Had a great experience here 5 years ago. This time we had slow and unenthusiastic service. We had to wait 45 minutes for the waiter even came to the table - let alone take our order!! The tasting menu should be an experience and the explanations were unenthusiastic and quite frankly they seemed bored! We were then charged for 6 bottles of water - £30 - which we certainly didn't have. Overcharged by £220 for wine. Disappointing is an understatement. We will not be returning and leave very disappointed.
I booked a taster menu for myself and 3 other guests at Roux, after having previously had wonderful experiences dining at Le Gavroche. The service was impeccable. I found the taster menu a little dull, it didn't have the wow factor I was expecting. The wine list was amazing and we opted for a superb house champagne. I would recommend this restaurant, however I would go for the a la carte menu if returning.
Top level Fine Dining cooking and exemplary service made this a memorable and highly enjoyable lunch..my crab followed by beef and salted caramel tart were each delicious, perfectly judged and took great skill. The same is true of my cousin's mackerel, duck and plum pudding.
This is cooking with great finesse.
Service was the correct balance between formality and friendliness. This is a wonderful restaurant.

As much as I love the convenience of digital photography, there is something so wonderful about film – the uncertainty and excitement when watching the image develop is something that really can’t be replaced. I was given a FujiFilm Instax camera last Christmas, and over the past year have captured so many amazing memories and experiences.
I had decided to try Roux Parliament Square after watching head chef Steve Groves on the recent Celebrity Masterchef . I liked him (as one likes someone from a TV programme) and felt like trying his food which looked pretty interesting. We certainly were not disappointed, each dish tasting as good as it looked.
It was my birthday this week and because I am always planning everything, I gave TBH a list of restaurants I wanted to try and told him to surprise me. The list was varied and in the end he had to get help from a colleague who is just as into food as I am. Lucky me, as had it not been for her, he would probably have gone for one of the safe options on the list....
Hi all, hope you're having a nice weekend. I started mine off by having dinner at "Roux at Parliament Square" last night. The restaurant, brainchild of Michel Roux jr's served some of my highlight dishes of 2015. Compliments to Steve Groves, winner of MasterChef: The professionals in 2009. I am a fan of the show and in a way it's nice to see Michel giving a massive opportunity to one of the talented winners.
I’ve been following a new eating and exercise plan, which means that I have been keeping the eating out to a minimum. But it was my birthday recently and if you can’t celebrate your birthday with a fantastic dinner, then when can you? Life is for living and all of that… So I tasked The Better Half (TBH) with choosing where he would take me and after a quick peruse of my bucket list – it can’t get any easier than that, right? He chose Roux at Parliament Square.
Beautiful and well presented food, friendly staff and a cracking cheese board but all slightly too pretentious for me. I would return for a special occasion but I wouldn't rush back for a regular evening.
Again we really enjoyed our meal. The food is well executed, and the flavours generally well balanced. There were more diners in the restaurant this time, and this added to the atmosphere.
We chose to spend a night out in Roux for a special occasion (nameday). We have read about its reputation and went through the menu before visiting.
Everything was according to our expectations.
Excellent service, immaculate environment, very friendly staff.
We chose the 5 course menu and everything was fantastic. Presentation wise as well as taste wise.
The price was totally justifiable.
We would definitely go back.
P.S.: Additional points for the no discretionary charge to the bill. Therefore bear in mind to add your tip for the staff.
Lovely restaurant! It is nice and cosy inside, and to be honest, I was expecting the price of the menu to be higher. I could not afford to eat there often, but on occasion, that's a great place to go. The food was really nice, we all enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.
Our hostess was absolutely charming, a young lady called Valentina, her presence made the experience even better.
I will definitely go back for the next good opportunity such as a birthday etc. I would recommend.
Went here using a set menu offer in Timeout magazine: 3 courses and a glass of bubbly for £34.
The dishes were delicious if not a bit small in portion size, but then this is expected given it is fancy restaurant and a set menu.
If you go for the set menu, there are a limited amount of options but we both found something we could eat off of it. I especially loved the vanilla cheesecake with rhubarb.
Service was excellent. I was shocked we didn’t get asked to pay a service charge, which is unusual for London, so we were free to tip as much as we wanted.
This is the second time we've been here. The food is sumptuous... perfectly prepared and presented. The wine is fabulous. In fact there are not enough words to describe how wonderful this place is.
The food tasted pretty good but not great, like other Michelin-starred restaurants that I went. The service was good. The food presentation is very nice, and the location is great.
Most incredible meal we have ever had. Been to many Michelin star restaurants before and this outdid itself with the flavour combinations. Service was also impeccable.
Quite simply one of the best chefs menu tastings I have ever had. The turbot was the star of the show but nothing disappointed...
Sensational food, service and atmosphere. On top of all that we met Michel Roux Jr and he gave my wife a rose, we were astounded. Wonderful evening.
