Great little local bar with a small contemporary hotel above. Comfortable and stylish pub with great service, friendly locals and a little garden in the back for sunshine and (unfortunately) smoking. Apparently they do great Asian food as advised by a Chef who comes here for his break during his double shift. Must try it out.
Stayed one night here and wish we could have stayed longer and made more use of the beautiful clean and stunning room.
We had room 8 which is 3 flights of stairs up, so wouldn’t be great with luggage.
Room really well equipped, with coffee pod machine, kettle, fridge, ironing board, hairdryer, Netflix, dressing gown, slippers and more. Free water, chocolate, crisps, nuts. The most comfiest of nights sleep on a firm mattress and quality bedding. Beautiful shower. Water pressure a little low.
Drinks served until 2300 and 10% discount offered on food and drink if staying. Unfortunately we were there too late for dinner but menu looked good.
Check out easy- just pop the key back in the letterbox of pub next door to private door to rooms.
Will definitely stay here again if in London.
Near underground station and restaurants and coffee shops.
I booked the new back room for a retirement party for my colleague on 25 May. It was a lovely evening and the impeccable, attentive service from Nicola and George was very much appreciated! It is a lovely, fresh, snug space with a lush, thick curtain you can pull over for added privacy. With beautiful wooden high tables and comfortable chairs it is a great place for a gathering of 15 odd. I would highly recommend the sharing platters, totally delicious along with the Thai fries. Lovely selection of wines (the French rose is very nice) and beers and of course top shelf spirits. If you want to smoke you can hang outside with your drink, take your time and chat to the regulars. It is a very dog friendly place which is a perk for us animal lovers and check out the portraits on the walls! I had to book quite last minute and George was ever so helpful. There was no charge for the room or minimum spend (very unusual on busy nights!) and yet we were treated like royalty :-) Tucked away on Saffron Hill it is a real gem of a place, very close to Farringdon tube and overground stations. The actual pub itself is very roomy and fresh too. I am looking forward to going back soon. Thank you George and Nicola!! Zoe B
This place is a must stay if you want to be centrally located (London), close to train station (600ft), and all the local sites. The rooms are beautiful & the Pub has a great chef and menu. Just a note. The stairs to get to rooms above the pub are steep. Love this place!!!
Out in London so decided to book a room. Great location 2 minutes from Farringdon station. The staff are lovely, room small but had everything we needed. We had dinner on the second night and the food was great.
Been considering pubs with rooms for a while and enjoyed the first try here:) Literally across the street from Farringdon, with easy connection to Heathrow and other locations via tube and trains.
The adequate amenities are great, better than some Marriott hotels (the days are gone when all decent hotels offer vanity kits and toothbrushes and slippers). Also love the soya “shots”. Not vegetarian, but really like the unique idea.
The room is clean and nicely decorated, spacious with high ceilings (although there’s some water remaining in the kettle.)
The area is bustling in the evening and quiet at night and in the morning. Mostly feels safe upstairs with a separate entrance. (Just wish the bathroom window can be locked for extra security.)
This was a decent visit before doing something else in the area. The main driver was sampling the Thai food. The chicken Rendang curry which came with rice and bread was very good and the pad Thai not too bad either (so I’m told).
It was a bit strange to be charged the 12.5% service charge having ordered food at the bar, so the bill came to more than expected. Essentially I ordered two drinks at the bar with a couple of mains and the charge was added to it.
To be fair the drink prices weren’t too bad for the area. A pint of Star is the best value in terms of cost and value if that happens to be your poison.
The staff weren’t overly friendly either, but assisted with retrieving a lost item down a drain during the visit so that claws back a pint or two.
The food and booze were nice and good value. Perhaps just more friendliness and transparency about extra costs would go a long way. Still scrapes a 4/5 by the width of a Rizla paper.
The lady at the bar is quite friendly and helpful.
Food is good and the experience is a great British Pub experience.
If you visit the pub be open with staff and customers you never know who you may meet🇬🇧
Saturday evening is calm and cool
Glad we chose One Tun. Close to the tube and multiple restaurants. Relaxing neighborhood compared to the big hotel area. Tina took great care of us checking in, eating and drinking.
The One Tun Pub is less than 5 minutes away from the Farrington train station that offers a direct link to both Gatwick and Heathrow airports. It's also easy to get to Windsor Castle with a connection in Slough. The rooms sit on top of the pub which can be noisy in the evening but fairly quiet later on.
Great pub with plenty of beer choices!! Lots of places to sit inside. Although being in the centre of office spaces almost always crowded. The front road taken over by anyone visiting here. Indeed great service and must visit!!!
