Pippa was our sommelier and she was excellent and finding a beautiful bottle of wine I’d never have picked on my own! Friendly and down to earth, not at all pretentious! Looking forward to coming back and having food

Fantastic hidden gem. We didn't try the food but walked in on a Monday. The servers first of all were fabulous. Friendly, attentive, and genuine.
More so - they were knowledgeable about wine and guided us to a bottle. It happened to be retail price Mondays - which we hadn't known about when we walked in.
The place has ample room for private parties and is very nicely decorated. Will definitely return on my next visit to London.

The best part of this place is the staff, very helpful, nice, funny and honest. When we ordered coffee they were very clear they were not a coffee shop so the coffee may not be amazing, after all the warning anyway we ordered coffee and was good.

Wine selection was great, share platters were nice in taste. The only downside was the didn't have Argentinian wines (we were after a good Argentinian Malbec); but we got a Chilean which was good.

Great place to sit and chat, music was there but not really loud and nice environment.

We were a group of five and had a great time, for couples is also an ideal place.

Go you wont regret. Be mindful, it is not cheap as they have good wines, however, the flight tasting of the month is £13 and you get to try 4 different wines in good quantity

What better way to start the evening that with a glass of something fizzy.  I’d gone along to the Humble Grape for a little wine tasting, what they call vinotyping and some food.  The evening started with a delicious pink sparkling wine, made prosecco style. Ghisolana La Divina Rosato Spumante extra Dry – which apparently can’t be called a prosecco because it comes from the Veneto.  Well, in this case, a rose by any other name tastes just as ‘sweet’.

If you like good wine but hate the pretence that often comes with it, I've got just the wine bar for you: Humble Grape. You might have heard it before - there's already one in Battersea but they've just opened a new branch off Fleet Street and I headed there recently to find out a little more. You can find Humble Grape tucked away beneath the vaults of St Bride's Church, in the infamous journalist district of Fleet Street.

Fleet Street. Wine bar. A couple of decades ago, the words would have conjured up images of navy-blue-suited, signet-ring-wearing, beaujolais-nouveau-quaffing, shouting-into-oversize-Motorola-mobile-phones-housed-in-briefcases, one-failed-trade-away-from-an-aneurism city boys. And sure, today the late 80s/early 90s yuppie has arguably been replaced by a far more sinister breed – the corporate hipster – but at least we can now all enjoy a decent drop before rushing to catch trains bound for our £400,000 studio flats in an up-and-coming (ignore the queues waiting for their methadone fix each morning) pocket of zone 3.

Lovely cavernous space with light greyish woods.  We attended the discounted soft launch where the menu was still limited to sharing platters.

The two of us shared the meat platter of charcuterie and the vegetable platter.  Both came with lovely focaccio studded with rosemary and garlic.  The meat platter was pleasant with braesola, prosciutto, salami as well as a spicy chorizo-like salami whose name I can't remember.  The vegetable platter was quite stunning.  Roast butternut squash marinated in garlic was the standout on the plate.  There was also a whole roast aubergine, roast baby carrots with cumin and beetroot with morcocan spices as well as stuffed courgette.  I would only fault this dish in that it needed a sharp note such as salsa verde or tapenade especially on the slightly bland courgette.

We finished with the only dessert on the menu, which was a trio of ice creams.  The elderflower sorbet was really memorable.

Tucked away in a beautiful, quiet street just off Fleet Street in Central London, The City, next to City Thames Link station. Food is fantastic - should win a Michelin-star. Service is quick and friendly, atmosphere is 5/5 - cosy, small-ish, intimate but beautiful contemporary style with predominantly wooden / cork materials for walls and floor and fashionable diner seating and small 2-people tables for relaxed dining. Prices are also reasonable. They are also famous for their large wine selection and even offer a wine subscription for only £25 a month offering 4 glasses of wine - a steal! So happy I found this place for a casual dinner on a Friday night after work - be back soon! Thank you!

Thank you Katya and the Humble Grape team for serving us the wedding of our dreams back in May! The venue was stunning, the staff were professional and always kept our water and wine glasses full, we never felt rushed through our courses and the food was so delicious our guests are still talking about it 6 months later! Katya helped us plan all the details and even helped with some of the decor and set up. Was great for having a live band too at one end with a quieter retreat at the bar end. Perfect venue for a wedding for all the reasons mentioned plus it's on Bride's Lane and in the crypts of a church famed for inspiring the tiered wedding cake! We would highly recommend for any event.

Great little spot with monthly tasting options. I tried the August and September wines which were a rose and Italian wine selection, respectively. The handy paper placemat gives you an overview of the wines. My only feedback is that they should look to either explain or include in the placemat the food matchings

Service is fantastic. But to be honest, the wine selection it's not my cup of tea, more hedonistic style for yuppies. But still you can find something for yourself. Quite good braseeri style of food. Simple but good. Monday is the best day to visit this place, becouse you pay shelf take away prices for wine and you can drink inside the restaurant. General manager Kevin Coetzee is a real star. Thank you again for a very nice welcome.

A wine tasting experience like none other, accompanied with great food. The Côte de Boeuf is out of this world if you like your steaks. Some incredible wines from around the globe, selected only from responsible estates.

Great service. We ordered Burrata and skirtloin steak. While Steak was dry and tasteless Burrata was very fresh. I recommend you go for small dishes and wine rather than ordering main dishes.
