Idlewyld Inn Restaurant

This restaurant is the dining room for the inn so it is not very large, but the area in which we were sitting was perfect for us. We went with two other couples for a Christmas brunch, and we all thought our waitress was exceptional. The food was very good; however, even though it was on the menu and we enjoyed it when we visited previously, the buffet was not available. That was our only disappointment.

We booked a private dining room during the Thanksgiving Brunch buffet of 2023. Our party of 12 was placed in the Whiskey room which was elegantly decorated with antiques, had a beautiful mantel, and seasonal decor like ceramic pumpkins. It is very suitable for intimate, special occasions. We were able to enjoy the room for 2.5 hours. There are lots of lovely spots for photos inside the room, and around the inn (stairwell) and outside of the inn (including the courtyard). The buffet itself had an assortment of brunch and Thanksgiving classics, like waffles, eggs Benedict, salmon, turkey with all the fixings, and more. It was a decent value for the higher cost and atmosphere of the Whiskey room. Coffee and tea were available at an extra cost (unlike their standard breakfast buffet where it is included). We were also able to order non-alcoholic mimosas which were served in lovely flutes. We had a very attentive server assigned to our room named Jennifer who made sure we were well taken care of. Be sure to sign up for their loyalty program to get rewards on your spending here. The Turret room is also available for private booking, and we did have a chance to dine there during their standard breakfast buffets. This room is nice with lots of windows, but not completely private (no door) and has less artistic details/decor than the Whiskey room.

Had a lovely evening at the restaurant while staying at the Idlewyld Inn & Spa. They have been a local favourite for special occasions that had lots of character and charm. The wine list and menu were exciting and well thought out. Started with the French onion soup and the beet salad with sesame crusted goat cheese; both amazing. Mains were large portions, piping hot and delicious. Our server was kind, loved her job and added to an overall wonderful evening and a great experience. They have a piano in the dining room, I would love to return while someone is playing! This would be the perfect location for a special meal at any time, enjoy!🍷

The hidden gem of London. Absolutely gorgeous property that takes you out of the hustle and bustle of life and sets you in a place of tranquility. The attentive staff, the GM Elon, were all friendly and courteous. The buffet was clean, delicious and fresh, they make it in small batches so it's never sitting out to dry. The icing on the cake is being greeted by Mr. Farhi himself, he went to every table and took the time to speak to them. He was genuinely curious on why they were here and if they were enjoying their stay and breakfast.
