Place is very well decored, good light, colorful, trendy. Service is fast and welcoming. We tried for breakfast but also nice for brunch or quick snack. Tried a Chai Latte that was fine, avocado toast and pancakes 🥞 Food was awesome. Average prices for this kind of places in London.

All you can ask of a Sunday brunch! Great staff and amazing food! Avocado toast and eggs on toast. And pancakes with fruit. All really good.
And don't forget the hot chocolate and the chai!

Regardless of where I live, I always find a cafe to call my local. Here in Whitechapel that is the Grounded Coffee Company cafe. A super popular joint, they offer decent coffees and a proper brunch menu. It’s halal, so expect substitute bacon but all the same enjoyable start to your morning. There’s serious queues here at Grounded in the weekend. That usually puts me off most of the time, which is probably a good thing for my wallet, but a bad thing for my happiness. When solo dining, there’s usually a couple spots on the bar. I don’t enjoy this heightened view of the world, but sometimes it’s a necessity. Weekdays are a different story, it’s usually a good level of crowdedness without table fight or queuing.

Ugh, just the thought of breakfast foods is making my mouth salivate. But when you’re not in the mood to whip some of these up yourself, where can you go to get a good quality halal breakfast that isn’t in a dingy little greasy spoon cafe? Well my friends, I may have found a decent alternative; Grounded Coffee Company situated in Whitechapel.

Grounded is everything you'd want in a brunch option. With that in mind, avoid it for weekend brunch because it is crazy busy! Go for dinner or a late lunch because you'll be able to walk right in and order without dealing with a line. The vegetarian burger was wonderful, and the fries were exceptional. The English breakfast was very good but maybe not great. The sausage was bland, the beans were boring, but everything else delicious! I'd happily return. Staff made it a great experience by being prompt and helpful.

Amazing little breakfast restaurant. Ate here 3 out of 4 days on my visit to London. Very cozy, but you need to be here on time otherwise the ques are long. 09.00 is perfect, any later and you'll stand in line for up to 30 min. Food is amazing. Really enjoyed all 3 meals. Freshly made with great care. Organic eggs, and fresh produce. Both food and drinks are amazing. Staff can be a bit slow, and they managed to send the wrong food one day. But still amazing. Would definantly go back here! <3

Really good halal breakfast-place. Went for the scrambled eggs with turkey bacon and avocado with chili and was not dissapointed. The place is crowded and the tables are really close to eachother, but the vibe is really nice and the service is good. Had a cappuccino on the side but that one was too watery. We paid like 38 pounds for the breakfast.

Went to try the full English breakfast as I heard this is one of the popular breakfast place. Ordered French toast and full English breakfast. The food taste was good. The beef sausage and turkey bacon were juicy and tinder enough. One important thing is the hash browns are really good than other countries e.g. USA.

Lovely cosy place. The burgers are made really well and very filling. Presentation of the food is very stylish but it can be somewhat impractical, as the food was served on wooden boards.

Went for breakfast on the recommendation of a friend, was not disappointed! Staff are nice and friendly. Everything is halal and there’s so much to pick from. I went for the beef sausage breakfast, was really good. Would love to come back and try the lunch menu next time I’m in London!

My mate recommended this spot as I was looking for a halal English breakfast and boy did this deliver. The beef sausage was amazing, the turkey bacon was perfectly cooked, baked beans were flavorful, the eggs and toast were solid, the hash brown was a nice addition, and surprisingly to me as I don’t usually care for mushrooms, but they were amazing!

Food was delicious! Their french toast dish for brunch was magnificent and their chicken wings had just the right crispiness. Brunch was soo good, I had to come back for dinner. Although the space is small it has a lot

Visited this place for the first time and we ordered chai tea, mocha and ordered a brunch meal (forgot the name)! The staff were friendly and there was a tall gentleman who was very friendly when speaking to the table next to us. Overall service was great. The atmosphere was great as well, although seated near the front window we felt slightly cramped. The decor is simple and no fancy business which I like! The poached eggs were great although one of them were slightly over cooked however since everything else was great I can’t really complain. The salmon was nice along with the with salad and avocado. The chai tea was great and I tried the mocha with had cinnamon which was strange but different for sure. Overall will come here again! Slightly on the pricier side but that may be due to the location. Best part would be the great service with friendly staff who were always available. 9/10 definitely recommend!

There was a wait as this place is very popular so best to make sure u get there early. Other than the wait time the food was absolutely delicious I order the uncle burger and French toast and both were a treat. Absolutely delicious could not fault and the chips were really good every thing was served hot and was perfect. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and the staff were friendly too.

I recently visited Grounded and was impressed with their fully halal menu. We tried a variety of dishes, including the beef ribs and calamari, both of which were enjoyable. However, the standout dishes were definitely the Full English Breakfast and French Toast. As a first-timer for English breakfast, I was pleasantly surprised by how well the components went together. But the French Toast was the real star - made with brioche, it was absolutely delicious and a solid 5/5. The ribs were also very tender, and the salmon fillet was cooked to perfection. Overall, a great experience with tasty food, and I would definitely recommend giving Grounded a visit.

I had a great time in this restaurant. The eggs benedict was one of the best I’ve ever had before. The selfmade sourdough bread is a 10/10. They also have some sweets which are also tasty. It seemed like that this place is very popular since there was a small queue after I left.

5 stars - This is my fave breakfast place! Every time I have gone I have never been disappointed. One of the best buttermilk pancakes I have ever eaten, highly recommended. English breakfast, the eggs are cooked perfectly to my liking. There has always been a queue on the weekends in the mornings due to popularity, worth the wait. Updated: 4 stars. I have been here again a few times after and still love majority of what they serve. I tried their burgers which were delicious! Lovely and moist. Not a fan of the English beef breakfast, I was really disappointed with this so would not recommend. It was a busy day but that’s not a good enough reason for cold, overcooked eggs. I could also smell food that had gone off which made me paranoid thinking it was coming from what I was eating but the smell came and went a few times.

I’m visiting from the US 🇺🇸 Hands down THE BEST FRENCH TOAST I’ve had in my entire life. Perfectly fluffy, with crisp edges, the combination of fruits and jam with the syrup was unforgettable. 10/10! Ismael, the restaurant manager I believe, was awesome. Came by our table several times to make sure our brunch was perfect. Had the English breakfast for the first time. It was pretty okay. Just something I’m not used to. Next time I would ask for hash browns to be made extra crispy. Will definitely come back here next time I visit London!
