Well, I was just expecting some bland cycle fuel but what an amazing menu of sandwiches š„Ŗ the hot mackerel and horseradish was so good, I had to order another one for laterā¦. Same with the cafe latte! What a welcome surprise having cycled over the hill before breakfast š³
Changing menu with good options. Made to order so can be a wee wait if busy. Has some bike tools and pump if anyone needs to use
One of the few places to have a bite in Lochranza. Friendly staff and the atmosphere was good. Food quality was as well. Would recommend for a lunch bite!
This tiny sandwich bar is absolutely lovely. Prices were reasonable (Ā£7.50 for a large high quality sandwich that filled me up completely) and the calibre of the food is second to none. I went with two friends and all three of us got different sandwiches; we all agreed that they were very delicious. In my opinion my salmon sandwich is perhaps the nicest sandwich Iāve ever had. Highly recommended, and it has excellent beautiful views of the sea.
Best sandwiches in the universe? Quite possibly! We stopped here while kayaking around the island, and the sandwiches were so good that when we were done with our circumnavigation a few days later, we drove the hour back up here from the south of the island to get more. And then got even more to take on our respective journeys onward. Their vegetarian/vegan options are really modern and creative - the roasted celeriac sandwich and the butternut squash with lime pickle were to die for! Coffee was great too.
Superb, inventive sandwiches, made with local ingredients, love and flair. Just what you need after cycling halfway round Arran to catch a ferry. Great coffee, too.
2023 UPDATE - Still the best sandwich shop anywhere. An oasis. Don't drive or cycle past it. Very friendly resident Robin.
This place was recommended to us by a local. There arent a ton of food options on this side of the island so we were grateful for a recommendation. I had the Chorizo and Caramelized Onion sandwich on sourdough, and it was absolutely delicious. The rest of the menu looked great and was surprisingly diverse with lots of vegetarian options. My wife said her Butternut Squash sandwich was the best vegetarian sandwich she has ever had.
It was so nice to be able to find a good lunch at a good price. Definitely give this place a try if you're in the area.
Easily and by more than a country mile the best sandwich I have ever eaten I am strictly gluten free and vegan by choice; imagine how many sandwich shops I can get anything: almost zero, no problem here though. Not only could I find something it was absolutely delicious and the staff are wonderful too. To make matters worse Iām very allergic to caffeinated coffee no problem here they do decaf. Definitely going back for another worldās best sandwich before catching the ferry to the Campbeltown peninsula.
No idiot sandwiches on the menu. Friendly and helpful service, good food. They had a nice selection of vegetarian and vegan options. Really good coffee, if youāre waiting around for a ferry ride I recommend going to this place :))
Was just driving around Arran when we decided to stop for lunch at what looked like a very unassuming and small sandwich shop but they were outstanding! Some of the best sandwiches youāll ever taste! On top of this the staff were lovely and it had a very good atmosphere. Easiest 5 stars review ever.
