I was staying in South Kensington and visiting the London area on what happened to be my Grammy's birthday. I miss her so much and wanted to take myself to a birthday celebration dinner in her honor. She loved a good burger and fries so I knew I needed to find a place that would do her justice. I selected Honest Burgers and wandered around a bit in the rain trying to find just exactly where they were. When I hit their front door on a rainy Friday night around 6P the place was abuzz! I took the very last bar stool available at that moment, it was very full. The energy, music, and service at Honest Burgers was just what I needed to feel I was here celebrating my most fav person ever!!!
My burger and fries were damn good! and the beer I enjoyed was the perfect match.
I'd highly suggest Honest Burgers if you're into red meat ;) positive, upbeat, fun, friendly service at a reasonable price because that's exactly what you'll find at this joint.
Now that I'm an expat, there are certain things from the US I didn't know I was spoiled with, such as the Beyond Burger. I took these things for granted in the US because Beyond Burger is hard to find in the UK...
Honest Burger offers a 100% vegan burger made with a Beyond Meat patty, vegan cheese, and vegan mayo...it's pretty delicious (see picture). HB did a good job combining flavors and cooking the patty.
HB also offers another burger that can be made vegan upon request (I think it was a falafel patty)...but I likely won't try it since I'm going there for a taste of home (the Beyond Patty!). You can't beat it.
We were seated promptly and provided menus. We ordered their regular beef burger with no cheese and the tribute burger. As an American the beef burger was boring but the tribute was amazing. So if you come to visit definitely get their tribute burger. Their G&T was outstanding. The chips were good. The staff was super nice and everything was nice and clean. Went here around 20:00 and it had about 9 tables full. Enjoy!
Five days into my London vacation, I realized that most of my meals up until that point had consisted of chicken or fish. It was time for that to change. Looking at Yelp, I saw that Honest Burgers was on my planned walking route for the evening and, seeing the good reviews, I was inclined to give it a try. The place was busy when I walked in, but I was seated quickly at the small "bar" (really a line of stools at a table facing a wall).
It took a while for my order to be taken, but when it was, I ordered a beef burger with rosemary salted chips and a Fuller's Frontier lager. The beer, although coming in a bottle, had a glass for drinking out of. When my burger arrived, it looked so good that I forgot to take a picture before digging in. The beef, while done simply, was flavourful, with the lettuce and onion relish complementing the taste. The seasoned chips were crispy and delicious. By the time I remembered that I had forgotten to take a picture, all food had disappeared from my plate.
After eating, came another wait for the check. And wait I did. At least 10 minutes to get a check and for a waiter to come over with the credit card reader. It took longer to pay than it did for me to devour the amazing burger I ate here.
The food was definitely a 5/5 here: one of the best burgers I have ever had, even if it was a little on the expensive side. The service, on the other hand, was quite slow and lackluster. This location could so easily be a 5/5 if the wait staff was a little more attentive (or if there were more of them so that customers weren't left waiting to order/pay).
Awesome burger and Atmosphere. Friday night great experience. The South Ken Burger (honest beef, smoked raclcette cheese, Grilled onions garlic and parsley mayo, rocket & pickles with homemade rosemary chips.)
Loved their take on burgers. Everything was tasty and fresh. The joint was very busy when we got there but they got us in relatively quickly. They didn't have waitlist on paper but the host had an excellent memory and remembered who came in first, second, etc. I was impressed!
Absolutely delicious dinner! We stumbled in after getting off the tube and figured we'd get a quick bite to eat. We didn't anticipate anything special, but boy were we wrong!! The people were great, and super friendly. We both ordered 2 of their current specials (1 hamburger, 1 chicken sandwich) and split them because they were both SO good! Their Honest G & T is amazing as well. So much so we were in talks with how to get our hands on some of their house Gin. It's that good! Definitely give this place a try!
As American travelers with a teenage boy, who is picky, we were able to feed him here twice on a trip to London. Burgers were very good and service was great.
This burger Reataurant was in a perfect location. We had just arrived to visit the Natural History and Science Museums after a long walk in Hyde Park. We were hungry and the s didn't lace was ideal.
Simple menu and great food.
Had the Honest burger with Cheddar and Rosemary chips (fries), along with Honest G and T (gin and tonic). Great combo. Also, tried the Plant burger. Excellent option as well.
Prices very reasonable and line not too long. We went on a weekend during lunch time and waited 15 minutes for a party of 5.
Again, excellent, no frills place for a good burger.
WOW What a great burger they make. It was just what the doctor ordered. The staff and service was very nice. Stop and see for your self
Amazing buffalo chicken wings and Buffalo burger. We really enjoyed the food and flavours.
It was a bit of a chore getting served and I had to stop someone passing by to order, to ask for napkins (which were not given with the food) and finally to pay. It was busy and the seating is very narrow and close to other tables but I guess that is because of the location. Otherwise we really enjoyed eating there.
It was a very good experience. First time having an honest burger. The beef was well done. The atmosphere was amazing. However, we had to wait for about 20 minutes to get a table because it was full. In summary, will be visiting again
The food was awesome, and the service was good. The place was pretty nice and comfy, but the portion of fries are a bit too much considering they're pretty salty, but the burger was perfect and was cooked exactly how I wanted. (Would recommend the smash burger and the onion rings).
I was craving a burger today, so I searched on Google to find Honest Burger sitting comfortably at the top of the table with 1,000+ 5 star reviews. That will do me just fine. I jumped on a lime bike through Hyde park, down past exhibition road (which is a must see) to be greeted by the lovely staff at Honest Burgers. I was recommended the Chilli burger by the amazing waiter, and I was not disappointed. Quite literally the nicest burger I have ever had the pleasure of enjoying. I will be back. And if you’re reading this, you should go!
Burger and rosemary chips are delicious! The pickled onion relish on the burger takes it to the next level! We also ordered wings which was nice but found the wings to be very small.
Had one of my best burger in London there. It’s just hearty and yum! The rosemary chips and onion were great as well. Good vibe, good food, what’s not to love.
Nice local burger joint atmosphere, however had expected a little more due to the high star reviews on google.
Was a little disappointed with the chicken burger (chicken was a tad too dry for my liking). The beef burgers were okay, but the winner has got to be the fries!
It was definitely interesting experience.
We were asked to wait outside for 20min and it was fine, as we knew about it from reviews here.
Place itself has his own vibe, unusual sitting arrangement (table and stools), hooks on the wall for a coat and rustic tableware.
Food arrived with reasonable time, tasted delicious and portion size was fair.
It isn't 5 star only because of customer service, we waited for ages till staff took the order in ( they weren't busy ;) ), water never was served and staff also wasn't around till we asked for a bill.
Amazing burgers. Unable to book so had a 15 minute wait to get a table. A very busy restaurant but very friendly staff and good service. Ordered 2 burgers from kids menu, the Honest Burger and Chicken burger - all with fries. All came in good time and tasted amazing. Received 20% Blue Light discount too.
I ordered a beef burger (honest) which it came pretty fast. The waitress was friendly and welcoming. The price is reasonable as well so I would say it is a good restaurant that i will definitely visit again.
