My local. my office. my new year eve bar of choice. I miss the Indian newspapers.
People absolutely love it. Toned down Indian dishes to suit the local palate; so know what you are walking into. Service was fast and staff was courteous.
What can be better than seeing a movie with friends? When it then becomes a dinner outing to complete the day. Luckily for us, Kings Cross has an array of restaurants including Dishoom. Dishoom has been attempted to go to for a while but for one reason or another, it hasn’t happened. Until this particular evening when we were hungry after the movie.
I had my favourite food at this place. Their lamb chops are so delicious. There is amazing chole bhatoore. If you are from delhi, you would know the struggle of eating good choley bhatoore. I love to visit this place and would recommend everyone to visit
This is an amazing restaurant London. I always try to go to this place whenever I’m there in the city.
My all-time favourite dishes from here are sali bauti, pao bhaji, dal makhani, and chicken roll.
I also like there Dishoom IPA beer.
This is a must visit outlet for all people looking for Iranian Indian food. The ambience is awesome and the staff is really very courteous. It is highly recommended to visit this place by reserving a table in advance.
Because this is favourite in London. Best Indian food in London May it be breakfast, lunch or dinner this is the place from bun Maska to vadapao you can get everything and it’s yum. Sometime you have to wait if planning to go on Friday and Saturday but it’s worth waiting as who don’t like free chai while waiting.
Dishoom is always my go to whenever I have guests or whenever my friends and I have something to celebrate. The service is always good and the food speaks for itself! The black daal is a personal favourite of mine and the pomegranate bellinis! Pretty reasonably priced by London standards too
Visited this place today with a friend. Location is ideal and is very close to the King’s Cross / St. Pancreas International train station. I had heard this place is always crowded and is a must visit in case you have a craving for Indian cuisine plus if you do not want to compromise on the ambiance.
Well it was indeed crowded with a waiting time of at-least 30 mins. We decided to sit at the bar table instead. The interiors are truly amazing. They have picked up quite a few amazing ideas from the local Mumbai culture especially the irani / parsi cafes there.
The place is brimming with people / of different nationalities who flock here to enjoy the indian cuisine in a truly indian way.
We wanted to go light and hence just ordered regular Indian tea and vada Pao. The taste was just as I would find in any good shop/cafe back in India and vada Pao was served with the gun powder, fried green chilli and the chatni (sauce). The taste was 100% authentic and I instantly felt that I am back home in India.
Hats off to these guys and I am glad to know there are numerous Dishoom outlets in London and at other places.
The service is pretty quick. The staff is quite hospitable and full of energy. You will not be disappointed for sure. The menu offers a good collection of starters to main-course and a wide variety of vegetarian/non-vegetarian options.
The AH Wheeler & Co. (inscribed in Hindi) at the top of the ceiling still resonates in my mind J . Hats off to the creativity and for bringing the Indian essence all the way to London.
I had a great experience and I would certainly recommend others to visit here, to enjoy the Indian cuisine.
I feel they deserve a 5 on all the parameters. Kudos to the team.
Good Indian style restaurant with only walk ins.
Ordered lamb and chicken and the food was upto my expectations.
If you are hungry for Indian cuisine. Try any of its outlet in London.
Not only do I love the place for its decor, the quirkiness of the menu, the lovely lamb shanks (the Nalli Nihari is a must) and the finger food, you soon realise that this is turning out to be an institution.
Not only is Dishoom a huge favourite of Indians visiting London, the locals love this desi extravaganza.
This is my second time visiting here and I absolutely love this restaurant. The ambience is so nice and the food is fantastic. I only had breakfast there but it didn’t disappoint me for sure. On top of it the service there is top notch. Very attentive and friendly and helpful. I highly highly recommend to go there.
Of all the Dishoom locations in the city, this one is truly exceptional. The ambiance is remarkable and seamlessly merges with the consistently excellent food and service. Unique touches, like the original Thomas Crapper toilets, add to the authentic and distinctive atmosphere. Our servers for the evening, Jude and Luca, deserve a special mention. They expertly catered to our diverse group, accommodating a variety of tastes and preferences. During your visit, I highly recommend trying the Black Daal and Chicken Ruby – both dishes are truly delightful. The only downside is that the popularity of this branch often results in queues, so booking in advance is highly recommended to ensure a seamless dining experience.
One of my favorite Indian food in London. Have visited several times and it’s really a good place to go with friends or with someone visiting London. Always a long queue, we waited for about 1.5hr to get our table. (1hr waiting in the queue and 30mins at the bar, but they offer small glass of chai, tea, or alcohol for the queue which is nice.) The KX branch is big, 3 floors with many tables, it is a bit dark in the evening when dining. The roll is quite nice and portion is big; House Chaat and Chicken Ruby is delicious; Black Daal is perfect with naan or roti, or u can eat it alone, also not bad. I would say worth the wait, and will really want to go back for the breakfast with unlimited chai!
Ate here for the first time and it won’t be the last. The food was amazing and exceeded my expectations. I’ve heard lots of people talk about this establishment but I was very sceptical however I was not disappointed. Lots of dietary options. Good service but extremely busy. Make sure you make a reservation otherwise it’s a long wait outside.
Amazing restaurant just few steps away from King’s cross. Staff is professional, friendly, highly qualified and very organised. Food is sensational and flavourful. Doesn’t matter if you go for breakfast or dinner, the place is just faultless. Cannot wait to go back!
Visited Dishoom for the first time this week and had a lovely experience, we were quickly seated and talked through the large menu by Hamza who was very helpful and friendly. Our starters and food came quite promptly and it did not disappoint, it was delicious and filling.
I hope to visit again to try different dishes, and recommend anyone to give it a try.
Recommended by several friends, this is how an upscale Indian restaurant is done! Delicious foods and delicious prices and quite a variety too. I had the breakfast at this location and the granola and chocolate chai was just perfect. The chai has free refills too if one glass isn’t enough (hint, it might not be!)
Finally experienced Dishoom and I can say I was not disappointed at all! We booked this for my sister's birthday, she loved it. The restaurant was lovely and the ambience fit in with the theme of tthe cuisine. To top it off as we didn't order a dessert they took the cost of the birthday girl's drink off our bill. Will definitely be back!
This is such a great place to go for dinner! The food is phenomenal, the atmosphere is really unique, and the staff is very helpful. I highly recommend. Just be ready to wait in line, but it’s worth it!
Saying I love Dishoom food is an understatement.....its one of my fav places to visit. I have literally visited all the branches in London.
This is one of the busier restaurants....and queues to get in are similar to others. The warm tea is always welcome.
I always recommend the Black Daal and the Okra Fries. The chicken Ruby is great...and desert has to be the rice pudding.
Always worth a visit...its my second time here and enjoyed it...though had to leave soon as food was finished due to queues.
