Simpson's In The Strand - London - Photo album

Surprisingly tasty food, which unfortunately my pictures don’t do justice. Haven’t been in years, but the mix of classic staples such as the beef trolleys together with more modern comfort food really works. Must give a mention to our lovely waiters who made it a truly special occasion!
Had a Christmas meal a la carte with my work colleagues and it's the best Christmas dinner we have had in the 17+ years of Christmas dinners! Good service and very good food. For me only let down a little by dessert, but that was mainly down to my choice. Formal sophisticated dining with personabl
Enjoyed my time at the Simpson's. Service was great and I appreciate the place keeping up with the tradition. I ordered the roast beef on the cart and it was delicious. My partner ordered the sole and we shared the Christmas themed desserts.
Wow! Simpson's has earned its stellar reputation after years of perfect service and incredible food. Housed by the iconic high end Savoy hotel on the Strand, right in the heart of London. Their Sunday roast has a world class reputation and for good reason. The huge racks of roast rib are wheeled t
We absolutely love Simpson's. My partner and I got engaged here. The service is next to none. We celebrate most of our special occasions here and it is always excellent. The food is very tasty and I haven't had beef as good anywhere else. My partner participated in the beef carving course and Simpso
Had a wonderful evening on 5th December with two friends. Excellent food, very friendly and professional staff. We all had starters; I had the devilled eggs, which were very nice. Two of us had roast beef from the trolley. Without exaggeration probably the best roast beef that I have ever had. Fanta
We truly enjoyed our time here. From the live music the table side service, we relaxed and let the atmosphere of their grand dining room set the mood. We enjoyed lovster Thermador as well and the table side roast. Only downside they ran out of the dessert we wanted to order.
The best roast beef ever!! Service was superb, staff were very friendly and attentive. And the food was amazing!! I had the the scallops to start with - wonderful flavour. Our friends had the potted shrimp and they were equally happy! Three of us had the roast beef and, oh my goodness, it was cooked
If you can't get rezzies in the restaurant, pop upstairs to the bar where you can relax over stellar cocktails (best Bees Knees I've ever had) and elevated bar snacks. Elegant, yet cozy, it's perfect for drinks pre/post-show or just for fun.
We thoroughly enjoyed the dinner and was able to experience generally good service. The three course meal left us so full and satisfied. Will highly recommend the crab cake with soft boiled egg, and tender and juicy lamb. One interesting thing is that there are many people celebrating their birthday
My dad used to take me there all the time. I was a real fussy eater but never had a problem eating anything from here. All delicious. The place is steeped in history and never seems to change, its a wonderful place an absolute gem and everytime I've been there since my father passed, has been fu
There are all sorts of restaurants in London, from the restaurant which makes you fancy you are in Paris to the restaurant which makes you wish you were. There are palaces in Piccadilly, quaint lethal chambers in Soho, and strange food factories in Oxford Street and Tottenham Court Road. There are r
Roy was absolutely fantastic and made our experience wonderful. As Americans, we are generally used to better service than what you'll find in London due to it being a viable career in the US where the best can do very very well. In London, it seemed, there were no career servers but Roy would
I visited Simpson's courtesy of the late P.G. Wodehouse. I cannot imagine that the scene where Wodehouse places Aline Peters and George Emerson at Simpson's will be any different when that peerless restaurant reopens in 2024 than it was in the fictional "Something Fresh" set in the 1920s...
Fabulous! Visited here last week with my boyfriend for our anniversary as he seen it featured on a programme he watched a while back. So glad he chose here. It was the best roast dinner I've ever had. Brought out to you on a trolley and cut infront of you. Someone plays the piano and sings quietly i
I started off my evening in the bar upstairs where I had some excellent drinks served by incredibly knowledagble bartenders! We then proceeded to the incredible main dining area which has been recently refurbished. I had a delicious roast beef which was a perfect medium rare. I finished my meal with
We recently visited for a festive celebration. I absolutely loved the food and the service. Our waitress was very informative and always alerted us to meat/ alcohol which she thought we may not want due to religious reasons. Great attention to detail throughout. Would return here and definitely reco
Beautiful service and gorgeous food. You can see why this place has been running for so many years. Total class.
