Food was great but not the best I've eaten at a Michelin restaurant. Staff was amazing, everyone was friendly, lovely and super attentive. The staff really brings the experience together and I believe they deserve all the praise. Place was cozy and too to overpy decorated. It was not very expensive for a three star restaurant, some two star restaurants charge around the same.

Everything you would expect from Gordon. The experience was impeccable and we were amazed at the menu. We tried both menus and shared between each other. I recommend the house Gin but overall a once in a lifetime experience.

We had the Menu Prestige. Probably the most delicious meal I have ever eaten; incredible food. The service was excellent. One or two of the wine pairings seemed a little odd, but it's possible that I lack the correct appreciation. Restaurant Gordon Ramsay is worthy of the three Michelin stars. The prices are not unreasonable.

I was worried reading some of these reviews that we’d be disappointed but we loved every second! Food was delicious, service impeccable. The ravioli dish was a particular standout. The sommelier was brilliant and recommended some truly outstanding wine for us. All in all a fantastic experience that lived up to the name and the stars!

This restaurant has been on my bucket list for the longest time. I truly love Gordon Ramsay and what he has created with this restaurant. Matt Abe has done a fantastic job with maintaining Gordon Ramsay's 3 Michelin stars. I selected the Carte Blanche course option but gluten free which allows the chef to select what he'd like for each dish. It adds an element of surprise, elegance and creativity. At each turn I was definitely impressed and surprised about what was put on the plate. For the entire 7 course meal there was only one dish I did not enjoy. It started with savory petit fours, a refresher, then lead into a wild summer salad, next salted butter and gluten free bread dressed lightly with sweet honey. This was then followed by a lobster delicately decorated with edible flowers and accompanied with two elegant sauces, one with caviar and the other hard to describe but delicious. The caviar added a nice pop and each sauce added a different element with each bite. They paired well and had their own subtle, yet refreshing contrast. After this, a sea bass was presented with a foam, mustard sauce and a small salad. This was the only dish I did not enjoy. The mustard sauce did not pair well and could not be separated from the orange foam it became submerged in. It over took the fish and detracted from the salad rather than pairing with it. However, this was followed up by a braised pigeon dish with apricots, creame and apricot gel that was delightful. It was presented with a wing of pigeon that was to be eaten like a chicken wing and a leg of pigeon to be eaten with a fork. Each part was eleganlty dressed with edible garnishes. The next part was my absolute favorite. It was a white cheese dish dressed with a special honey, appricots and a type of seed sprinkled on top. Each bite had the subtle sweetness of the blossom honey, the saltiness of the cheese, the melting of the cheese on the tongue and the light crunch from the seedlike garnish. Next up was a custard served in an eggshell on top of a bed of rock salt inside of an egg shapped dish. The sauce on top paired well with the custard with its own balance of sweet yet tangy and sour. The little spoon presented to eat it with was a cute addition. Lastly, from this specific menu was an array of desserts. There was a puff pastry desert for my fiance. It was full of different gels, creams, strawberries and garnish paired with a chantilly cream that was lovely. My dish was edited to be gluten free with a lemon cake, a hard shell, strawberries, clear gel and a rasberry mousse. These desserts were amazing with eafh bite. I'm not sure what the clear gel in this dessert was crafter from but it made the whole dish pop bite wise. Presentation for each was delightful. Next was a jelly bite covered in sugar. A matcha pastry bite. A piece of chocolate each sat in a bowl of cocoa nibs. The only thing other than wine not ordered from this menu that we recieved was from the spring seasonal menu. My fiancé ordered a truffle risotto made of swede instead of rice. The portion was small, but it was good. The texture was on point and delightful to eat. To pair with this exquisite meal we selected a Plan B wine from vineyards in the Frankland River region of Western Australia. From start to finish this meal was extravagant and decadent. The staff was extremely polite, attentive, patient and well rehearsed. They were continuously watching to make sure all needs were met and they asked all the righ questions to ensure the food was allergen free. Visiting this restaurant may make your wallet cry, but it is well worth the experience at every turn.

Restaurant Gordon Ramsey Over the last eighteen years we’ve had the pleasure of dining at Restaurant Gordon Ramsey on many occasions but I have to say that our latest visit tops the lot. The food was simply outstanding , the wine was excellent and the service was impeccable. So yes this visit which was to celebrate our anniversary will live long in our memory. Our lunch began with a fabulous warm welcome before being escorted to our table. Here there was a lovely touch from the team in the form of an happy anniversary card and flowers. This was nicely followed by a complimentary glass of champagne to welcome us back to the restaurant. It was then nice to have a catch up with James to see how things have been and to chat about the new members of the team who we can now say seemed to have settled in perfectly. We were then presented with the menu which was a choice between the Prestige or the surprise Carte Blanche. We both decided to opt for the latter. Next was the wine where we went with jJames recommendation of a bottle of La Cabane Domaine Leon Boesch 2020 Pinot Blanc from Alsace to pair with the first three courses. Now onto the food itself and please forgive with the description of each dish because the Carte Blanche menu is a surprise so will try and describe them as best I can. We started with a delightful selection of snacks which was followed by a refreshing Tomato Dashi with basil , celery and lemon verbena. This led us to the first course and Wow it was absolutely incredible. A Heirloom Tomato Tart with peach , vanilla and smoked stracciatella that was just sublime and easily one of the best dishes I’ve ever had the pleasure of eating. We were then presented with the Herb Parker Loaf with shallots , onion and rosemary before moving to the next course of Lobster with macadamia , elderflower beurre blanc and caviar. This was a dish that looks simple but was amazing and like the first course the flavours were immense. Next to arrive was the fish course. This was a John Dory with peppers , tomato , herbs and a rich and heavenly bouillabaisse that elevated the dish to the highest level. Now to the main dish of the day of Pigeon with carrot and fennel with a pigeon leg on the side. A dish worthy of being a main course anywhere. Our pigeon was accompanied by a glass of Marina Cvetic Montepulciano d’Abruzzo. Next to arrive was a fabulous Cheese Course of Tete de Moine with apicot , sobacha , macadamia and elderflower honey. This led us to a Saffron and Passion Fruit palate cleanser which cleared the way to our dessert and oh boy were we in for a treat. The Strawberry Mille Feuille was simply heaven on a plate and I think that’s all that needs saying on this stunning dessert. We finished with coffee and petit fours to bring to an end a fantastic dining experience. As I said at the beginning the food created by Chef Matt Abe and his team was absolutely incredible , the service was first class , the new team have settled in to the standard of service required with ease and the wine recommendations from James were fabulous. It’s not hard to see why this restaurant has had Three Michelin Stars for so many years which I’m sure will continue for the years to come. Thank You Matt , Kim , James , Freya , Will and all the team for making this the perfect way to celebrate our anniversary and look forward to seeing you all again soon.

Good restaurant, would recommend a try. Foodwise: There were some dishes from the tasting menu that definitely are unique but I would say I expected a bit more. A French 1 star michelin in NY has nothing to envy. Great selection of wines and cheeses. Plating was remarkable. Service: Service was as you would expect on a 3 michelin star restaurant. Very attentive and friendly. Atmosphere Packed with tourists. Service was a bit tense at the beginning which put everyone a bit nervous as there aren't many tables.

Excellence is happening in the kitchen and in the service room. Top top quality. Personally not a fan of smoked food so a tiny bit disappointed that two courses had the smoked flavour. But this is highly subjective. :) compliments to the chefs!

Such long-awaited experience and definitely worth 3months booking in advance. We arrived a few minutes earlier, staff promptly accommodated us in the lobby with amazing and delicious appetisers waiting. We opted for a dinner tasting menu, especially a renown superstar lobster ravioli. Although the flavour was mind-blowing, I did find a small bone, which was a tad disappointing The staff was extremely attentive to detail, up to par with any 3 star Michelin restaurant.

Wow!!! What an amazing experience, taxi dropped us off and the door man at the restaurant opened our doors and escorted us in to our tables. Must say the restaurant didn't seat too many but had more staff than customers, that proves the high and attentive standard Gordon Ramsay has for his restaurants especially this 3 Michelin star one.<br/>Degustation menu was extraordinary dish by dish. Thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it and sure did my wallet at the end of the evening. Will always return her whenever I'm in London.

Love or hate Gordon Ramsay, you can’t deny the fact that he’s the UK’s most decorated Michelin-star chef. His eponymous flagship on the Royal Hospital Road is the only British restaurant in London with three stars, an accolade it has retained since 2001. Add a list of extremely talented prodigies who themselves have their own stars and establishments to humble brag about, and a rather successful showbiz career, Gordon’s commercial success is more than commendable.

I owe a lot to Gordon Ramsay. Back in the period around the millennium while the U.K was going mad for Jamie Oliver’s simple dishes and Essex charm, a foul mouthed chef chasing three michelin stars was bringing the focus onto how life as a chef was in the real world. That man grabbed my attention. That man was Gordon Ramsay. Now of course Ramsay is the face of cooking on television sets across America and you have to say fair play to him. Building up a multi million pound empire of restaurants that stretches the breadth of the globe can’t have been easy, likewise attaining the trades ultimate accolade of three stars back in London. Who could begrudge Gordon for yelling at Americans for a large paycheck?Ramsay though isn’t the angry bully that some would have you believe him to be. I watched him do a live demonstration with sous-chef Mark Sargeant at The Good Food Show in Birmingham. Ramsay eclipsed all other chef’s at the venue and turned out to be a fun guy who enjoyed a laugh. His food wasn’t half bad either.Royal Hospital Road is the flagship restaurant of Gordon Ramsay. The very spot where the three star’s were won. Also the scene of the documentaries ‘Boiling Point’ and ‘Beyond Boiling Point’ which featured Ramsay’s pursuit of the top prize in cooking. Both of which are television gold and available to view on Youtube. We made our reservations quite easily online and timed it with my 29th birthday celebrations. Menu’s are all accessible online and due to the restaurant being a three star the chances of a menu changing is slim. All menu’s were priced very fairly for this part of London and looked incredibly inviting.A quick taxi from Sloane Square took us to the restaurant just as the doors were opening. With the Christmas decorations up outside it’s quite a small, intimate place but very stylish. We walked down a long corridor to the cloakroom area where the reservation was confirmed and our coats taken by the friendly staff. The staff then lead us into the dining room which was a lot smaller than I had envisioned.Straight away the familiar face of Maitre D Jean-Claude Breton arrived extending his hand and wishing me a happy birthday. The man oozes charm and class at the same time putting the guest at ease. It became like chatting to an old friend as we discussed France, rugby, football and food.

First time at this restaurant was a birthday treat from my son so was slightly hesitant as I’m not happy with oh la la food or restaurants. This however was just amazing firstly by saying the staff were absolutely perfect in every possible way I was made to feel so comfortable and at ease they truly blew me away. I would like to thank them all for making our lunch on Saturday 13th perfect in every way.<br/><br/>Going on to the food a delightful experience amazing experience from the crab to the Dover sole such elegant cooking what a wonderful combination of tastes together and the setting was truly comfortable we were still made to feel so special. I can not believe that the restaurant exsits in such a quiet little street you would never imagine that it was there. The decor was peaceful and not to over the top. We were also shown the new kitchen which the staff seemed very proud of and we were made to feel very welcome. I must say it was nothing like I imagined it to be and the surprise made my day perfect. Thank You to all the staff you are Fabulous.

Have you imagine to cook in the famous kitchen of restaurant Gordon Ramsay, a 3 star Michelin award restaurant since 2001, and recreate iconic recipes, as the Beef Wellington and the Salmon Lobster Tortellini? And then have this incredible lunch seated in the restaurant, sharing with your special one, paired with excellent wine and followed by an incredible service? Yes, it is possible and you don’t have to be an experienced<br/>chef. Located at Royal Hospital Road, in the center of London, you can have this one of a kind experience, with this Gordon Ramsay’s signature masterclass, always accompanied by the chef’s team for each detail. And the best: in the end you will bring the detailed recipes back home.

For the last several years we have dined at several Michelin Restaurants for my cousin's birthday and this was another tale of perfection. The restaurant is small and beautiful. The service and food impeccable. Everything you would expect from a 3 star restaurant. We enjoyed the tasting menu and a nice bottle and white wine and a half bottle of red. Be sure to book way ahead especially if you want to go on the weekend as there are very few tables and this is a highly contested spot for a reservation. The meal ran around 700 US dollars, and is worth every penny for great birthday memories.

When given the opportunity to go to a restaurant of my choice, I decided to go all out. The requirement was somewhere fancy, one that I probably couldn't afford myself and somewhere to feed me and look after me. This was a tough ask, but one I narrowed down quickly and efficiently. Some may disagree with my choice, but I went for Restaurant Gordon Ramsay. A Three Starred Michelin restaurant in London. A good reputation, out of my budget and a chance to eat good food and take some foodie pictures.

Excellent dining experience ... The 7 course degustation was varied and beautifully presented and was delicious ... My favourite was the lobster ravioli but everything that was served was brilliant ... It was a pleasure to meet the head chef Matt in his Kitchen & to hear where he started his training in a humble RSL club in Epping Australia ... The sommelier was great ... There was one small problem though when it came to the payment of the bill ... We had prepaid the food component of the meal in Australia and they had trouble locating the payment ... All was resolved in the end but it took an hour to correct the bill...still a great dining experience

Restaurant Gordon Ramsay is one of those restaurants which has been pretty much under the radar with the Twitterati and online community. Yet it has silently held 3 Michelin stars for more than a decade. One can speculate why – the restaurant is very small and getting a table here requires plenty of luck and planning. The restaurant also hardly does much in terms of PR work – you know those free meals that certain blogging groups oh so love. I have dined here on one previous occasion when Clare Smyth was then heading up the kitchen. These days, the kitchen is run by Matt Abe with Clare Smyth serving as a consultant. Needless to say, even though there are pictures of Ramsay cooking on the menu, the big man himself hardly does any cooking in the kitchen anymore.

One of the best meals I have ever eaten. Impeccable in every way. Just behold the splendour of this Turkish Delight. Sheer perfection. Like with many of my fine dining experiences, I tend to just sit there and enjoy the experience and ambience. Phones and noting things down are not elegant companions to fine dining, so just believe me when I say all of the food was magic.

I  first visited this incredible restaurant back in 2011 for my husbands birthday. Back then my husband and I had recently started exploring fine dining in michelin star establishments. It sounds ridiculous but years ago we felt slightly awkward in these restaurants as they were so ‘posh’ and we weren’t sure of the restaurant etiquette. Fast forward to 2015 and I can’t believe we ever felt like that! Visiting a michelin star restaurant is my absolute favourite thing. I know I keep banging on about michelin stars but in my opinion it guarantees amazing food and fantastic service. Now days there are such good lunch deals on offer it’s just as cheap to eat at a michelin star restaurant as it is a chain restaurant.   Anyway, we had decided to return as it was again my husbands birthday and we wanted to fully appreciate the dining experience this time. We had 12o’clock lunch reservations and had already decided we were going for the menu prestige.      We started off the birthday celebrations with a glass of bubbles.     The dining room is very intimate and mostly filled with couples. It’s such a romantic venue.      The first plate was served, an eggshell filled with potato mousseline with smoked egg yolk generously topped with black truffle.     My husband had researched before our visit and heard rave reviews so we added an additional dish of linguine with an emulsion of aged Parmesan again topped with Perigord truffles. The truffles are presented to the table in a wooden box and shaved generously onto your plate, so luxurious!      Pressed foie gras with green apples, turnips, watercress and smoked duck    Ravioli of lobster, langoustine and salmon poached in a light bisque, oscietra caviar and sorrel velouté.  The pasta is incredible and each mouthful is so moreish.    Isle of Gigha halibut with Atlantic King Crab, finger lime and ras el hanout infused broth.  Such a beautifully presented plate, the flowers looked stunning, the broth was so fragrant and delicious.     For main I chose the Cotswold lamb and winter vegetable “Navarin”, braised shank and confit breast    Hubby went for Roast pigeon with fennel, sautéed foie gras, lavender, honey and orange    Before desserts we ordered the optional selection of cheeses     Pre dessert was a pallet cleansing Cucumber sorbet, salad burnet, lemon verbena and mint.  The herbs had been freeze dried to be crushed in the pestle and mortar by the diner at the table.      For dessert we went off the menu and ordered Assiette de l’Aubergine which is a miniature selection of the entire dessert menu!     Lemonade parfait with honey, bergamot and sheep’s milk yoghurt sorbet Smoked chocolate cigar with blood orange and cardamom icecream Carrotcake with mead, bee pollen and creamcheese icecream    Caramelised tarte Tatin of apples with Tahitian vanilla ice cream     English peppermint soufflé with bitter chocolate sorbet Hubby’s birthday didn’t go unnoticed, he was presented another little dessert with a candle and sang to!   I absolutely adore this resturant, one of the best in London.   Each dish is as good as the next and cooked perfectly.  This restaurant holds THREE michelin stars, because it’s a class above all the others. The food is incredible. The plates are presented beautifully and the flavours are extraordinary. This is formal fine dining at it’s best, if you want to feel special, spoilt and pampered, have your crumbs swept away and napkin folded and want to make an effort for a special occasion then this is ideal. I’m a big fan of fine dining and Michelin stars and Restaurant Gordon Ramsay is absolute PERFECTION.

This was a treat. My first trip to the mother land, thought I'd make the most of it. Ended up paying the most for it - but worth every pound that cost me 2 bucks to buy.Never before in my life have I experienced such perfection in every facet of anything. The astounding attention to detail and the almost paranormal ESP of the Maitre 'd combine to offer diners unforgettable experiences, one after another. Not much can be said other than 'you have to do this sort of dining at least once in your life'.I highly recommend matching wines. We opted for the 3rd least expensive, didn't want to cheap out you know... not that it's possible in a place like this. It absolutely blew me away, how much a sip of grape juice can alter the taste of a dish to such a ridiculously high level of awesomeness. This is fine dining. This is London. This is why the bloke is such a hard arse - perfection among humans defies nature.

Excellent food and service in this restaurant. They provide more menu choices for dinner than some other Michelin-starred restaurants and each guest can choose his/her own. The kitchen tour after dinner was a treat for us. Cleanliness was expected but we were surprised at how orderly the kitchen was. Just like a showroom of modern utensils and cooking appliances, all professionally handled by a neat team of chefs.

It first achieved it’s Michelin rating in 2001 having opened as Ramsay’s sole restaurant in 1998. With a seating capacity of 45, it can take up to three months to book your table. Located quietly on Royal Hospital Road, Chelsea, there’s even a bodyguard or security guard watching over its front doors.<br/><br/>The meal: Seasonal Inspiration Menu £195 per person<br/>Dishes were on the small side, but when leaving your taste buds so satisfied, it’s hard to give a unbiased judgement to the courses. Poyee opted for the lobster ravioli over the wagyu beef, (below).<br/><br/>We swapped the deer loin for the Roast Pigeon with fennel, sauteed foie gras, lavender, honey and orange dish. When it came, we fell in love with the sauteed foie gras, and subsequently requested an extra main (+£35) but to have an extra foie gras topping instead of the roast pigeon…(I know you don’t need to tell me…we’re gluts.)

Quite a while since my visit here but sharing my experience anyway. We flew over from Ireland for lunch here and it was worth the trek. First impressions, a small, intimate dining room, well spaced and we were met with a team of welcoming staff. Lots of interaction with the staff who were very happy to talk to us about the exquisite food. The paired wines with each course were also well selected. I could write a book about all the special touches that we noticed and experienced. As we were the last diners at lunch and were particularly interested in the food and ingredients, we were invited to meet the head chef and tour the kitchen. An experience I'll never forget. We finished with coffees then left in awe of our wonderful, unforgettable experience.

Service at Restaurant Gordon Ramsey was perfection. The dining room is cozy and intimate with an abundance of staff operating a quiet symphony. The maître d' was so friendly and made his rounds multiple times to every table. He even provided a kitchen tour at the end of our meal.<br/><br/>We had dined at another Ramsey restaurant a couple days prior and we were very excited to hear they also were serving the white truffle linguine here. We absolutely loved it at Petrus and could not imagine the dish tasting any better. Somehow the one created here was better!<br/><br/>I am a sucker for souffles and get excited when the flavors are more interesting than chocolate or grand marnier. We (I and my friend) had dinner at this restaurant on our last visit to London. A whole experience was amazing. We had a tasting menu where everything was delicious. The service was impeccable. I loved the light in the restaurant. It is a great restaurant in every way food, service, and friendliness of staff members. I definitely recommend this restaurant to all because they have tasty food

Prestige and class at Gordon Ramsay...I think this blog is no stranger to Gordon Ramsay chains, having reviewed Maze, and Savoy Grill ( and an upcoming post on Bread Street Kitchen) . Gordon Ramsay Restaurant is deemed to be one of the best, if not, the best restaurant to serve quality dishes represented by its 3 Michelin star rating. Expect prices to be as high as Mount Fuji but quality, plating, service to be at the highest standard .

A warm and welcoming visit to Gordon Ramsay's flagship restaurant. All the staff were extremely knowledgable and friendly, Jean Claude especially. <br/>I had the 7 course tasting menu, which the staff were willing to make changes requested. The meal itself was outstanding, executed with clinical precision and without fault. Each course was a symphony of flavours that complimented each other and had a definite purpose. <br/>Highlights of the meal were also the bread served and the quail and black pudding scotch egg. The bread was bacon and onion brioche, to say this was the nicest bread I have ever tasted would be an understatement. <br/>Every element of the meal is a precisely planned affair as would be expected from a 3 star restaurant. Although this is a 3 star restaurant it is in no way stuffy or over the top in how it presents itself. A very refined experience that leaves you wanting more. <br/>This is a restaurant you need to experience if only once. Yes it's pricey but the resounding consensus at the end of the meal paying the bill was we need to come back here.

Best restaurant in London! <br/>I came here back in 2011 and really didn't appreciate how good this place is. <br/>This restaurant holds THREE michelin stars, because it's a class above all the others. The food is incredible. The plates are presented beautifully and the flavours are extraordinary. We added extras to the prestige menu. Additions were a parmesan and truffle linguine and Assiette de l’Aubergine, which was a small selection of the entire dessert menu! <br/>This is formal fine dining at it's best, if you want to feel special, have your crumbs swept away and napkin folded and want to make an effort for a special occasion then this is ideal. I'm a big fan of fine dining and Michelin stars and Restaurant Gordon Ramsay is absolute PERFECTION.

A fillet of plaice was sensational; the fish, still fresh and retaining its flavour, was enhanced by a pokey taramasalata, tender strips of razor clam and a beurre noisette, which proved that everything tastes better when basted in brown butter. Rabbit, a meat I seldom I eat due to it always arriving overcooked, had a perfectly timed loin, seasoned by the salty bayonne ham it was wrapped in. Confit leg lay proudly on tender lentils, whilst teeny racks served as a remainder of the animal on the plate. The sauce, a deep glossy thing of dreams, held everything together and pickled mustard seeds popped and provided heat and contrast. It was cooking of the highest order.

I’d not thought much about Clare Smyth MBE, until Restaurant Gordon Ramsay won the ultimate accolade in The Good Food Guide this year. Ten out of ten. Top marks. But Clare is not a well-known TV chef or cookbook writer and her light has been firmly hidden behind the Ramsay bushel. If you’re wondering what she looks like, the menu won’t help, with its painting of Mr R, shown in the actual act of cooking. I’m not sure when he last picked up a knife in his flagship restaurant. Certainly not recently enough to justify his picture all over the menu.

Went to Restaurant Gordon Ramsay a couple of weekends ago and was not disappointed. The restaurant is quite small and understated, but it has a cosy and relaxed feeling about it. The staff were friendly and efficient from start to finish, and never overbearing. The whole evening was very relaxed. One little thing that was a surprise, was upon ordering vodka martinis on arrival, we were informed that they do not do any cocktails due to the size of the premises. Fair enough but a surprise nevertheless. I was very happy to see quite an array of Portuguese wine on the menu, pretty fairly priced (for London) too. We all ordered the three course menu, which is priced at £95. There were so many little extras served I've almost forgotten them all. I do remember a very intriguing amuse Bouche served in an egg shell, couldn't for the life of me tell you what it was, but it was lovely! We then had three other amuse bouches, can't remember them either except to say they were very tasty, one that I do remember was a mini scotch egg in a tiny silver egg cup, that one was my fave. I had the lobster starter, was presented<br/>beautifully and tasted as good. I had pork done six ways for main, again served, presented beautifully and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I should also mentioned that any dishes which were prepared in an unusual way were presented and explained at the table before being taken back to the kitchen for serving, it was a nice touch. We chose the cheese for two and the tarte tartin for dessert and they very kindly divided them between the four of us. All of it was amazing and at this point I didn't think I could eat any more, but then with the bill came they bought little smoking sorbet balls and the most<br/>Divine chocolate and nut concoction ever! Needed to walk home really but it was raining, was still completely full up all day the next day too. Yes it's pricey but so are most good restaurants in London. Well worth it, would highly recommend. I would also visit again, which I don't often say for restaurants like this as I like to try different ones each time. Maybe next time we won't eat for a week and opt for the seven course tasting menu!

Had booked to come to this restaurant in advance with my family. From start to finish, it was absolutely perfect. In fact, possibly the best dining experience I've ever had. The service was intensely professional, and yet very welcoming, charming, genuine and friendly. The maitre d', in particular, was extremely friendly, and even gave us a tour of the kitchen after the meal.<br/><br/>The food was the highlight, and was extraordinary, both in taste and presentation. We both had the 3-course a la carte menu, with a couple of bottles of good and reasonably priced wine.<br/><br/>The overall bill for 4, including service, was £400. Expensive, but a truly unforgettable experience, and one that very much deserves its 3-star status.<br/><br/>Would definitely re-visit for special occasions. Highly recommended.

Gordon Ramsay is one of the best restaurants in London, holding three Michellin-star for its elegant British/French Cuisine.<br/>The restaurant is Located in the most prestigious neighbourhoods of London- Chelsea area. <br/>The restaurant is more than amazing, well balanced with great atmosphere. <br/>Can highly recomment to start with cream of parnsip soup and targon and countinue with Scottish Salmon, stuffed with brown shrimps, pumkin puree and lemon caper dressing.<br/>And countinue with their marvelous coctails- Summer Bloody Mary or the Pimm's Cup Deluxe!  Marvelous restaurant which I highly recommend for celebrating an event or just for a dinner for beloved person!

Left to my own devices, I may not have made it to this exorbitantly lavish 3 Michelin star meal. It would have been an insurmountable challenge to see out the meal without wondering which flights I could book for the same price. Fortunately for my tastebuds, on this particular day, the weighing up of opportunity costs was snatched from my hands after my sister declared that she wanted to go to  Restaurant Gordon Ramsay for her birthday. And who am I to disappoint?<br/><br/>Sat alone at the table (having turned up early for the first time in my life), I re-hydrated with a passion fruit nectar from France. This was the most delicious passion concoction since the fresh juice I guzzled by the gallon on honeymoon in Zanzibar.<br/><br/>But Chef Ramsay didn’t bag himself 3 stars for the quality of his fruit juices so we rapidly move onto the good stuff. And the first teaser was a warm, pastry, cheese puff, so creamy and comforting that you floated into a dairy utopia.<br/><br/>The bread arrived shortly afterwards. This is usually where it all goes wrong for me. Bread at such places is inevitably “delicious” and no matter which particular diet happens to be en vogue this season, they all seem to be carb-loathers. Me – I’m a carb-loader and revelled in the warm bacon bread.<br/><br/>The amouse bouche gave me greater apprehension – as a lifelong mushroom hater, I was unsure what I would make of it but served with chestnut sauce and duck egg yolk, I forgot the wretched ingredient was even there. There’s something so earthy about chestnut flavour, sweet but understated, the perfect backdrop to the crispy sharp onions that the dish came with.<br/><br/>I ordered the potato salad for starters , a collection of different types including the elusive purple potato, which were enriched by the baked vacherin that laced it and this was easily my favourite course, something I rarely say about starters given my pathologically sweet tooth.<br/><br/>It was a close call between my salad and birthday girl’s duck egg ravioli with veloute of Jerusalem artichoke and mushroom ragout but the award for presentation went to hubby's globe artichoke with smoked pork belly.<br/><br/>My miso-glazed cod was as light as one would wish for a lunchtime main and I loved the depth of texture added by the black quinoa. The dish came accompanied by a lapsang souchon broth, which the waiters bring to your nose. If you’ve been afflicted by the winter flu, you’ll be wanting to dig out the decongestants to allow its aromas to permeate your sinuses.<br/><br/>As our meal came to an end, my sister, much to my surprise, opted against the pineapple financiers with coriander, coconut sorbet and vanilla cream and hubby, who has something of an addiction to chocolate opted against the creamy caramel and mint chocolate bars with salted popcorn. Clearly in a culinary alternate universe, I was determined to maintain some sense of reality and predictably stuck to chocolate but I had no regrets, particularly not after trying a spoon of the decadent tonka bean ice cream it came with.<br/><br/>I think sibling would have chosen differently had she known they were about to bring her an elegant, celebratory, praline dessert and by this stage, she had transcended that delicate boundary between pleasure and pain, a phenomenon we know as greed. Pity for her then that the petits-fours arrived shortly afterwards to add to her challenge – chunks of chocolate ganache, strawberry ice cream truffles encased in a white chocolate shell and served in dry ice; this would have been a greater novelty had I not seen a very similar display at Gordon’s other London gem, Petrus).<br/><br/>It was the bejewelled Turkish delight, crowned with gold leaf and served on a shimmering platter fit for royalty, its delicate hint of rosewater dissolving on our tongues – it was this that transported me back to the Middle East in the 1980s, our childhood home, bringing back memories of a world unrecognisable from our London lives now but one which brought us so much joy. And in this way, through this 3 Michelin star meal, I travelled back in time into Arabian lands.

This is one of those places which has a lot of hype associated with it. I was eager to visit this place but my experience on the whole was pretty much average. I liked the food. The only thing I liked about this place was the breads and olive oil. Apart from that nothing was really that good about this place. The service was average. My spouse and I were very excited to try this restaurant once and managed to get a reservation here, which was quite surprising as it was at a very short notice. We arrived here on time and it took them about ten minutes only to give us the menu. Eventually, the food was served and my spouse found the scallops to be amazing but the breads were overcooked which destroyed the whole experience. The spaghetti and clams were average at best. Other food items were only tolerable as well. Not recommended.

Our first visit to royal hospital road will most surely not be our last. On our many travels, for a restaurant of it's kind (one of the few 3 Michelin started) this is hands down the best restaurant in all categories that we have been too: flavour, creativity, service, food, atmosphere, friendliness of staff, intrusiveness of service, going above and beyond, everything was stunning. <br/><br/>The small and intimate dining room has a lovely atmosphere whether empty or full ( our meal encompassed both!). Modern and yet vintage, chic with hints of odd shabby like the light fittings, table cloths, fabric chairs and a stark contrast between the 'expensive living room' area and the dark marble/granite entrance and hallway. <br/><br/>Our visit was for my partners 30th birthday and almost immediately on sitting they wished him a happy birthday... Nicely remembered. All through the evening, the charming French maitre de and I were bouncing off each other joking with my other half that he would sing and had brought his guitar. <br/><br/>We had a glass of pink champagne each, the most delicious we have tasted and they kindly wrote the brand down for us and gave it to us with a menu signed by the chef as a token for the birthday boy at the end of the meal.... After they had allowed us to visit the kitchen...Really very lovely and well above and beyond the necessary. <br/><br/>On to the food! I may have trouble remembering the full 7 course tasting menu but I will say bravo to them for allowing us to make a substation as neither of us agree with fois gras and so did not want that course. If my memory serves they allowed us to exchange it for the scallops and also allowed me to exchange my dessert for the soufflé. <br/><br/>Our amuse bouche were a scotch egg: quails egg surrounded in black pudding and a steamed bun with Asian flavours. I think we also had a third but for the life of me can't remember at the moment. <br/>I can honestly say the scotch egg was the most delicious morsel of food I have ever had the pleasure of popping into my mouth. I could have eaten 20, but was very glad I didn't. I have never eaten black pudding and decided that if there was ever a place to eat it, it would be there, I am so glad I did. <br/><br/>Our pre first course was in the most simple terms, a mushroom broth. Again, so delicious, basically clear and packed with mushroom flavour. <br/><br/>There was of course the flagship lobster raviolo, stuffed with giant lumps of lobster. The sorrel purée was very herby, but didn't overpower the lobster. Fishy deliciousness. <br/><br/>Scallops, gorgeous, enough said. can't beat 'em! <br/><br/>My partner hates cucumber with a passion, gags at the thought and smell.... Our cucumber sorbet with fresh mint.... He ate it all! The mint leaves came liquid nitrogen frozen in a pestle and Morter for us to beat ourselves and then we were instructed to mix it with our sorbet. Theatre and participation is wonderful with food but I think I would have been just as happy watching. It was subtle and delicious but the slightly grainy texture from the frozen mint may put some people off. <br/><br/>The fish course has become unremarkable in my memory actually. I know it was delicious but had the edge of interesting over super delicious (I'm being unbelievably picky believe me) caused by the el hanout infused broth. <br/><br/>A mango and jasmine smoothie was a completely unexpectedly pleasant and needed in betweener. We embarrassed ourselves by making sucking noises with our straws trying to get the last drops... Luckily the venue had filled a little more by then. <br/><br/>Our main of different lamb cuts was again delicious. You really can't beat beautifully red lamb. <br/><br/>Dessert... I am not sorry I chose the peppermint soufflé with intense chocolate sorbet, I just wish I could have eaten the lemonade parfait as well instead of being given a taste. <br/>Mint and chocolate are a match made in heaven... Intense is not a strong enough word for the richness of the sorbet, made even more so by the incredible smooth texture. Best chocolate iced product both of us have ever tasted. <br/>The lemonade parfait was the most divine combination of tart and sweet with subtlety that isn't lost or wasted. Again, the best lemon dessert we have come across. <br/><br/>Now for more extras... They delivered my partner a small birthday desert which we think was a chocolate and salted peanut butter type parfait... You can see the candle in the picture. <br/><br/>Lastly with our tea and coffee, overflowing with dry ice came strawberry ice cream balls covered in white chocolate, great theatre moment, Turkish delight and a chocolate crispy square. All delicious. You can't get enough of the ice cream balls .... Restaurant Gordon Ramsay is one of those stable features on the fine dining scene and how lucky we were to receive an incredibly generous voucher for lunch at this 3 Michelin star favourite! The restaurant is perplexingly shut on the weekends but open on a Bank Holiday Monday, so a reservation duly secured.<br/><br/>I have an expectation of a certain layer of stuffiness when it comes to French restaurants of a certain calibre but once seated, nothing of the sort could be said. A bewildering assortment of staff introduced themselves (in truth, a little too many) but their warmth shone through even though I couldn't remember who did what!<br/><br/>The exterior is pretty unassuming, rather like the Fat Duck, a discreet sign is the only thing suggesting you're coming close to foodie royalty. Inside, it's similarly subtly furnished, tables set aside at reasonable distances to each other, low tables to rest handbags on (I love that touch!) and interesting iron-wrought ceiling fixtures.<br/><br/>We opt for Champagne to kick off and I'm highly bemused when 3 glasses make their way to our table - is he joining us I whisper? No, he's merely tasting it to make sure it's all right and fruity and bubbly or whatever it is the sommelier is tasting for (Yep, I know, Philistine much?) and pronouncing it in good form, he leaves us to enjoy. What a great job that must be, sipping away a tiny bit of everyone's yummy fizz and wines.<br/><br/>But enough of all this sniffing & swirling, onto the main event. The waiter offers up his recommendations, but we're both in a contrary sort of mood and not in the mood for anything very heavy, so we go off-recommendation! I've opted for the Globe Artichoke with Pork Belly to start and Husband's gone for Roast Quail! But not on menu, we are first served a little amuse bouche of white sausage of chicken with tarragon broth to start - it's very light but flavourful and a great taste of what's to come!<br/><br/>My Globe artichoke is almost too beautiful to eat and I love how tender and how subtly it's flavoured, however one complaint is that the richness of the Pork Belly threatens to overshadow the delicacy of the Artichoke. Husband however has so no such issues with his Roast Quail and I barely get a chance to have a bite, he's polished it all up so quickly.<br/><br/>They're not stingy on the bread here but we've been warned not to overfill on the bread and it takes almost superhuman effort to refuse, but we persevere and we're on to the proper main event. Husband's opted for the Pork Belly and I've gone for the Skate.<br/><br/>Now this is going to sound awfully churlish because the food was really very very good. There were three cuts of pork, Pork cheek, Belly and one wrapped in Black pudding. All were tender, beautifully cooked and flavoured. The skate was also perfectly cooked and all accompaniments worked together seamlessly. It just wasn't any greater than I would have expected. Chapter One in Kent does as good a job on the food, as does the Dairy in Clapham (Even without a Michelin star). It was all top notch food, just not food that I dream about months later. Whereas about 2 years later, I still think fondly about that Jugged Hare from Chapter One and my previous arch-enemy, the Onion Soup from the Dairy.<br/><br/>For dessert, husband has opted for the Vanilla Parfait with Poached Rhubarb and I, spotting the biggest stinkiest cheese trolley, have opted for the cheese. Husband rolls his eyes at me saying Trust you to order the dish with a supplement and that's when we realise - his menu has prices, mine does not? A little bit of sexism at play, clearly he, husband, man (grunt grunt) is in charge of the bill and my delicate ladylike self cannot possibly see what this costs. What on earth do they do if a mixed crowd comes in? But this isn't the time or place for a sexist rant.<br/><br/>The poached rhubarb and vanilla parfait comes pretty in pink, but I, liking neither rhubarb nor vanilla, have my eyes firmly on the cheese trolley. Lovely lovely woman that she is, doesn't bat an eyelid at my greed as instead of choosing a small selection, I carry on saying things like Ooh what about a little of this one, and soon enough I have enough cheese to conquer France. But I am up to the challenge and shamefully quickly, all that wonderful cheese has gone and in plentiful quantity for both of us to share!<br/><br/>We're invited in for a sneaky peak to the kitchen and I think I may have set my hopes a bit high when I imagined Gordon himself to be swearing at someone in there, but it's interesting to see what a professional kitchen looks like and I can imagine I'm on a set of some kind of Masterchef. And when we return, lo and behold, it's petit four time. My favourite sort of time.<br/><br/>The most delicate rosewater jellies accompany rich chocolate truffles and that intriguing bowl you see in the middle is white chocolate shells with strawberry ice cream in the middle. Very delicate, like eating little mini white chocolate magnums. But obviously better.<br/><br/>Somehow we've managed to while away quite a few hours here. Yes it's true that I don't dream about the food we had there, but I do remember idyllic hours swept away in a haze of good food, divine bubbly stuff and jollied by excellent service. And that is why Restaurant Gordon Ramsay commands the stars that it does - time slips away as you leave your cares at the door.

Restaurant Gordon Ramsay is one of those stable features on the fine dining scene and how lucky we were when the brother & sister-in-law gave Husband an incredibly generous voucher for lunch at this 3 Michelin star favourite! I had to be extra nice to the husband to merit being his Plus 1, let me tell you! The restaurant is perplexingly shut on the weekends but open on a Bank Holiday Monday, so a reservation duly secured. The lovely sister-in-law raved about it and so we went in with high expectations.  I have an expectation of a certain layer of stuffiness when it comes to French restaurants of a certain calibre but once seated, nothing of the sort could be said.  A bewildering assortment of staff introduced themselves (in truth, a little too many) but their warmth shone through even though I couldn’t remember who did what! The universe is in a constant state of chaos. So unique are moments of calm and equilibrium that men should be on a constant search for them. A spiritual awakening of the senses, orgasm of the tongue and whatnot, all those things are here. The pressure was high. Expectations, in my book, have never been good for anything except disappointments (and I have gone through enough men in this short life span to fully appreciate what I just said). Clare Smyth, the only female chef in Britain to hold 3 Michelin Stars (and the first British woman to obtain such a high title), as head chef was stacking everything up higher. The place was unexpectedly small, and didn’t necessarily look all that great (a similar problem to what I had with the Ledbury). The entrance was nice, and the place was cozy, and we were by far the most fashionable people there. The bread selection is an important start. It’s what really keep you going and we all know that a good cover sometimes makes you buy the book. There

If there's one restaurant that has stood out to me for some time it's Restaurant Gordon Ramsay. I have to admit after seeing head chef Clare Smyth on MasterChef the Professionals I was in complete awe of her talent in the Kitchen and the stunning food. So this year when faced with the question of what to do for my Birthday, there was one place on my mind, and what better occasion to go to such a prestigious restaurant than for a celebration!  So firstly I secured a table in advance, it's lucky that my birthday is on a Monday as Restaurant Gordon Ramsay is only open weeknights. Then came the waiting, I'm sure I had reserved a table two months ahead of time! but luckily the wait was extremely worth it.  From the moment we arrived we were welcomed into the restaurant and greeted by smiley faces and we were led to our table. When I booked I requested a table with a view and we were not let down, we were led to a table by the window so we could look out and also h

The basic description 'Carbonara' of the dish that followed doesn't even begin to do it justice. It goes straight into my top ten dishes of all time. It is only 'carbonara' in so far as bacon/ham and eggs are involved, that is where all similarity ends. A giant raviolo is filled with smoked mashed potato and a soft hens egg. The pasta bundle is then wrapped in roast iberico ham and topped with caramelised onions before being submerged in a swirl of onion veloute and four year old parmesan foam. It was just a plate of awesomeness that could never have been too big.

This is the infamous Gordon Ramsay’s 3 Michelin Star flagship restaurant, located in one of the nicest area of London, Chelsea.. I’m a big fan of Ramsay through both his cooking and TV show but never had the chance to try his flagship restaurant, I were only able to go to Petrus and Bread Street Kitchen.. The place is small and rather private but still buzzing and relaxed not up-tight atmosphere like some places.. The restaurant is now run by Chef Patron Clare Smyth who features both Gordon Ramsay classic dishes and her own style of modern French using the finest ingredients.. The menu is devised into three types: a la carte (£95 for 3 course), menu prestige (7 course tasting at £135) and lunch menu (only at lunch for 3 course at £55).. I have chosen the a la carte and my girlfriend the lunch menu. Let see how it goes.. At start we get a wonderful selection of sourdough, pretzel, bacon and onion brioche and this wonderful mini cannelloni with chestnut velouté.. Delicious For starters w

My husband and I ordered off of the different menus with me getting the lunch (£55) and him the a la carte (£95) to allow us the ability to compare. Mine began with the tartlet of confit salmon. Upon its arrival, the dish looked anything but a tartlet with it being so big. The crust was wonderfully delicate and crispy made from phyllo dough rather than pastry. Cool shavings of fennel lined the base adding a fresh salad to the dish.

Restaurant Gordon Ramsay deserves every one of its three Michelin stars; the food is exquisite and if anyone wants to learn about customer service, then these guys have it absolutely nailed. This was an outstanding dining experience: not fussy, not pretentious, just totally focused on the diner and delivering more than they promise - this is the dining equivalent of being ushered to the front of the queue, past the rope and bouncers and straight into the VIP lounge.

In 1998 Gordon Ramsay opened his eponymous restaurant on Royal Hospital Road in Chelsea and in 2001 it was awarded three Michelin stars – the highest possible. Now chef patron Clare Smyth is the only female in the UK to hold such status. The recently refurbed dining room was absolutely beautiful. It’s only a small space seating 45 or so but it was flooded with natural light and the upholstered chairs and plush carpets made for a very comfortable place to sit. We decided to skip the set lunch menu priced at £55 for three courses and ordered from the a la carte which was £95 with a more exciting choice for each course – you’ve got to treat yourself sometimes eh! As you can imagine, it ain’t a cheap place to go for lunch. I started things off with a mango juice and although it was the best juice I’ve ever tasted it was £10 a glass! Crikey O’Reilly! A generous offering of bread started proceedings and was totally divine. The potato bread along with the bacon and onion brioche served with s

There are definitely some Ramsay classics on offer, and I guess he must be aware of suppliers, inspiration behind the menu's and the design of the rooms, but what is clear is his skill in choosing the right people to run an important flagship venue. Indeed this is the keystone of his empire, as the esteem of having 3 Michelin Stars under his belt is an essential part of his audience generating power. The restaurant in Royal Hospital Road has undergone some changes recently, the front of house has been refurbished and more importantly a shift has been made in highlighting the considerable talents of the head chef, Clare Smyth, who has overseen a change of menu's, including a vegetarian menu, something I

Service was again immaculate, I stand by the fact that Restaurant Gordon Ramsay still offers the very best service around. Yes the menu hasn’t evolved too much and compared to the food of places like L’Enclume and Sat Bains is not innovative or exciting. It is however still excellent quality ingredients cooked with precision and skill.

As Fernand Point once said: 'The most difficult dishes to make generally appear to be the simplest.' The occasional controversy surrounding Gordon Ramsay personally may also present a distraction from the fact that Clare Smyth delivers immaculate food in this Chelsea establishment. Her food is classically styled and presented, but with contemporaneous and sometimes eclectic flavours and ingredients. The lovely dining room is presided over by Jean-Claude Breton, a maitre d'hôtel with inimitable style and grandeur. One of the great names in

The service was friendly, charming and effortlessly slick. But I do feel that for a lot of restaurant lovers, the whole experience will never live up to the price tag. There is a certain premium to be paid because of the sacred “third star”. Despite this, we had a wonderful meal and would recommend it to any fans of fine-dining, as long as money is no object.

7+ courses later, I understood the contradictory reviews. It was undoubtedly a great restaurant. Intimate space with only 15 tables or so, located in the heart of Chelsea. It fitted all the criteria of an exclusive fine dining restaurant. Food wise, nothing outstanding but nothing below average either. Compared to other Michelin starred restaurants, food was probably towards the lower range. This made me wonder how Michelin 1, 2 and 3 stars were actually scored on. Based on my recent Michelin experiences, there weren’t much difference between the 3 stars. I preferred Raymond Blanc’s Le Manoir more than Gordon Ramsay. Le Manoir was elegant, romantic, with great ambience and delicious food. Gordon Ramsay on the other hand, cluttered space with average food like my fellow bloggers have mentioned.

Gordon Ramsay on Royal Hospital Road. This is definitely one from the archives but which I still feel compelled to blog about. Most people either have a positive or negative impression of him. A lot of them commented on his swearing in Hell's Kitchen. I actually like watching the show and a fiery kitchen is not uncommon and we do have to remember that it is played up for the show. Lately, he has been in the news more for his personal life than his culinary skills. I came here a while back for the tasting menu. I especially liked the second canapés. Wafer thin and crispy, it was a flavour hit without the lingering greasiness. Pressed foie gras with Madeira jelly, smoked duck, peach and almond crumble Pan fried sea scallops from the Isle of Skye with peas, crispy bacon, quail's eggs, baby gem lettuce Ravioli of lobster, langoustine and salmon with tomato chutney, vinaigrette Fillet of turbot with braised baby gem lettuce, leeks and cep sauce Cannon of Cornish lamb with confit shoulder,

Flawless service. Two of us dined today and had the prix fixe lunch menu. Although the ambience and food were very nice, the service really blew us away. This extraordinary team under the watchful eye of Jean-Claude seem to know your every need even before you yourself are aware. <br/><br/>In terms of food, it was of a high standard without being mind-blowing, the highlight dishes probably being a ravioli of potato and smoked quail's egg, and a dessert of caramelized banana, peanut butter mousse and chocolate 'curls'. Perhaps the other menus would offer more creativity, but we were very happy with the value represented by the 45 pound set menu. <br/><br/>One last thing, the dining room (apparently refurbished only a few years ago) is intimate but surprisingly dated - some of the decor looks straight out of the 1990s! This does not detract much from the ambience, food or service but was a point of humour for us!

This was my very first experience at a restaurant of this caliber and I was nervous to say the least. As we walked in I was quite and reserved, I didn't want to say or do the wrong thing. My first impressions of the restaurant were good. It was very classy, a man dressed in all black opened the front door for us and we entered a small hallway that lead to a even smaller area with a bar. We went through another door and into a dinning room with about fourteen tables mostly made up of two tops but with one table of eight in the center. They sat us at a table in the corner, I sat in the seat facing the entire restaurant, with Kathy to my right, and Siobhan to my left. The sommelier approached me to ask if we wanted to start with apéritif. Kathy immediately took the lead and said yes and asked about their selection of champagne. Kathy then picked a bot

Food sold in supermarkets is generally required to display a sell by date, we wonder if restaurants should be forced to do likewise. If they were, Gordon Ramsay's Royal Hospital Road would surely be well past its date and diners might decide that something fresher is more in order. Having eaten there twice in the pre-blog days and feeling pretty ambivalent about it, we nevertheless felt that we should revisit and record the experience for the blog, perhaps they've raised their game and they'll surprise us.

Completely Sold. I visited Restaurant Gordon Ramsay with my family about a year ago, and we all concluded that it was the best meal and restaurant experience we have encountered so far. From arriving at the restaurant and being guided to our table by Jean-Claude the Maitre D', who's charm and attention to detail is so incredible, to Mark Askew's carefully prepared food, it was just flawless. <br/>We started off by gazing intrepidly at the menu's and the 40 page wine list, before concluding that we could only afford the cheapest wine (which was £40) but which was still incredibly fresh and moreish. After nibbling on some of the bread selection on offer, we we presented with the amuse bouche, which consisted of a very flavoursome pumpkin veloute and finely shaved black truffle - this was a perfect way to entice us with what was still to come.<br/>For starters, I chose the Foie gras with sauternes and camomile jelly and the rest of my family settled on the tuna and swordfish tartar. The foie gras was deliciously light and buttery, and the jelly was incredibly powerful - the two complemented each other perfectly. The tartar was very fresh and clean, with each fish distinguishable among the quails egg yolk. <br/>Main courses arrived no sooner than our plates had left the table. I went for the sea bream with navet and an intensely flavoured cream and butter sauce, which just fell apart at the touch of the fork it was so perfectly steamed. My dad's venison was so lean it could have been mistaken for a top quality beef fillet, and was so meaty he preferred it to a standard steak. My mum and brother both chose the pork with cream sauce, which they both adored as it was so incredibly delicate. <br/>Deserts were equally impressive with as bold flavours as had already passed our lips. The pastry on my pear tart tatin was very short, and again, perfectly baked. <br/>After desserts were a nice addition, with balls of strawberry ice cream dipped in white chocolate arriving in spectacular fashion in a bowl of dry ice. Petit fours consisted of tiny chocolates which were very rich and dark. <br/>In summary, both the service and food were flawless, with no criticisms what so ever. The only thing I don't like is the wait before I can go back again!
