Excellent place . The food is always freshly made and served at reasonable prices, optimal hygienic conditions and with a really friendly staff not to mention the prompt and punctual service. Highly recommended.
Honey & Co. Warren street, firzrovia, London me stith ek Bahut hi bdhya restaurant hai. Yaha par Aap apne Dosto k saath aa sakte h... Khaana yaha ka Bahut hi bdhya h
The most delicious middle eastern food I have ever had - we went for the set meal with dessert and were completely stuffed towards the end but the cheesecake was so tasty that it was hard to stop! I had the chicken as my main and it was juicy and absolutely delightful. The only thing keeping me from running back would be that the dishes are on the pricey side (the set cost £34.50 with dessert) - but definitely fantastic for a special meal.
Amazing little place with delicious food! We had the chicken shish which was the best dish I’ve had this year (so far), an explosion of flavours !
I was meeting a friend for a long overdue catch up and was trying to think of somewhere we could chat easily and that had plenty of vegetarian options. I had been to Honey and Co a long time ago for lunch and thought it would definitely fit the bill. It is a small place that tends to be packed out so I would recommend booking through their website before you head down although they do keep some tables free for walk-ins.
The mind is a fascinating thing. It can convince ourselves that the bad is good, the good is bad and make a mockery of the middle. It can also confabulate tastes, seemingly tasting things which aren’t there or ignoring the obvious. Sometimes a bit of experimentation of this theme can result in greatness, think here of bacon and egg ice cream. Yet, sometimes things do not go according to plan, I’m looking at coal ice cream from Japan here.
Annie and I loved our visit to Honey & Smoke a few weeks ago, so she suggested we try out their ‘mother’ restaurant, Honey & Co., and kindly offered to book us a table. It’s a tiny, unassuming place which you’d easily pass by unless you were looking for it, located down the far end of Warren Street away from the Tube station, just north of Fitzroy Square. This Israeli-run café, serving Middle Eastern food, has been such a success and so highly acclaimed you couldn’t really call it a café. And like Honey & Smoke, it’s necessary to book well in advance.
A 5/5 is rare from me not that I am a harsh critic but I think a 5 deserves something that makes me remember for such a long time that I crave to eat it immediately.
I have just had probably one of my top breakfast meals in my life and without a joke it was divine !
From the service to the finish everything was superb, we went in without a booking and we were luck to have exactly a table of 4 empty for us we sat happily and ordered he shakshuka ( Best ever I ate ), feta and spinach ( excellent ), the mergues ( Good ), feta pastry ( excellent ).
Everything was superb and the service accompanied it !!
Food 5/5
Service 4/5
Ambience 4/5
This small, unassuming cafe delivers an absolutely superb Middle Eastern meal. I had to book well in advance so be warned. We ordered the 3 course meal with the mezze starter and it did not disappoint.
We could not get enough of the house-made labaneh. That, along with the saffron pears, were my favourite starters. But the falafel and bourekka are nothing to turn your nose up at.
The mains were equally delectable with the pastilla and patlican packing a punch. However a couple of friends said the lentil stew wasn't too flavourful so perhaps give that a miss.
Even after all that, I cannot emphasise enough that you should not skip out on pudding. The cheesecake was probably one of the best desserts I've ever had. It was both sweet and salty, with the crispness of the Greek pastry and the soft creaminess of the sweetened labaneh. It's a complex dish where its component parts work beautifully together. It is unlike any cheesecake, or any dessert, you've ever had.
Long story short: book early, get the set meal, and save room for dessert. You won't regret it.
We went there for lunch. The place was small but it was over taken by the amount of people inside. The design was simple and the main color was sky blue and white. The menu was minimal, and had limited dishes, but when I ordered around 5 dishes and got to taste them, I would highly recommend it for people who want to taste a fusion of mediterranean food. The mix of ingredients used for each dish was not the norm, surprisingly it was very delicious. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful especially rachel. In a nutshell, Its a must go!
Absolutely lovely meals and pastries with a nice shop as well. Although the food there is pretty expensive, it is undeniably delicious! All of the “box” meals bare beautifully prepared and every component is lovely. The pastries and desserts are also absolutely brilliant- I highly recommend the babka!.
Finally, the service is very efficient and the staff are extremely friendly.
I have just one bad thing to say about this place though: please stop giving out plastic cutlery!
What a treat! I had a delicious plum, coconut, and pistachio cake that was incredible. The staff lady was extremely friendly. The store was quite quaint. A great experience all around.
Love to pop in for a takeaway when I'm in the area. Today's vegan box was a delight; the veg koftas and green sauce were delicious as were the slaw and chickpea salad. The veg box certainly brightened my lunch and dinner today. And the super tasty preserved lemon and tahini cookies were meant for sharing. 5*
As a newcomer to the world of chemotherapy, I embarked on my treatment journey with apprehension and uncertainty. However, stepping into Honey and Spice Deli Shop, I found solace in the inviting atmosphere and the aroma of delectable treats. It quickly became a haven where I could momentarily forget the challenges I faced.
MJ's exceptional care and understanding have been a source of immense comfort during my visits. They go above and beyond to ensure that my experience at the deli shop is tailored to my well-being. Their empathy and genuine concern make me feel seen and supported during this difficult time.
Stumbled in this place by chance and ended up coming here 3 times (in 4 days). Pastries are to die for. I read that their lunchboxes are small but I did not try them. They also wrote some recipe books and sell them in the store. Plus they sell jams etc.
One of my favourite lunch places! Food tastes amazing, ingredients are fresh and the box is not bulked up with half a box of rice as in so many other places. I agree many places might have cheaper lunches but the variety and diversity of ingredients is in my opinion worth the price. It would take me at least 3 hours to make similar two salads and main from scratch and I really appreciate that such a tasty and healthy lunch option exists.
Omg I'm a fussy eater but the name Drew me in whilst looking around I was shocked the lady recommended a famous mustard cabbage I had this, potatoes and chicken it was absolutely delicious coffee and a cake to polish it off I wish I made deliveries in this road every day I would definitely recommend
If you like Mediterranean cuisine then this is the go to shop, they have a good range of food to go , spices snacks, cakes and even utilities. Try many things from this place and they were all delicious specially the savoury options. I would advise trying hummus, labneh and sesame bread sticks. From the sweet option the chocolate babka stand out.
Popped in Good Friday for a coffee. Beautiful sunshine so sat outside in the streamers area & shared a delicious almond cake with rhubarb. Itmar and a colleague were "quality controlling" a new guey chocolatey babka type bread on an adjacent table and kindly gave us a huge slice to share. We had a lovely chat whilst licking our fingers & the plate! We ended up, no surprise discussing how he makes the best roast potatoes EVER at the Honey & Smoke restaurant around the corner but were too full on cake and high on coffee to consider an early lunch! Feeling like family & dreaming of roasties! 🥰🤣😘. Thank you.
OMG. Let me start with this statement. I know pastries. I wasn’t really ready for heaven on the day I visited Honey and Spice but I just died and went there. It all started with their Fitzrovia bun. If I had more time I would go on for half a page about the glories of this heavenly victual but I don’t
