One of the better chain restaurants in my opinion - wide selection of pastas risotto pizzas skinny pizzas and lots of different starters to choose from. This is the first time I used tesco vouchers and there was no problem at all. Glass of fizz only 4.95 too!
A successful Italian restaurant chain that plays on good interiors, highly visible gas fired pizza ovens and a reasonably extensive menu.
We went for a birthday dinner in a group of ten.
The Bloomsbury zizzi is a huge volume space, glass on three sides with the focal point a large gas fired pizza oven. The fit out is modern, clean, slightly edgy and clearly popular. All of this seems to be repeated in other zizzi's I've seen in southern England.
The service was good, quick, efficient, helpful, friendly and accurate.
We ordered :
The sharing plate - arancini balls - huge and delicious
Prawn / chicken and pepper skewers - ok
Calzone - very good
A picante pizza rustica - delicious - large thin base topped with tomato sauce, nduja sausage, mozzarella, chilli, pepperoni, salami and rocket - highly recommended if you like mildly hot toppings.
Wild boar pasta - delicious but heavy going to eat a whole plate by itself - better to share I think.
.
Acoustics not brilliant (don't bring an elderly aunt with hearing problems).
Child friendly. Toilets clean.
Would I go back - possibly, but life's too short and London presents too many options to go anywhere regularly (unless you live next door which is unlikely).
Would I recommend it - yes, especially for groups, if you're in the area and your budget suits (ten - thirteen pound pizzas).
Caught up with some childhood friends over dinner. Being a Friday the place was really packed and we had to wait a good 30 mins before we were seated .
By then we had already decided what we were having. We Ordered some Zizzi Olives and Garlic Bread For Starters. The Olives were ok but i dont know why they kept the pits inside !! The Garlic bread looked more just a pizza than the standard bread we are used to but they taste good.
For The mains we ordered Pollo Picante Pizza, Rigatoni Pollo Funghi and Penne Della Casa.
All the 3 Dishes looked like a piece of art , just perfect. The pizza was good but just lacked a bit of seasoning. Rigatoni Pollo Funghi Pasta was delicious and i just loved the spiciness it had ...it was band on. Finally the Penne Della Casai had nicely cooked pork and chicken but the sauce was too watery and had to use a spoon and drink it as soup which was disappointing.
Tip :- - Make a Reservation...the wait is boring
- Try something Different
So many zizzi's I have been to but I feel this one is the best so far a great place and great environment and staff is being nice too. Caramelised garlic bread and mushroom risotto is my favourite.
I've been here a few times. This one's got a particularly stylish and friendly atmosphere. I think it was well priced - I've always come out of there for under 30 pounds, including a good amount of beers and prosecco.
Go there on a zizzi session night to hear a cool artist, eat a pizza and invite loads of mates.
Remarkably quiet though a train strike on a Friday will have impacted that.
Lovely friendly staff, great food and atmosphere. Really reasonably priced for a London venue too. Service was lovely and quick and the bill came shortly after requesting it as we were on a slightly tight schedule.
A handy venue for refreshments after our trip to the British Museum. The greeter was rather abrupt when we arrived, but the pizzas were delicious although we did have to wait some time for them and the restaurant was not particularly busy. In his haste to clear the table, our waiter took away my beer bottle, which still had some beer in it. We don’t go to London very often, so I doubt we will return to this particular restaurant and I wouldn’t rush to go if I was in the area.
An amazing place for good Italian food!
The pasta is just right!
Beer is bottled, wish they had tap beer!
One of the best tasting prawns (King Prawn Spiedini)
Fonduta Formaggi is at its best!
Delle casa is one of the good pastas.
Chicken Calabrese is good!
Pineapple softtail is okay!
The waitress is friendly and good enough, thanks to her for the hospitality!
First time trying Zizzi, and they have a really wide variety on their menu. We opted for the pan fried seabass meal which came with a serving of chips and vegetables. Really tasty! We went around 2.30pm and it was super quiet at this time so service was quick. Drinks were good too, at £7.95 each.
- services at no charge!
- is very good!
- Easy access through IQ and number table after paying a bill through the phone
I ordered the pizza is good and spicy but bread is different 3/5
Tiramisu too strong sweet 4/5
3 course for £22,95 really worth it.
High ceilings, glass windows and very spacious. Perfect for going with a large group. We are a family of 5 and we could get a table without booking on Sunday.
A wood fire oven is the centre of attention in the kitchen.
I’d recommend pizza rather than pasta, which was a bit over cooked for my liking, but ravioli dish was a winner.
We all had starters, mains and desserts. Calamari is so soft inside and crunchy batter outside.
I love the coffee glass cup they use at Zizzi.
Great food & excellent service
Reservations highly recommended - Central Giles location had sign posted not accepting walk-ins until after 8pm. We had zero issue with advanced reservations.
Try the garlic bread! Lots of vegetarian options - try the vegan meatballs, jackfruit pepperoni topping for pizza & lasagna was outstanding
The restaurant was busy when we booked but we didn’t wait long to get to our table. The service was quick. There is variety on the menu for all people with different preferences. The food was served quickly and was delicious. I would recommend visiting here.
Very good Zizzi, good well prepared food and nice staff.
It's a great Italian restaurant.
To begin with the menu is excellent. It has a lot of variety and does much more than the usual pasta and pizza.
It has some delicious desserts and starters. They give free pasta crackers. They are really good!
The service is also fast and the staff is friendly. The Ambience is also good.
You can download the unidays app and get 30 percent off on Monday to Wednesday.
All in all a great place.
Absolutely brilliant.
We had booked, but we're a little early, they happily accommodated us and sorted a table very quickly.
Service was very friendly and professional.
Food came super quick and was fresh, tasty and piping hot. And the portion size was correct, unlike another Zizzi we frequented recently.
Excellent meal all round. If I'm ever back in London I will definitely return.
Great food at Zizzi Central St Giles. The cherry cheesecake was particularly delicious (although the foliage on top isn't necessary).
They were very accommodating for my low fodmap diet, the pizza sauce has no garlic or onion and they altered my choices to make sure everything was ok for me to eat. The gluten free pizza base was good and the service was friendly and fast. Also a nice little sun trap around 1pm.
Very good and nice restaurant. Perfect for the family and when you've been shopping for a whole day. I chose a salted caramel brownie with salted caramel ice cream and it might have been the best dessert I've had so I highly recommend it!!
It's a nice zizzis tucked away in a courtyard, and can be quiet. I had a gluten free pizza a previous visit and it was so greasy! Avoided it this time and went for Pasta which was nice. Shame the price of soft drinks is so high. At least this one accepts Tastecard which makes it more affordable.
Great service, food excellent,
Definitely will go again
