A romantic atmosphere, in the heart of London... It's a must! the food is great, the service is perfect and the location is good. I highly recommend this place
When I'm in town it's the first place I go. Ffiona's is simply the best in London, my first stop as soon as I arrive. Me and the missus discuss what we're having before we even get there - a good choice in veggie dishes and fresh fish and Devon scallops and the desserts are wonderful. Ffiona goes out of her way to make us welcome and comfortable - truly a local gem and the best Kensington has to offer.
Everyone's happy..... I can honestly say Ffiona's restaurant ticks all the boxes. Ffiona is there and attentive yet doesn't intrude on your evening, she's got the right mix of good food, great atmosphere and we ALL get just what we want - several vegetarian options, the hardened traditional British food fans get their roast beef and full English breakfast and on Saturday Ffiona told us she will be serving fish and chips soon, can't wait 'cos we know it will be exceptional. Highly recommended!
A Really Unique Restaurant. I also cannot recommend Ffiona's highly enough. We went last night and had a delicious meal of asparagus, salad with fig, mint and feta cheese and fishcakes. We had a chilled rose which was perfect for the summer evening. It wasn't just the food though. Ffiona is genuinely charming and entertaining. It is a breed apart from anonymous restaurants with absent owners.
Perfect...... I have now been to Ffiona's several times and never fail to have a wonderful evening. The food is exceptional and I am very confident in recommending Ffiona's as I know the experience will live up to expectations. Ffiona does a great set menu now for only £19.95 which is incredibly good value; you just know the food is fresh, cooked to order and is made with the best ingredients. The menu varies and she will bend over backwards to make sure you have something that you will enjoy. The atmosphere is cosy, candlelit, warm and inviting - ideal for couples or a group of friends but be warned you won't want to go on anywhere you'll just want to stay ensconced in this delightful restaurant. And now Ffiona is doing brunch, more delicious food and a place to relax with the papers, just perfect.

For good food in nice surroundings go to Ffiona's!. Since I was introduced to Ffionas a couple of years ago it has become my favourite place to eat.
The service is personable and charming (I read one other review saying that the service was rude... Did the reviewer ask for it perhaps as Ffiona's only ever been a sweetie to me and any number of friends I've sent in there?).
Ffiona also offers an amazing set menu deal, the only odd thing is that the menu isn't 'set' and that you can choose anything of the main menu that you want. It's a really amazing deal.
The food is great and served in good sized portions. The atmosphere is convivial and feels like you've been invited into someone's home to eat. Ffiona has pulled up a chair and stopped for a chat a couple of times and judging by the conversations with other customers she seems to have a large faithful following.
The winelist is not too heavy going an there are bottles, half bottles or glasses available to suit a range of pockets... The prosecco that we were offered (on the house - thanks!) was really good and proved that it doesn't have to be champagne to be good.
I was delighted to see that Ffiona's starting administering brunch to those (like me) who crave something tasty of a Sunday morning but hate the mess of a fry up (like me!). The menu is a mix of things, I think it's on the website now, and the bloody marys are dangerously good.
I'd recommend this place to anyone in need of a good meal in nice surroundings any day.
The Pancakes came highly recommended and as such I ordered them and put them to the test. They do not look like the traditional pancakes you’d expect; in fact my initial reaction to seeing them made me wonder as to whether I had made the right decision in ordering them. After one bite all my suspicions were put to rest as the Pancakes were simply sublime. They were perfectly prepared and their unique texture proved to be quite refreshing and a change from the typical pancakes I am usually used to. The portion was generously sized at three pancakes and was served with bananas, butter and maple syrup. With an order of freshly squeezed orange juice on the side, this proved to be quite the perfect meal for brunch. Ffiona’s has grown to become a local favorite amongst the residents of Kensington and I can certainly see why. The superb food at a great value combined with Ffiona's irresistible charm and warm welcome have also made me a loyal customer out of me.
ffiona’s is a cozy, family run restaurant that serves British food with a modern twist. Service is friendly, attentive – don’t be surprised if you are served by Ffiona herself. Many guests at ffiona’s seem to be regulars (or were on the evening that I visited). Ffiona knows exactly where her meat, seafood and produce (organic) come from and trusts her suppliers to supply only the best and the very fresh! She makes sure that everything is cooked to perfection. The daily menu is hand-written with chalk on a black board. Ffiona is happy to suggest wines to go with the food you order and rattles off specials of the day that she describes as “life-changing” or “to-die-for” (specials are not listed on the blackboard menu). The food is fresh, delicious and creative.

I stumbled upon Ffiona’s on a walk while visiting London and could quickly tell I accidentally found a true neighborhood gem. Everyone there was a regular and the owner(I presume), Fiona, seemed to recognize everyone who was there. The food was amazing and the service was great, so kind and inviting. When the people I sat around learned it was my first time they assured me I’d made a good choice in spontaneous dining. Definitely a new favorite spot in London.
Had such a lovely brunch here - the food was excellent and the prices very reasonable. The french toast was delicious as was the Eggs Benedict. What really made brunch stand out however was the service! All of the waitresses were amazing and so friendly (and so quick with getting our orders out!). The atmosphere was one that felt very familiar and welcoming and every waitress made my friend and I were the only customers in the busy restaurant. I look forward to coming back another time!
Compact to say the least but what it lacked in size it more than made up for with the staff and food. I like a larger portion and was not disappointed. The food was glorious and filling, and considering the location great value for money. We were full to busting until teatime. Go visit now!

Ffionas always feels like you’ve been invited to someone’s home, and they prepare a very delicious British Breakfast, finished off with sticky toffee pudding or a very sinful french toast. In fact, Ffionas French Toast is my favorite and has to be one of the top french toasts in London!
I often get the Eggs Benedict or their special Beetroot Benedict. If you come on a Sunday, you can have the Sunday Roast menu as well, which is good but feels like home-cooked Sunday Roast that you can get from any pub.
My biggest recommendation has to be the french toast, it’s amazing and I keep coming back for it!
The service is the second most amazing thing about Ffionas (after the french toast), with Ffiona herself often being there to greet you with a warm smile and mentally calculate your bill on a piece of paper (cute and old school). I love it a lot!
The ambiance also makes it a nice date place, with beautiful music sheet wallpapers that makes you feel at home.

A wonderful neighbourhood restaurant up Kensington Church Street where Ive' been going for 30+ years. An interesting authentically English menu and accompaniments, Ffiona is a great omnipresent personality and has well co-ordinated support from the kitchen and her servers. Its not fancy - its just good - the kind of dinner that you wish your gran was cooking up in the kitchen for a weekend dinner. Always a treat and loads of fun. Bookings essential. An icon.
Such a cozy place! My sister and I had a fantastic experience here. Delicious food and extremely friendly service. I wish we were able to go back a second time during our visit! I cannot wait to go again next time I’m in London. Don’t miss out :)

Enjoyed some authentic English breakfast here, with maybe the best cappuccino I've had on an eatery in London ! Staff was super friendly and although we didn't have a reservation (was Sunday morning) they managed to find us the perfect spot. A bit on the pricey side but totally worth it, I will revisit soon !

Outstanding homely restaurant which has a personal feel. The food is absolutely excellent, and the service is very personal. Highly recommend the chicken Kiev and fish pie. Everything on the menu is homemade and you can really tell - the sides change depending what is fresh for the day. Deserts are gorgeous - sticky toffee pudding is divine as is the apple crumble. Would definitely come back in a heartbeat!
Absolutely lovely experience with amazing food! Fiona herself is always there and so warm and welcoming and the same for her staff. I honestly wished I lived there so that I could make that a regular stop. I can't recommend it enough.
