Great old school music and amazing!!!! Cocktail. Great for an after work mid week dazzle ... Or the best way to start of the weekend in the tower hill area ??Definitely going back!!
Revolution bars are dotted around the country, there's one in my hometown of Bristol, but I had never visited. I now know I was missing out. The central London venue is in a great location - not too obvious that it is packed, but easy enough to get to if you want (and you should).
I went with a couple of friends for a girls night out, and we all ordered different food from the extensive, and all delicious sounding, menu. I eventually opted for the BBQ burger meal after much deliberation, and was met with a sight so beautiful I almost didn't want to eat it. The burger was cooked perfectly, piled into a brioche bun with bacon, onion rings and BBQ sauce, and accompanied by some gorgeous chips - served in a cute little mug. The whole meal was served on a wooden board, which was a nice touch, and the portion size was large.
Luckily I got a lot of drinks to wash it down - all at 2-4-1 on their happy hour deal. From a peanut butter martini, which wasn't as nice as I thought it would be, to a fantastic range of flavoured vodka shots the drinks menu is even longer than the food one. Revolution bars are famous for their flavoured vodka, and we opted for the two sticks which come with shots in some of their most popular flavours. A highlight for me was the salted caramel, but I would recommend you avoid the black pepper!
We had been seated in a large booth at the front of the restraint, and we spent several hours there without feeling pushed to leave at any time. The hostess was so friendly, chatting to is and making sure we were having a great time, and she really made our day. Overall Revolution bars are great places to go for a celebration, or if you stick to the bar then a fabulous cocktail or two.
Top tip: arrive a little earlier than you would like to eat, as the bar will fill up later on. You can order a drink whilst you wait, secure with the fact you have a good table.
Revolution (or Revs) is mostly known for its drinks and bar/club nights. They have a really extensive range of alcohol, and even stock all the main brands of particular spirits. The bar menu has a great list of fun cocktails - a lot of them are pretty sweet: some actually have sweets inside them. There's also a frozen slushy-like cocktail which would be perfect to sip on on a summer's evening. Drinks aren't cheap, but they're fairly reasonable for what you're getting.
Knowing Revs as a place to go for a nice drink, I was a little apprehensive as to what their food would be like for dinner. I was pleasantly surprised upon looking at the menu, as they had an equally appealing list of dishes on offer - many with alcoholic sauces! I love their 'bad boy' pizza and burger - perfect for meat-lovers, and very flavoursome. They also have some chilli-infused dishes if the alcohol isn't enough for you!
For a chain, Revs also has quite fancy decor - often with a chandelier or ambient lighting. I'd highly recommend the venue for group get-togethers or parties.
I met a group of friends who had already started their dinner. I wasn't expecting the food to be any good to be honest but I was pleasantly surprised. Their menu is pretty decent and the meal was palatable! A great place for groups and the service is pretty standard.
Every time I went after the initial experience I've found it's never particularly busy but perhaps this is because I normally arrive around 7-8pm in the evening.
Top notch place, one of the best Revs i've been to, much better than my hometown branch in loughborough! I was surprised at how quiet it was in here, however it was a sunny sunday afternoon when we visited. Another group of people were there for a cocktail making session which looked fun!
It was a complete pleasure to be served by Emily at this bar who is a great ambassador for the revs brand. The place is stylish and is easily worth a 4/5 rating, however Emily the barmaid notches it up to a well deserved 4.5/5. Lovely place to come for cocktails!!
It’s one of those bars that are great to go with friends. Their flavoured shots were amazing! I really loved it and there is a good variety of that around. They had cheaper deals for the shots (6 shots for £10 otherwise one shot was £2.25) but this was their already made shots and you could not choose. It was still good. I love that they did happy hour, I went on a Friday night and the happy hour was 2-4-1. We also purchased the revolution card which allowed us to have the happy hour until the end of the night which was good. I loved the cocktails. One downfall was that on the website it said it closes at 1, but in fact we was told to leave around 12. The security guards were friendly and really lovely but we wanted to know why it was not open until 1am as stated. Either way, it was a good night and a good place to chill!
My department and I had the masterclass last night with Ella and Nicole. They were absolutely brilliant and had such a great time! We learnt how to make some cocktails, then was able to make one of our choice from the large list available, followed by a team race where one of you had to wear a blindfold and be guided by your team make to cocktail. The platters tasty and the bar staff were so friendly and helped us store a birthday cake and were kind enough to light candles and help us sing for our team member. Cool venue, great vibe. Will definitely come back. Thank you!
This revolution bar is better than most of the others I've been to as it's got more room to move around and is better staffed as far as bar service. I really enjoyed the brick tunnel walkways in the back as it gives the place a nice atmosphere. My friend had her hen party here and booked the back area for her private party which was a £300 min spend for that area. It meant we had enough room to dance and sit on the couches. Enjoyed more than I normally do when going to revolution bar not the obnoxious young crowd like the one closer to London bridge. Will be back xx
We held a private function here, the staff were helpful whilst we were setting up and when the function started, they made sure that everyone was being looked after and accommodated any changes. The drinks are of a good quality and the food is okay. The building has a great atmosphere and the location is very convenient for everyone to travel to and from.
Fantastic afternoon here for my friends birthday. Lovely meal and then we made cocktails behind the bar. Such a fun experience. Friendly, attentive staff.
Loved the decor and ambiance of the place.
Clean toilets and throughout the venue itself.
Great night top service
Came with friends for Christmas drinks. The venue was very inviting and well decorated. We did not realise how big the place was either till we walked the full length of the bar. Toilets are always a let down but these were fantastic and the extra touches were classy. The service was efficient and really friendly and cannot fault our visit the team here seem to enjoy their jobs and it shows.
A nice place to go to. I go there for the London Fur Meets and the place can get pretty packed on a Saturday. The service is really quick and precise. The only thing I'd ask for improvement is the serving time for food. Serving time for drinks is very quick. But keep up the good work
Me and my colleagues went out for drinks this Friday for happy hour and had great service from Ella! She was very friendly and happy to help! The cocktails were amazing. Will definitely be coming back.
Cool place.. 2 for 1 on cocktails in the weekdays are a nice touch! Wouldn't recommend visiting on the weekend as the venue is usually booked out for private events. Monday to Friday - a great place to visit after work.
Ended the working week this Friday with a great evening at Revs! We booked in for their Friday club and the free cocktails we got were great! We were served our food and drinks by the superstar Ellina. Will definitely be going back soon !!
Went there for the first time, it was alright unsure if I would go again as I don't think it's my type of scene. The toilets are clean and there is two different rooms that play different type of music. There is a VIP area behind DJ but it's nothing to really shout about( again my personal preference). I've been raving/partying since 17yrs old so my views will be completely different. The drinks are over expensive especially when the venue isn't plush or over the top glamorous. But hey don't just your decision on my views go and see for yourself
Absolutely loved coming here. Service was spot on for our works food and drink get-together and we even got free cake. Great atmosphere, we all left on a high. Will definitely be recommending.
