Plant Matter Cafe

Visited for some food & coffee while I worked on organizing my calendar for the week. The staff was kind, informative, and even considerate to not disrupt my work. I got the brown sugar latte. It’s cafe good, however a little more on the “coffee” side, if that makes sense. I will be asking for extra sweet next time. For my main I got the French Dip without mushrooms, and a side house salad. The sandwich was delicious, everything you’d want from a French dip. The house salad dressing was delicious, though I was a little unhappy with the large and few pieces of veggies on top. Some smaller pieces of cucumber and onion, and maybe julienne carrot would really level it up. For dessert I got the Fudge cake. It was literally the best cake I’ve ever had. So decadent yet not too much chocolate, was a big piece, and had excellent presentation. Overall, it was delicious and great atmosphere, and I will be returning. I wish I visited this spot more, as I will be leaving the area. Don’t make the same mistake I did, go now!

My sister and I were so, so lucky to discover Plant Matter Kitchen in the lovely walkable Wortley Village neighborhood! We shared The Boho and the Beet and Pearl Onion Salad. The presentation was gorgeous! Staff was super friendly and the service was great! We are from Michigan, US and will visit again any time we are in London.

Their takeout pickup service was efficient, and the staff was very welcoming. 😊 The food was not just good; it was scrumptious! 🤤 However, one minor drawback was that not all items on their menu were available for takeout. 🙁 Nevertheless, if you're looking for delicious plant-based options, Plant Matter is a must-try! 🌿👌

AMAZING!!! My friends and I went to plant matter once back in August 2021, and ever since it has been our go to restaurant. None of us are vegan, however we do have food allergies to eggs and dairy. Every time we have gone to plant matter we receive excellent service and even more amazing food. The atmosphere is lively and the staff is always very kind and patient. I always recommend plant matter to my friends and family and I cannot wait for my next meal there!

First time here- with a gift certificate. Food was very tasty, especially the escargot appetizer and the artichoke dip. My hubby enjoyed his bangers and mash and my main course salad looked wonderful until I noticed the pieces of tofu were burnt on one side and all the pieces of tofu had been placed burnt side down (hoping I wouldn't notice may be?). I brought this to the attention of the waiter, who already knew why I was calling him to our table and who up until then had been efficient and pleasant. He offered to replace the tofu with non burnt tofu but no apology was forthcoming or offer to make further amends and he was somewhat less engaging afterward. Other than that- a nice place and wonderful flavours.

We have always been passing by the Plant Matter Kitchen and attracted by the delicious food smells all the time. We recently got the chance to try their food at lunch. We had cream of mushroom soup, the impossible burger with potato wedges, a hearty salad bowl, and kombucha. Everything was extremely flavourful. Also, there was no disturbing heavy odours although they have an open kitchen. They have a refreshing and clean environment with appetizing smells. The staff was friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!
