Hidden gem in London. Beautiful food, authentic and homemade in taste. A real cosy vibe. Cannot believe how fairly priced it is for being so central, will definitely be visiting again.

Fantastic small restaurant in Soho. Came for food before a theatre performance and the staff, food and atmosphere are excellent. Highly recommended.

Cosy little bar and restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating and a nice Mediterranean menu, including vegetarian options.
Staff were friendly and fast service for drinks and food. Nice and central for Soho and the theatre district.
Visited with friends and shared a mezze starter with hummus which was delicious. We had chicken escalope, vegetarian moussaka and lasagna for mains, all of which were lovely!
The only downsides were that some wines on the menu were not available (though we were able to sample alternatives before choosing), and the toilets needed some attention (1 women's toilet that was not flushable and needed repairs).
Would visit again, if I could give half stars, I would bump up to 4.5 🙂

My Partner and I love this restaurant! I have eaten here about 5 times now and I truly believe they have the best avocado dish in London! In addition to the baked avocado, I love the espresso martinis and their chicken dishes. Staff are always friendly and I always look forward to visiting.

Ali, the owner of Med Cafe Soho, is the friendliest and most welcoming restaurant owner I've ever met. He really makes you feel at home. And the food? Simply amazing. A must-visit in London.

Im a chef myself so belive me when i say the food is outstanding 100% would recomend
The open kitchen to the resturant is great and allows you to see the true skills of the chef who is clearly very good at what he does and knolagable when it comes to his skill one of the best places we have found while in london

......but Mediterranean Café is such a gem. Located on Berwick Street, right by the market I really don't understand why Mediterranean Café isn't completely packed. The menu spans across a range of cuisines (the clue's in the name) offering up some dishes that are very authentically Greek, some Italian, Turkish etc. Ordering a la carte is seriously reasonably priced, but if you can manage to get there at lunch time the set menu is priced at £8.95 for two courses or £9.95 for three! You also still get loads of choice as the menu isn't very limited at all. I popped in for lunch with my Dad a few weeks ago and we ordered from the set lunch menu. To start off I had the fried squid. Unfortunately

This is one of those old school, independent restaurants. Family owned, quite friendly and a bit laid back. I liked it enough to go more than once.

The decor is very busy, the walls covered by old posters and heavy mirrors. The overall effect is not bad though.

The food is good Turkish/Lebanese fare. Portions were above average and prices are attractive. I liked the babaghanoush and hummus starter very much indeed. (Yes, there are complimentary olives and bread!)

Among the mains, my favourite is the Iskender kofte, well grilled meatballs on a bed of rice, garlic/tomato sauce and yoghurt. Really one of the nicest dishes I have ever tasted. My fellow diners tried the seafood special (served with mash) and more tame options like the shish taouk. No complaints.

I tried Turkish coffee for the first time here, and nearly downed the sediment along with the centimetre high liquid in the shot glass. Interesting experience though.

Very decent mediterranean food with a three course menu for 8.50! if you're lucky enough you can enjoy the meal in one of the two tables on the street and roast under londons' sun.
