to deliver it after the closing time instead of just offering a refund. Really great service, really great food! 🥰

Ordered from the take away menu, booked a pickup time. It was ready on time and I must say the portion size is on the large side. This has to be the best Indian food I have ever had, the chicken was cooked to perfection. I fully recommend the Bayleaf.

My favourite place to eat Indian food. We use this place as a take away and in Sunday’s for family dinner. Can’t say anything bad about the food or service. Only thing is it gets really busy now and staff seem to struggle a bit. One small complaint is that they only have one high chair so we bring our own. Great place tho.

The Sunday buffet is top drawer, you are served a great starter platter then help yourself to the fresh piping hot dishes accompanied by hot nan slices and /or pilau rice.There is always at least one Lamb dish and it melts like chocolate in your mouth.
Never been disappointed either sitting in or Take Away.
BTW..The Sunday buffet is only on a Sunday.

We were here for the first time last night and we absolutely loved it. The place was immaculate, the service was excellent and the food was tremendous. I had the garlic chilli chicken and it's by far the best I've had. We will definitely be back and would recommend the place to anyone.

The best quality indian food in the area by a long way. Great staff who are always welcoming and attentive. The menu is extensive with specialities as well as the classics and suitable for all tastes including a large vegetarian choice. There's plenty of seating and in this very clean restaurant. Well worth a visit to this little local gem.

Best Indian in the local area<br/><br/>I personally want to thank the guys for the last 3 meals we ordered from them. We once tried a meal a couple of years ago at a party and then again over Christmas last year and the quality of the dishes is exceptional.<br/><br/>The Bay Leaf platter is amazing and the Biriyanis are equally as good.<br/><br/>One thing I like is when you order from them they remember your name from previously.<br/><br/>Hats off to the guys they are way above the rest for quality and service.

Very friendly staff, we've now been several times and are greeted at the door with a handshake. Drinks with the meal have been remembered and are now "the usual".
