Really nice place to stay for a drink. Have to say that the cocktails are just really good (but be careful of the prices).
The decoration is really nice also, you can have your drink outside in a nice sofa or inside with the music and some candles.
After your drink you can haver your diner with really nice meat but you have to add a side dish (so the price is going up). I have to say that the side dish was too small so that's my only bad point.
I celebrated a recent birthday here with a stunning dinner. I initially chose for my first Gaucho experience to be in London City but swayed towards the Tower Bridge location, due to the gorgeous view.
Unfortunately, even after making a special request in advance, I didn't get a table near the window, but I still had a great time.
The service from start to finish was impeccable. We decided to give the starters a miss as we really wanted to enjoy our steak. However, you are given bread and dips whilst you wait. I opted for the spiral cut fillet - and my partner the larger Sirloin cut. Both steaks were just incredible. My fillet was literally melt in the mouth good. We complimented these with a lovely bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon. I felt like something sweet after so I had a selection of sorbets which were also really good. I was also treated to a birthday espresso martini!
It isn't the cheapest place to eat but it is also not the most expensive! I really recommend you give it a try!
Miglior ristorante per mangiare carne argentina (e ottimi dessert dei quali mi sono ricordata di fare la foto) in un posto d'eccezione accanto al Tower Bridge.
Famous for beef and wine, Argentina is the eighth largest country in the World. There’s a certain romance and passion about this place, home to Evita, the Tango and the Gaucho, cowboys of the South American Pampas. The eponymous restaurant group has, for many years now, served some of the best steak in London and UK. It pre-dates Hawksmoor, Goodmans and others and has always focused on Argentinian beef. Hard to believe that it was founded in 1976. I was first treated to a steak at Gaucho in Piccadilly when I was still at school. Descending into, what seemed at the time, a very adult and glamorous nightclub, walls decorated with cowhide, mirrors and leather, we joined the beautiful people of London. I ate my way through a buttery, melting fillet steak that bore absolutely no resemblance to boarding school suppers. It was The Business. I really can’t remember why I was there. But, I do remember the steak.
Gaucho isn't the best steakhouse in town, but this branch has one of the better location and views for a decent date or client meeting. My personal choice of cut is the fillet, but they cook their rump pretty well too. The pao de quiejo is so moreish and addictive, make sure you control yourself from gobbling these up before you have your mains!
First a big thank you to Lucie who provided perfect service. Unfortunately I had a tooth infection and really had no place in a steak restaurant especially one that would hurt the pocket a Lil but nothing was gonna stop me. So 2 ibuprofen later I was celebrating my 5 year anniversary with an amazing variety of breads to start. The butter was amazing and along with the chilli oil I was in heaven with such a delicious choice of warm breads. We was shown the steaks and given a Lil info on what's best. We went for the 600g rib eye sharing steak with a chilli garnish and peppercorn sauce and a mushroom one too. Gosh that steak guys! It was amazballs! Cooked medium it just melted in the mouth. We had creamy mash, sweet potato and pumpkin humita for our sides. I can't take all the credit though cos lucie made great suggestions. I had a non alcoholic mojito (on antibiotics) and my partner had a giovanonni kettle one which he enjoyed. This place is a must guys!!
Regular favourite with impeccable service and some of the best prepared beef I've eaten. The wine list has lots of great offerings and the recommendations we've had by the staff have always impressed. Reservations are a must otherwise you'll never get a table by just walking in.
Great location. Average staff but great steaks!
Amid the modernity and shining glass and steel of More London Place, Gaucho is an upmarket Argentinian steak house which caters for the many local business people. The restaurant is smart and playfully decorated in the hides of the animals which feature on the menu. The low light and view over the river to the Tower and Tower Bridge lend the restaurant an indulgent atmosphere.
The dining experience begins with a waiter explaining the difference between each but and heartily recommending the most expensive. The care with which the butchery and aging of the meat is carefully detailed and you are left to employ your newly acquired expertise in choosing from the menu.
The food is, indeed, very nicely cooked, and to perfection if, like me, you enjoy steak best when blue. The rest of the menu is more than an after thought, with interesting sides to add to the main. The wine is also very good.
Gaucho is not a cheap meal, but as an experience it is entertaining and, for stake fans, it's a must.
We visited for my husband's birthday. We cannot fault our experience at all. The food was absolutely amazing and the staff were too. As soon as we walked in we were made to feel special. Our server was knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions we had. The scallops were cooked perfectly as was the steak, lobster and the cheesecake 💖. When Giovani knew it was my husband's birthday he brought over a small dessert complete with birthday message and candle. What a nice touch. Its a fabulous place. Would recommend it and we will definitely be back.
Fantastic food, really couldn't fault any of it. We were walking past the restaurant and decided we fancied a steak dinner, and it was a great decision in the end! Our sirloin and ribeye steaks were cooked to perfection, the broccoli and mushroom sides were delicious and my partner really enjoyed the orange negroni. For me, the icing on the cake was the truffle butter I had with my steak... Delicious! Great service, fantastic food, and very memorable food. Would definitely come here again.
Was beautiful food, Mac and cheese was so good, so was the mash. Steak great. Chips could’ve been a lot better - they were cold and very salty. Waitress was professional but felt she could’ve been a lot more friendly. Nice atmosphere. Don’t think we’ll be back but was a good experience.
Quite a nice little Argentinian restaurant. Great ambience and some nice cocktails. Try the rum honey which is smoke infused.
The food is quite good but the chefs could really work on their plating skills to present the food better. The food tastes great but presentation is a let down.
The wine prices could also be dropped a bit as it is on the expensive for middle of the road wine.
Other than that it was great service and my wine glass was always full.
The Christmas day 5 course meal was incredible. 5 stars from me 👏👏
Returned in March, had the steak sampler, with a selection of sides. Honestly a fantastic choice. Great succulent Juicy steaks.
My favourite sides were the King oyster mushrooms, and the and the mac and cheese.
Awesome amazing restaurant. Highly recommended.
Lovely afternoon at Gaucho. We had a bottle of house red which was lovely. Bread board to start, followed by a ribeye and fillet steak. It was the best steak I have ever ate. Melt in your mouth is the best description. The service was great and the atmosphere - nice and chilled. I will definitely return here in the future. Highly recommend if you are looking for a more upmarket experience. The total bill was under £200 and very reasonable for the quality of food and service. Thank you Gaucho, again you are above and beyond the competitors.
The ambience was great and food was good.
Service wise, our host Jevon gave us great recommendations for what to try and what wines were great pairings.
Overall, the place was worth the price and it was a pleasant experience.
