Some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had.
Morso was just a short 7 minute walk away from our hotel. It’s a small place with a front room and a back room.
The pasta is made fresh everyday. So you have to try the pasta.
The waitress brought out some focaccia bread for us to try. It was delicious!
We ordered some wine and calamari for starters. The calamari comes with 4 large rings. It was very good! The breading is light and it is cooked to perfection.
For dinner I ordered the sea bass. It is a small fillet and comes with the skin still on, with a small side of grilled romaine lettuce and sits on a green sauce that looks like chimichurri, but doesn’t taste exactly like it. My husband ordered the Tagliatelle alla Bolognese. It was very good. The portions are small compared to most places. But, then you may have room for dessert! For dessert my husband ordered the lemon sorbet and I ordered the deconstructed lemon posset. It was delicious! I probably could have gone without it, as I was a little too full afterwards, but it was totally worth it!
I highly recommend trying Morso. Get there early, or make reservations.
Nice Italian food with some great options for vegetarian. Would highly recommend the Arancini and Calamari bites. Ravioli and Bolognese were my personal favorite of all dishes. If you are ordering the Rigatoni pistachio and burratta please ask for it to be well done, it comes in slightly undercooked but has a nice pistachio sauce taste. Overall the food was good. Potted tiramisu was a bit dry and lacked coffee. Also don't go by the staff's suggestion of ordering 3 dishes per person, we ended up wasting food.
We had a lovely time at Morso, and I can most definitely recommend people to visit if they are after authentic and delicious Italian dishes. The layout of the menu is also interesting, with every person being recommended to get a “small” pasta plate and 2 bites each.
Everything we ordered tasted exquisite, the “bite” plates had a wide range of what you could order ranging from vegetarian to tagliata steak. I would definitely look to visit this place again as it was all cooked to perfection. The cocktails were also great, and the staff were lovely and attentive.
Hidden gem! Really good italian restaurant with fresh pasta dishes. The arancini balls and egg yolk raviolo is a must try. Dishes are well priced so def good value. Love the ambiance of the place too!
It was very nice and peaceful 😌 place perfect for family 👪 ❤ and also I loved what ever food that I had ordered 😍 I had seen this place on Instagram page and I decided to visit 😊
This is my favourite Italian restaurant in London and trust me when I say I’ve been to a few! Move over Big Mamma Group, local is how we like it!
My boyfriend and I have been coming here for the last two years and it never disappoints! The beef carpaccio, the tomatoes with the burrata, my FAVE egg yolk ravioli - just HOW do they make that?!! And the sumptuous tiramisu that has this crumbly topping and that touch of salt. DIVINE! The service is always impeccable, Vanessa is so lovely, always welcoming and nothing is ever too much.
The question is, how many visits is too many - breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days a week?! 😉🥰
Sensational food over here in this hidden gem. Stumbled across the restaurant and we left with full bellies.
Only negative for me was the concept of small plates. Unfortunately needed quite a few to fill us up which racks up the bill.
Word of caution, it's quite small so advisable to book up to ensure you get a space
Very nice place. Was walking around and decided to go for a dinner. Pasta dishes are very fresh and delicious. Deserts are great, not over sweet and the taste is great balanced. Would definitely recommend espresso martini - delicious with a taste of almond. The staff is very friendly and the service was quick.
5 stars across the board. I went out of my way to leave a tip even when they tried to insist against it. The two women who attended to me were welcoming, attentive, respectful and warm. Entering the restaurant made me feel like I had to take notes of how good everything was - lighting, ambiance, wait staff, speed of service, food temperature, seating and one thing that I didn't even realise could be mastered making an unexpected guest feel like they were expected. I only realised at the very end when I was paying that I only had about an hour on that table. The way they treated me I would have thought I had all the time in the world they didn't do the annoying thing of stating with a hint of irritation or unease that I only had the table for X amount of time. Other restaurants take heed.
Their fresh pasta is indeed very fresh. I would go back for their special of the day when it comes to pasta - if I'm honest the starter of prawns was very good quality but not necessarily unique so go for their signature pasta! Their potted tiramisu was lovely the crunch mixed so well with the layered sponge and carefully portioned cream. I would suggest they hold back a tiny bit on the espresso granules in the crunchy part but that's just a little tip.
Thanks for such a wonderful experience!
Almost forgot the foccacio bread - definetly get that! I (and everyone who goes) got a complimentary one and decided against getting the official starter version in favour of the prawns which I now regret!
An amazing Italian restaurant - the pastas are fresh and home made. One of the best in the hood ..the staff is very friendly and attentive as well !
