Tanakaya Japanese Restaurant is a cozy little spot in Covent Garden Market that left me thoroughly impressed. As a vegetarian, I was delighted to find that they had a delicious option for me - the miso ramen with dumplings was simply fantastic! The lady serving us was incredibly accommodating and displayed the utmost courtesy throughout our meal. She went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful dining experience, which made the visit all the more memorable. To complement the meal, I tried their boba tea, and it didn't disappoint! The blend of flavors was perfect, and it added a refreshing touch to the entire lunch. The owners of Tanakaya truly take pride in their restaurant, and it shows in the exceptional quality of both the food and the service. If you're in Covent Garden Market and looking for a delightful Japanese dining experience, Tanakaya is the place to be!

Ordered delivery & the packaging was so great. They even included a ramen spoon which I thought was great. The broth was delivered piping hot & I didn’t need to heat it up at all. I went with the pork bone broth and ordered a dream roll on the side. It was all so fresh and absolutely delicious. Also the egg in the ramen was cooked PERFECTLY. I HIGHLY recommend Update. Tried their beef hot pot too! It was super yummy & loaded with beef & veggies.

I have gone to this Japanese restaurant but for takeaway order. They have good pricing on their menu. I come here, if I am in the downtown. They have bubble tea and it is unique they have the coffee flavour. The Japanese curry with rice is good, but recommend if you dine-in as you take it out. The chicken gets soggy as it is steaming from its container causing moisture. The takoyaki balls is good and cheaper than to other restaurants that served takoyaki. This Japanese restaurant is decent for downtown London, Ontario; for those who are into this food. I will visit again when the weather gets warmer and be in downtown.
