Home from Home. Love, love, love this establishment! The food is good and the people are friendly -- the atmosphere is fun -- but it's the selection of ales, beers, ciders and other tasty offerings that makes it really special. I go back every time I'm in London!

Favorite in Covent Garden area. This place has got what it takes to make a man happy: a stellar beer selection, boasting many of the best Belgians available; a killer Venison burger; and the best tempura-fried calamari I've ever had. I really love this joint--I wish it were in my own hometown!

Great Bar - Good Lunch venue.. Love Lowlander, have been going for years, they do great snack food of a Belgian / Dutch nature that are tasty and well priced. But lets be honest, its all about the beer in here. Huge range, lots on draft.
The biggest shame is that they have stopped doing the 1/4 pint taster glasses; you used to be able to buy a selection of 6. Bring them back Lowlander!
But its still great and it will continue to be a firm favourite.

Good beer, good food. The beer is a bit expensive, £3.50 for Jupiler is extortion, given that its about €1 in Belgium, but it's not that easy to get over here, and they have lots of selection, and some things on draft which are cheaper.

Food seemed good, I recommend the meat mezze.

Once upon a time I used to work for a large travel agency, but after some 5 years I had to get out. It was becoming too much for me. But whilst I was there, some friends used to organise many a night out or nights away on a pilgrimage to drink quality Eur

Amazing place for beer lovers especially if you like Belgian ones. They have a gr8 selection nd surely amongst the widest in London. Also the food is good to supplement all the alcohol u would be consuming :)

After a busy shopping sesh in central London, I needed a place to stretch out, enjoy a glass of something and a hearty, warming meal. Despite being central, Lowlander was relatively empty and very accommodating. It was recommended by my brother, an avid beer fan, and so I went with parents in tow, to see what all the fuss was about. This is predominantly a place for beer, and there is something for everyone on the extensive menu. However, I just went for a wine from the small but perfectly formed wine selection at the back, watching from a distance the myriad of funky goblets designated to each beery drink. The menu is standard pub food with a belgique twist; this is a great place to get stuck into a huge bowl of creamy moules marinieres and salty, delicious chips. I went less francais and stuck into a delicious veggie burger; a feta and winter vegetable patty in a brioche bun with caramelised onion jam and a mountain of those delicious chips on the side. Quote from my nephew was his beef burger was 'the best burger for a long while', which is a pretty impressive thing to come from a 18 year old, strapping lad with a bottomless stomach.Mother managed to find herself a gluten free winter salad filled with nutritious beetroot, mixed seeds, mixed salad leaves and creamy goat's cheese. All in all, we were extremely happy with having such a delicious, cosy meal, friendly waiter and a little lesson in the types of beers available to you, should you feel the need. Prices were very reasonable; we waddled off with full tummies and rosy cheeks for not even £20 each.I recommend for something low key, easy-going; a catch up with friends or to get trashed in a civilised setting with the lads.

Always busy, this place is worth booking if you're turning up at a popular time or with a few people. This place offers a fantastic selection of Belgian beers and staff who are able to offer recommendations if you aren't sure what to pick. In addition to the extensive beer menu they offer food throughout the day ranging from sandwiches to proper Belgian food and sharing platters and bar snacks.

This is a great place to hunker down on a cold winter's afternoon to eat hearty food and to drink beer and is especially pretty when all lit by fairy lights in December.

This is probably the best place I have been to for tiramisu. Lowlanders Grand Cafe is a Belgian chain which provides some of the greatest recipes for desserts to its customers.

I went there once and had an absolutely amazing tiramisu, which you would never find in any other cafe or a restaurant in London.

The cafe is in Covent Garden and you can spend around £40 for dining in.

Recently I tried to come back there for the tiramisu but heard they stopped making it. I sincerely hope it is not true.

If you are around the area, you should definitely have one of these!!!

Very friendly and accommodating team. Facilities are all good and most importantly they serve great food. Our party of ten tried a wide range of the menu without a single issue, every plate was empty. An interesting range of beverages too. Recommended!

A long standing Belgian style cafe in central London, I'm really glad it's still here. As it was my birthday yesterday we wanted to come here and celebrate with some special beers. They offer an extensive list of Belgian beers alongside a range of classic food. All the beers are served in their appropriate glasses which makes for a great presentation. We tried four beers and enjoyed everyone of them. Skip the pub and come here for a change you won't regret it

I went in for a drink before going to another venue. Good selection of beer. Moule mariniere and burgers look delicious. I asked for a Diet Coke but got a normal coke instead. I had a few sips before realising the mistake. They changed for me without a problem. Venue looks cool. I would go again!

Lil hidden gem I’ve never heard of - really fun and entertaining staff who had a good knowledge of the wide range of beers on offer. Was very impressed by the amount on offer. Stumbled across it on the hunt for beer and was then spoilt for choice. Want to come back with the boys. Many tourists seemed to be there and were eating full meals. We got some chips which were good.

Loved my visit, such a great choice of beers and had my favourite beer on tap (Kasteel Rouge). Food was lovely, staff were so attentive. Will definitely be coming back and recommending to friends.

I love, love, love this place. If you like Belgian beers this is the place for you. They have an enormous range of beers, including quite a few on draught. The beers are not cheap however and tend to increase in price with ABV, but given they are imported, it's to be expected. The Lowlander also serves food both Belgian and Dutch bar snacks and more substantial meals. I had a burger with blue cheese and fries for £17, which I thought, for central London, was reasonable. It was also delicious. It can get very busy in here so if you are planning to eat I would recommend booking a table (though you can turn up on spec).

Impeccable food and service. The lady who served our table was amazing and you could see that she enjoyed her job. She consistently recommended our colleague great beers.

An excellent Belgian style cafe serving a great range of Belgian beers and of course Moules and Frittes is on the menu. Had a great time with an excellent atmosphere. We even tried a few bottles from the secret cellar 👍🏻
