A hidden gem in Notting Hill. My Nana and I stumbled upon this place on our trip to England and returned twice while we were staying in the area because it was so good! They are open late and have a wonderful atmosphere and friendly service. The food was delicious and they portion it just right. Will return on our next visit to London!

One of the best finds in a long time. Excellent food, great atmosphere (reminds me of New York for some reason). Staff are really good too.

I was recently invited to a party in Notting Hill. There was a miscommunication, and I was there 2 hours early. I needed to kill some time, and my tummy was rumbling. So I ducked into De Amicis, thinking it looked nice.

I should add that this was a Saturday night. I got into the restaurant early, and it was fairly empty - one family eating an early dinner. I ordered a Margherita, and by the time it came, the place was starting to fill up a bit. Clearly this place was know by locals, particularly families, which seemed to flock over for a bit of early dinner. I could see why. My pizza was very reasonably priced, and surprisingly tasty. And the staff were lovely. My waitress sat me at a big table, not anticipating the rush that was to come. She realised she had to move me, and couldn't have been nicer when going about it.

If I'm ever too early for an event in Notting Hill again, you can sure I'll be back.

Screw Flanders.

Finally got to try this family restaurant for lunch today. Ravioli with sage butter was very tasty. Pizza was good, but needs improvement. More ham and tomato sauce needs more spices, such as oregano. Minestrone soup was good, but needs more spices to elevate flavor and richer taste. Suggestion maybe add some beans as well. Cake was lovely. Cassata was the old fashioned way done and delicious! Coffee macchiato was bit strong. Will come back to try more food.

The best Italian in London. Honest Italian homey feel food. Delicious no nonsense food. People who go once make it their regular. So friendly. The house wine is good too. The chef Marco connects with the customers.

Carbonara was better than some of the carbonara so have eaten in Rome, Italy! Atmosphere is cosy and welcoming. Staff are wonderful and accommodating and the food is excellent, really a taste of Italy if you are looking for that in London. Great house red wine.

Our party of 8 celebrated a colleague's retirement here and it was wonderful. The food was excellent and we had a variety of items - lasagna, straciatella soup, salads, sea bass, garlic prawns, etc. The service was relatively slow as there were only 2 waiters for a full restaurant but ours handled our requests and split checks well. Can't wait to come back.

Excellent service, delicious food, lovely atmosphere. We loved the soft music playing in the background and together with the lighting and the décor, they really made us feel like in a corner of Italy. The food was delicious, we ordered a variety of starters, mains and desserts and everything was extremely nice! The staff were lovely, very attentive, whilst at the same time giving us enough space to enjoy the intimate atmosphere of the restaurant. Everything was perfect. Thank you for hosting our special event - we couldn't wish for a nicer experience!

Very nice privately owned Italian restaurant, owned by Italians. Food was tasty, well cooked and hot. Reasonably priced for where it is. Good value.

Pasta, desserts and soup were very good. Subtracting a star for the fairly boring pizza, we got the “de la casa” version and the tiny amount of ham needed a forensic scientist to figure out 😀 Good, friendly service. The cassata and torta de la nonna both great.

It is typical Italian restaurant. The restaurant is visited by many guests. It may happen that the restaurant will be full when you arrive. If the restaurant is full, the staff have a lot to do and there may be longer waits for food or payment. The food was amazing and the establishment is very clean with a pleasant atmosphere.

The food was fantastic and the staff were great. It was a little touristy, but we ourselves were tourists so it's hard to complain

Food was good and the staff was friendly. However the service was very slow, it took way too long for the meals we ordered.

I visited this place with my girlfriend and a couple of friends for dinner. The restaurant was fully booked because of the “Eat out to Help out” scheme but the manager squeezed us in somehow which we highly appreciated. The overall experience was positive. The service was good however they seemed to be slightly understaffed. Food was good but the pizza was very hard/crunchy. The premises looked very old but clean, in general. It’s definitely worth a try.
